My husband and I stayed here last month for our honeymoon. Room was nice but not what we expected. After we checked in, tv didn’t work, the cable was in and out, loud construction outside of our room, I tried to enjoy a morning cup of coffee on balcony but jackhammering was too loud, no gym, no tiki by the pool, pool area seemed to be under renovations. For the price, the hotel should feel like a resort and not a construction site. Another issue, we were charged an additional $200 on our credit card 3 weeks after we checked out. Charged $39 a day for parking which was not mentioned upon check in and twice for the resort fee. Do not stay here right now, too many missing amenities and lots of noise from the construction.

Post hurricane construction, we should have known, but we didn’t - very disappointing. The resort is practically destroyed. However, staff is above and beyond, very professional, friendly, accommodating. The room was spacious and very nice. Good quality toiletries, coconut flavor. Unfortunately, I hate coconut so - touché. Ordered Caesar salad from room service. Wonderful quality! Chicken was super moist and delicious, you could taste the rosemary. Dressing was freshly made. Even anchovies, were good quality. I would like to come back when resort is restored. I’ll bring my own toiletries :)

An absolute must stay if you are coming to Naples. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The property is still undergoing renovations due to the water damage from the hurricane but the building that is still open is phenomenal. Place was very clean and the views of the ocean were second to none. Rooms are fully updated, you can even see the ocean from the jacuzzi / shower. The hotel also has a special member club so you’ll see tons of exotic cars pulling up. Beach chairs and umbrellas are included in the stay (first come first serve) so I recommend heading down to the beach before 9am so you can reserve a spot in the front row. Since renovations are going on probably until the end of the year the hotel partnered with the LA fitness in the area to give hotel guests free day passes which I think speaks volumes about the hotel. Valet is very fast and always very professional and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we come back down to Naples for the weekend!

As an event planner I site visit a lot of properties and this one was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was so welcoming and the staff were absolutely incredible. Everyone knew everyone, the team was always willing to lend a hand and ask if you need assistance, and the property itself felt more like Key West than Naples (in the best way possible). First, my room was light and bright, well equipped, clean, and everything you'd want from an ocean view room. The furniture and amenities were fantastic and I wouldn't change a thing. The meeting space is perfect for a group looking to host a high event with a beach vibe feel. With the event space over looking the harbor, its the perfect location to wow your guests! We also visited the golf course and the team there really rolled out the red carpet! The course was in immaculate shape and the event space was great for a group of about 100. Unfortunately we didn't end up booking our event here but not for lack of the property being amazing, it just wasn't a fit for our group in particular but I would 1000% recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and high-end experience without the stuffiness.

We stayed at La Playa recently for the first time. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to do it. At the time I’m writing this, the property is still undergoing some work repairing the damage done by Hurricane Ian. And from our perspective, that work in no way affected our stay. In fact, we weren’t aware of it at all. The property, the beach, our room, etc were all great. Our meals at Baleen were all excellent! But best of all was the staff. Across the board, everyone was incredibly friendly and professional. Everyone we dealt with made our anniversary stay more special. Special thanks to Susan, who helped us a check-in, went above and beyond making sure we were happy. Also Michael who helped us several times during our stay, Cornell our bellman, and our servers, Ogi, Adriano, and Eric. (As you can tell, the people really made all the difference.) This was our first visit, but it won’t be our last.

Overall this is a lovely place to stay. Pros: The staff! All but 1 are extremely friendly and go above and beyond! The view and sunsets are breathtaking! The beach staff are exceptional and the beach is AMAZING! The valet team were my favorite! They are professional but also down to earth and funny. I was impressed with the kindness. Our waitress at Baleen, Melissa, was the best! Cornell was the sweetest and kindest person in the resort too! The bed and pillows are comfortable. Cons: The grumpy guy working the front desk. He was down right rude. There are not restaurants within walking distance except for the hotel. The jetted tub/shower are incredibly difficult to get into and out of because of the glass doors. This would not be easy to give a kiddo a bath in. This place is family friendly with a high end clientele. This means spoiled kids. They were everywhere our last night. The pool was closed for a day but no one could give a real reason why. Rude guy at the front desk told me he didn’t know and to figure it out. He also said he didn’t know if it would reopen. There is a mini bar fridge in the room that we emptied to put food in but it was super tiny. The first night we needed ice and called the front desk for an ice bucket. A young lady brought one but told us in the future to go find one and wash it ourselves in the sink. We had our room cleaned once during our week long stay. All that was accomplished was the bed being made with the same linens. I know they were not changed because of the blood spot on the sheets from my leg. (I fell in the ocean). Towels were only hung up and the floor was not vacuumed. Half the buttons on the TV remote would not work but that is me being petty. The drinks are strong but very pricey. We did not have any food from the resort or purchase anything from the boutique. Yes, the elevator is slow but not a big deal at all. There are no laundry services at the resort. The resort is under construction but we knew that going into our vacation. Be prepared that all the stores close around 7:00pm. No evening shopping.

