Mel’s was great. We had their American Idol meal. An outstanding amount of food for the price point. Came with a milkshake, fries, onion rings, and a double cheeseburger with all the fixings!! The service was amazing, our server was incredibly friendly and quick! We will certainly be coming back! Check them out if you’re in the area!

I'd heard about Mel's for months, finally made it in. Twice now I've had their "All You Can Eat Fish Fry" because its so darn good that I can't stop ordering it. They use some unique bredding/technique that is so good that it tastes almost as good to me as my most favorite seafood dishes, which is outstanding when you compare their $11.00 dinner to my $25 p pd favorites. Very refreshing, especially in todays climate. The ambiance is casual and well-kept. The service is quick, crisp, and attentive. Their menu is diverse, and the food is tops- the table next to mine had a gorgeous Marbled-Rye Reuben that had to be at least 4 inches thick. I am 50 yrs old and Ive never seen anything close to that in a Reuben. That one is next on my list :) 125% worth the visit.

Happened upon this diner by accident and was very pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away on a busy Sunday morning. The portions were large, the food was tasty, and the service was efficient and friendly. The biscuits and sausage gravy were especially good, as were the hash browns. I'll return to Mel's Diner without hesitation on my next trip to Naples.

Nice place, friendly staff and good food. Great location. Plenty of parking. The place could use a face lift. Prices are reasonable.

The friendliest place that we have ate at in a week. The staff was welcoming from the start. As if they know we can spend our dinning dollars anywhere and they want us to spend those dollars at Mel's. The food matched the service. The gentle giant running the grill equally friendly and spun out some terrific breakfast. It will our First meal next we're in Naples FLA.

This was my first time dining at Mel's Diner and it was a wonderful first experience. We were greeted and sat immediately at a booth. The atmosphere in this place is what you would expect in a Diner, lots of Memorabilia of the years gone by, also casual, friendly, clean, and inviting. Our server was excellent, he took care of us and answered all of our questions, and made sure we had full drinks and that we were enjoying our food. The menu has lots of food available to order and the prices, not what you normally see in Naples, FL. There are enough reasonably priced choices available. The Saturday lunch special is chicken fried steak with white gravy, mashed potatoes and veggies for $9.99. That's a great deal and it filled up the entire plate. You can get a double patty cheeseburger with onion rings, fries, and a shake for $14.99. I only rated the food 4 stars because my burger was a bit plain. I don't know how to explain it but it just tasted plain to me but it was still good and I ate it all up. I like my burgers to be seasoned more, I guess. The onion rings did not disappoint. I love beer battered onion rings and these were perfect. The chocolate milkshake was delish, as well. The chicken fried steak special was delicious as was the chicken alredo pasta. If you are looking for a great meal for a great price in a casual fining atmosphere, check out Mel's Diner.

Grilled Cheese was FABULOUS & I will return for it. My Mel's Diner Experience: The Novel I sent my hubby to pick up our order because I was feeling under the weather, he ordered a pot roast diner with a chicken noodle soup side and I ordered the grilled cheese with chicken noodle soup. When he was given the order it didn't "feel" right so he checked it when he got to the car, it was a club sandwich and fries...wrong. Went back inside, explained the order was wrong and repeated our order with me on the phone, I think he was calm compared to...well me haha but again I wasn't feeling well and STARVING. SO cut to NOOW we have the right order, checked in the car again, everything looked good and he headed my way so we could feast. I saw the grilled cheese and my eyes started drooling. I picked up the soup bowl and...I knew then...it was wrong. Opened...and there is was, some cream based chowder NOT CHICKEN NOODLE bs. I was LIVID. I immediately got in the car (hubby was really enjoying the pot roast so I couldn't ask him to go, 5 stars) . When I arrived I explained the situation, the manager said "we're not serving chicken noodle soup today so I don't know how you were able to order it". I responded "I ordered it from your website, it's listed on my receipt and order ticket..?". Manager suggested I keep the soup, receive a refund, or get a salad. Since I had two soups I asked for one refund and one salad. Refund processed, salad received, and I left. Stopped at good'oId Publix and splurged on a pint of chicken noodle soup from the deli and went on with my life... I can't explain exactly how it came about but I just didn't enjoy the feeling the manager gave me that it was my fault because I shouldn't of ordered what was available for me to order. If your not serving something, update your menu online, if your not serving something, calls take out order customers prior to pick up and suggest alternatives. 3 stars for a 5 star FOOD review, negative 2 stars for staff mood. We are all going through it right now, I'm in two types of customer service industries and I manage to slap a smile on my face and except all responsibility for anything wrong even if it doesn't make sense to me. Please try to enjoy what you do, it will benefit us all.