-update: post hurricane I haven't gone. Giving them time for recovery. My little get away locally. So relaxing. Eating breakfast there and just enjoying the view is so nice. Everyone there is more than accommodating and I always have a great time. The pools are very nice and beautiful as well. Nice quiet place to go to. Great service as well.

Excellent experience! Great service. Perfect location. Spacious rooms. Even though they are under renovations all they employees make you feel as a special guest and you forget the limited access to some amenities. My five year old daughter wants to come back 😊. She was treated as a princess

Front desk staff was friendly and professional. The hotel is currently under renovation, there was only one set of 2 elevators that worked. There were long lines to get in the elevator. Once inside the elevator there was no AC and it would get packed like sardines. Ordered a cappuccino at the bar downstairs at 10:30 am. They didn’t have milk had to wait about 15 mins for a $8.49 capuchino in a carton cup. The housekeeping staff were friendly, the views from the rooms were great.

Great food and service! We didn't stay in the hotel but I can recommend lunch and dinner here (sunset right at the beach while being served an amazing dinner, just perfect!)

We had a wonderful stay at La Playa during the holiday season. I booked the room through Traveluro and then fortunately called the hotel to confirm and found that my reservation was canceled due to block out dates. The in house reservationist worked with me to get a reasonable rate. I still think with all the construction and lack of use of amenities the prices are high. Our service in general was very good and our room was very nice in the Gulf Tower. It is missing those small details that make a place special and gives your stay that extra touch. There is a small Keurig in the room, but no tea is offered and there was no bottled water in our room. Also, please offer to go cups in the room. Apparently, there was bottled water offered but at $9/bottle. That is a no go for me. I never did figure out the in home bar situation. It was not restocked or replenished. Maybe I missed something here. Unfortunately, I left my wallet in the room safe. I realized it after our day long travel. Fortunately, I did have my license, but my credit cards, medical cards, etc. were in there. I called the front desk later in the day and Wenderson told me to fill out a form online as housekeeping was closed for the day. I found this answer disappointing and frustrating. There seemed to be a total lack of urgency. I understand if this was a piece of clothing or some other item of little importance, but a wallet! Come on! I pushed Wenderson and he stepped up so thank you! PLEASE change your policy and train your staff to understand when a situation requires immediate attention. Being told by Wenderson and then Loukenny that I have to wait, fill out forms, there is nothing they can do because they are busy and it is in another building is not a great response.

My partner and I ate at Baleen (the hotel's main restaurant) this weekend and it was amazing! The restaurant has a special service where you can do a private dinner on the beach (the table was set up on the beach towards the left hand side of the restaurant so while we could see the restaurant, it was still far away to fee private). We had a reservation for 6:30 and were able to watch the sunset. The table and space was so nicely decorated (the picture is only one angle of the set-up) and the service was amazing - the manager and the head waiter (shoutout to Adriano) really made the night feel special. The food, of course, was delicious. Would 100% recommend this location and restaurant for a special dinner celebration.

My husband and I would like to start by thanking Carlos the resort manager and Richard from Laz VIP for the exceptional welcome. We went for a 40th wedding anniversary and it was exactly what we needed. It is a beautiful quaint resort that has everything that you need to have a great time whether it's just being lazy out by the beach, going for a power-walk or relaxing in your own balcony, which is exceptional. The food at Baleen was great. Every staff member greeted us kindly and professionally. The rooms are very spacious well decorated and extra comfortable. LaPlaya can be a much or as little as you need it to be that's why it's so perfect. A rare find. We will be back. Thank you.