Nice little diner not far from downtown. My Mel-ixacana scrambler was great, and the server was super spunky and personable. Great breakfast spot!

The food was really good but the service was lacking. My server never came and checked on me. Not one time just to take my order and just to pay my bill. I needed more water, He just walked by me and waited on everyone else. That was the only downfall about my experience.

I am impressed. This average looking dinner serves AMAZING food at a nice price. If you are lucky enough you'll get Mrs. Tracy as your server, she's the best. The Greek Island style grouper was just delicious...the combination of tomatoes, olive and spinach will melt anyone's mouth. They also serve grouper in 3 other styles. It came with vegetables and I changed the rice for the sweet potato fries and they were as good as they get. Before the fish a nice chicken soup is served. The Pesto Salmon was also very good. And the kids were happy with a thick cheese burger with sweet potato fries and a grilled chicken with a mashed sweet potato. Desserts were solid. A chocolate ice cream (included in the kids menu), a Creme Brule and a house made key lime pie. Overall a very nice experience!

What’s not to like? The great food? The always friendly and kind service? The reasonable prices? C’mon man.

Fun, retro diner to visit while visiting Naples. A very expansive menu with good diner food. Milkshake was not very cold when served and was mostly whipped cream. Burger was good, fries were average and cole slaw was good. Good key lime pie but not the best ever. $40 for two adults, kid and dessert. Place could use some tlc cleaning.

Was seated, serviced and treated the two of us like kings. EDEN was this entrancing red head waitress. Breakfast was an invigorating experience at Mel's Diner. The coffee and entrées were hot and delicious. I highly recommend this warm feeling ambiance.

Tacky decor in a super old restaurant. But maybe that’s their charm. Both had the fish fry (pollack). Breading was heavy and fish small but cooked well, especially the pieces that came later. Probably not fair to review the diner on their fish fry. But it is on the menu. Not my favorite. But we had an awesome waiter. So attentive. Sorry but he didn’t give his name.

The food was really nice and the service was well. One of the most delicious meal I had in Florida so far. I am missing the food already. The price was reasonable and affordable too!

Very good breakfast! Friendly staff and we sat at the counter for a change of pace and I have to say, the kitchen staff are very calm and organized! I was impressed! The Philly steak Benedict is super delicious! I had it on a homemade biscuit instead of English muffin and I loved it!

My bf and I love it here we come everytime we're down in FL, great food, staff, parking, ambience, very clean, super fair prices. You can't go wrong, I esp love their Naples location (this one). I love the music they play, their milkshakes are amazing and def love reading the interesting collection of unique license plates from all over Ameica ❣ *was here during covid and they were like the ONLY place I saw here in FL that followed the rules to a T, super clean place 👌

As the saying goes..".Best ribs ever"....and it's true.... we always order two baby back dinners ribs, to go... and they are ready in 10 minutes.... they fall off the bone, with great flavor....once only, today, we picked up our two orders of ribs... they must have hired a new cook, as the ribs were tough to pull of the bones and impossible to chew. I still give them 5 stars... I saved the ribs, all of them and will bake them for an hour tomorrow and see if that helps...Mel's diner will always be 99.9 % perfect....

Super nice wait staff and good food. Would rate five stars but the seating (especially the two person booths) is uncomfortable. If you can sit outside where there are normally tables you will have a better experience.