We paid a lot of money to stay at LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort. The location is great but the hotel has issues they need to deal with. The hotel has 1 working elevator so you need to have extreme patience. There was a hurricane 1 year ago and the hotel still has only 1 working elevator for both staff and guests. Many other properties were also damaged. We stayed on the 15th floor and twice it was faster to take the stairs up. It's was always faster to take the stairs down. We had the same loud neighbors 3 nights in a row. On the 3rd night of complaining, the front desk raised their tone with my wife and argued back with her. Also, one of the towel/chair guys asked if he could take our umbrellas at 4:40. My wife said she preferred to keep using the umbrella. He took it down anyways and she told him you weren't going to listen anyways. He then started talking back to my wife saying the sun sets in 1 hour from now and he had to take it because all the umbrellas had to come down. He lied because 45 minutes later, there were still umbrellas that were not taken down. Talking back to guests and lying to us? I'm not used to that from any hotel. The shower had no moderate temperature. Either scalding hot or cold. We all had to have baths to get which is neither convenient or very clean. On the 3rd day we complained. The maintenance/engineer was kind but said it would take 45 min to fix. This was at 10pm when we were trying to put our child to sleep. So we had baths again. The beach was awesome and the staff were good. We found service to be slow and disappointed that they take an automatic 20% tip no matter how long it takes. We found that we recived better service if we approached a server at the tiki bar rather than waiting for servers to come. The Baleen restaurant was really good and had fantastic service with a great view. Staff were friendly and informative. The Valet guys were great, always opening amd closing the doors for us. UPDATE: Carlos - thank you for responding, we appreciate that. To be fair, I posted this late at night, before giving your hotel a chance to respond. We spoke with a manager named Ken the next day. Ken was genuinely interested in our concerns. He took the time to listen and took care of us. Apparently he has been with your company for 17 years. That says a lot about who your company is. We were still able to enjoy our vacation but these things certainly added up. We understand that the hurricane had quite an impact on the area. After dealing with Ken, we will come back to LA Playa. Thank you for addressing our concerns.

Not a great experience for us,they are not fully open and they don’t seem to care about the inconvenience, creepy bellman that’s handsy with multiple women during our stay, no gym. don’t bother with the elevator had to take stairs multiple times, hot room that you can’t adjust thermostat, cold shower everyday! Paper thin walls with loud neighbors beach menu was no good, chips and old lettuce and no options..they REALLY need to consider closing until they can offer a full experience for beach front stays.

Location- 5 stars Valet staff-5 stars Beach towel guys- 5 stars We’ve been here many times over the years but not since last years hurricane. Sadly, No warning on the website could prepare one for how UNprepared for actual paying guests they are. Unless they posted photos of the messy and hazardous construction all around the property, pool, decks. It’s a mess. You have to avoid cars just to get TO your valet stand. There is no real Kitchen yet and they don’t have some very basic items that require about 12 square inches of space in a fridge like non diary milk for coffee. Food was inconsistent. Some great and some awful. Just basic stuff but they really aren’t ready for paying guests. The room itself and view is GORGEOUS however the trade off is the rates and long waits for the one elevator for which we took the stairs most of the time up and down 6 flights. So, we DID get some exercise:). But some others may not want to wait 10 minutes in the heat for the elevator. I also think that charging a “resort fee” of any kind for a resort that is not yet a resort again, is unkind- Particularly when they charge $9 for a bottle of water. Maybe they should offer the facility only to their “members” until they are ready to offer what one pays for. I’m hoping for the best in their recovery but this visit wasn’t too enjoyable. I’d suggest waiting for your visit until then. It felt more Holiday Inn-ish….

Our families have been meeting here every July for 25 years. It is such a relaxing and stress free vacation. We have enjoyed getting to know much of the staff and always feel so welcome and accommodated. The rooms are always exceptional as is the food at the Baleen. Breakfast is our favorite! The beach is never crowded in July and the service on the beach and at the pool is excellent. We feel truly blessed to enjoy our reunion with family in such a luxurious and friendly atmosphere.

I’m not one to leave bad reviews, but after spending a lot of time planning a surprised trip for my now fiancé. I need to share my experience. We recently got engaged and had this trip planned to celebrate. The beach is absolutely amazing, great water view and sand is incredible. They have service where you can order drinks and food, however the drinks are watered down and over priced and food is mediocre at best. We ordered from the one restaurant they have breakfast and it wasn’t good, so we canceled dinner reservations and went into town instead. On coming home we went to watch sunset on balcony and the door locked behind us, trapping us on it for over an hour and half. We tried calling the front desk countlessly, even had parents trying to reach them. We resorted to calling Naples police department for them to inform the hotel we are stuck. That night the front desk receptionist was unapologetic about the situation, and in the morning they did give us a small credit but the bigger issue is what would of happened had we not had our phones? But how does no one answer the phone for an hour? Once we finally were released we decided to stay in and watch tv but the steaming service didn’t work. The entire staff didn’t have the best customer service experience. I know times are hectic but I expected more, especially giving the occasion and the money spent. The waiter at the tiki bar was rude to us and our guest we had over for a drink. The cabanas are nice and relaxing but service was inconsistent throughout the day. I recommend just going to beach or taking a free chair by pool: Loved what Naples had to offer but our stay came up short.

This is a beautiful boutique resort right on the water. The staff was so courteous, welcoming and friendly, the gentleman who checked us out at the front desk, Wenderson, was very polite and made us feel like valued guests. We had breakfast at the dining room, the Baleen, and it was an excellent experience from the food which was delicious to our wonderful server, I believe her name was Nidya, who was so welcoming and attentive, she’s a real asset to the resort. Definitely looking forward to returning for another stay.

Very nice hotel (ocean view room is a must). Beach is amazing, restaurant is fantastic! We did experience some bumps but rest assured management will make it right. Special thanks to Cornell Bunting and Front Office Manager Chris Pasalodos both are truly committed to providing excellent customer service. Highly recommend staying here.

An absolute wonderful place to vacation with your family! My second time and I look forward to another! It's a beautiful place and the service was great. I had only one negative encounter and the management jumped on it and I never had another issue. Pools are gorgeous and we had a wonderful experience with the All Water Excursion located on property renting wave runners. Overall great experience!!

This is a very nice beachfront resort. The ocean views are spectacular. Very nice pools, Tiki bar, restaurant, etc. Everything comes at a pretty steep price though. Be prepared to shell out top dollar for everything including drinks and meals. One of the 2 elevators was broken during our stay, which was very inconvenient. The working elevator was noisy enough to hear from the room at night. Most of their staff was polite and helpful.

Absolutely the best vacation location ever. Beach service was awesome and food was great. Rooms were awesome..I slept like a queen. I just recommend them changing the rugs in the rooms..they are a bit dull compared to the contrast color and design in the room. I also recommend them have housekeeping clean the shower grout more often because it came rt off when I wiped down my shower....also if you are particular about finances.. make sure you check your final bill as you may have a small fee from usage of an in room item that you did not use and if so call them and they will refund you. We had 7 rooms for a family vacation and had a great time and the Baleen restaurant located onsite was amazing.

We’ve stayed here before for a baby moon in the Bay Tower. This time, a year and some later, we came back with our daughter and stayed in the Beach Tower. The walls are pretty thin and you can hear word-for-word the conversations next door. There was also mold on the walls and in the corners of the shower, which I feel could easily be solved with some bleach or even some vinegar. We ordered room service breakfast around 10:00, which I told them they didn’t have to come in because our daughter was napping. They decided to call the room to retrieve the food tray at 12:00, which woke my daughter up. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere where they called to ask if they could retrieve the food tray (we didn’t order too much…it was just the tray and about three plates). Typically at other places, we can just leave it in the hall and they’ll retrieve it later. I’d at least think they’d give more time before needing it back. Nice place, right on the beach, but not necessarily as “luxurious” as some other places we’ve stayed.

My husband and I came to visit his cousin and wife who were guests at your hotel. We loved everything! The valets were very welcoming, lunch outside was excellent and the private beach was unforgettable! Thank you for a perfect day ❤️

My girlfriend and i went to Naples this past weekend and stayed at LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort. The trip was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I made our hotel reservation and spoke with Manager, Chris to checking in to the hotel with friendly and accommodating staff member, Zach, everything was great. The staff went above and beyond to make sure all was perfect for our weekend getaway. I suggest a room on the Gulf, as we got to enjoy the most picture perfect sunsets. Also perfect was the beach staff and the restaurant. Food was amazing (Blackened Grouper Special) and our waiter did not miss a beat. Although the hotel is pricey, it was worth every penny. Will 100% go back and a quick trip. Well done LaPlaya, Well Done. Dean Grossman

What a wonderful resort! The first thing I need to mention is the impeccable service from the ENTIRE staff. Everyone from the front desk to the pool and beach attendants go above and beyond to make sure your stay is exceptional. Our room, a Junior Suite across the street from the main property was gorgeous and spacious. The well appointed balcony had an incredible view of the beach and sunset. And the funny part is that they called this perfect Ocean View room a "resort view" (see the photos below from our balcony for what I am talking about). I could not recommend this place more highly and my wife and I are looking forward to staying here again.

We stayed at LaPlaya four nights. The rooms and staff were awesome. We stayed in the ground floor - beach access. Staff were very attentive, courteous and friendly. The beach was exactly what we expected and the resort location is close enough to take Ubers about $20 a trip (downtown Naples). Also quite a bit to do with my son (10)…. Boat tours, Zoo, Paragon Theaters, 3rd Street, Depot Museum, Pier, Water Park. I would stay again for the location, service and quality of rooms. The improvements needed here are related to food. The quality, selection and prices are completely out of sync and were really disappointing. I would recommend finding different options around town and avoid completely until they make significant changes.
