My wife and I went. It was very good. Very entertaining and educational. I learned so much about the artist. There was plenty to do and see. We spent about 1. 5 hours there. You can go at your own pace. You can buy regular tickets or VIP tickets for a bit more. We bought the VIP tickets which let us see the 3D virtual glass tour for free or you could pay $10 separately. We got a VIP lanyard as well and the VIP ticket let you get either a print or a pin of your choice. We really enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend it. Also, the free parking was a huge plus no meters to feed. I also forgot to mention that you can go earlier than your scheduled time there is plenty of space to walk around and not bother others. Our time stamp was for 11am but we went in at 10:35 which was great because we got out much earlier than I expected.

What a great experience. Learned so much about Can Gogh I was not aware of. The immersion with the narrative and music were great. I would recommend this to anyone, even if you are not a art fan.

The Van Gough Experience was phenomenal. I can't wait for the next exhibit. I have been to the Van Gough Museum in the Netherlands and it was such an incredible place. This exhibit is different as you can really see every stroke of Van Goughs work. I highly recommend this exhibit and ones that follow it.

A MUST SEE. I didn't believe all the hype about this exhibit until I experienced it myself. It was breathtaking...relaxing... invigorating... all kinds of emotions. Money well spent 💛🤎 beautiful gift shop at the end.

A must see exhibition!!! My favorite parts were the last room where you can see the famous paintings of Van Gogh come to live and the virtual reality (additional $5 fee which is worth it) where you feel like you are inside the paintings.

Excellent way to present the life and works of this talented and interesting artist. I learned a lot about him, in a highly engaging way. And I loved how the interactive experience allowed us to go inside his paintings and really feel them using all of our senses. I just wish the tickets were more affordable! Paying almost $150 for a couple to spend one hour at the museum (including VR) is overpriced.

Wow, what an incredible experience!!! The show was extremely well done and visually stunning. The exhibits prior to entering the show were excellent in defining the life and art of Van Gogh. Everything was first rate. A train ride to D.C and a two stop Metro ride from Union Station to the show made it easy to attend. Planning to go again in the near future!

I went here for a yoga class and the instructor was 45 minutes late! The yoga class was okay. The instructor seems like she was putting on a show instead of running a class . They refunded our tickets, which was nice. The actual exhibit is gorgeous, and the gift shop has lots of things that you would want to purchase. Several people seemed to be confused by the parking. The signs stating how to pay were pretty obvious. Even if you did miss the signs, they had a QR code you could scan as you entered the facility to pay for parking as well. I guess the good thing about the yoga teacher being late is it really gave us an opportunity to enjoy the exhibit. I will definitely be bringing people here for the exhibit only.

Beautiful art experience! Really inspiring! If you're an Artist or Art Enthusiast, you must visit them! So many aspects of this immersive experience is just amazing! 👏 😍 They displayed many beautiful paintings by Van Gogh here. We stayed there for 2 hours and 45 minutes. I painted my own version of Starry Nights!

Very cool exhibits. Could have been a very chill visit if not for the crowds. However, I still enjoyed it. You could speed through in about 30 minutes or experience every exhibit fully which could take probably 1 1/2 hours.

Amazing art installation! Great coverage of Van Gogh's life and creativity! Definitely recomend staying in the beautiful full immersion room for at least 30 minutes to see the full experience. The add-on 3D experience was totally worth the extra $5. Parking lot right out front very convenient. Highly recommend this attraction!

I’m a big fan of Van Gogh to start with and I thought I knew a good deal about his art and life but I learned so much more at this exhibit. The gallery is very engaging. It has plenty of “moving parts” to hold even a child’s attention. Also, there are interactive areas where you can be part of the painting. I could go again and again. I actually didn’t think I would be especially interested in the VR experience but it turned out to be the high light of the exhibit. The only thing I didn’t love was having to pay extra for VR. The tickets are already a little pricey so an addition $5 seemed unnecessary but still if you go, do the Virtual Reality. You’ll thank me later.

Wow, what an amazing experience. I would recommend this to any one. Especially those that are art fanatics. The exhibit starts with history about Van Goghs life, his works of art, where his inspiration came from, and his tortured history with mental illness and epilepsy. I learned so much about the is famous artist. Then the immersive experience was art itself. Whoever created this digital show of Van Goghs major works of art did a fabulous job. The time and effort that went in to making his art and words come to life. The tickets are about $50 for adults and $37 for military. I didn’t really appreciate the $5 per ticket processing fee from “Fever” the company that sells the tickets nor the VR costing an additional $5 rather than being included. Otherwise I thought it was worth the price. Parking is free for 2 hours as they validate. Highly recommend trying this out, it is a unique experience.

The immersion was excellent. I so appreciated learning more personally about Van Gogh and his artwork. The exhibit was beautifully done using modern technology to allow a wider audience to experience the art of this brilliant artist. My hope is that the exhibit will also help diminish the stigma that still exits around mental illness.

I absolutely loved this experience. This was my first time attending any type of art show and I was so impressed. I think the presentation was beyond perfect. It is not boring and keeps you intrigued with every step. It was interactive and really made me appreciate the art in a new way. I highly recommend seeing this for yourself. I also highly recommend the VR experience it is an extra $5 I believe and worth every penny. I do not want to spoil it but if you want to see Van Gogh's vision in a whole new way, do it! You are allowed to take non flash photographs throughout the whole place. My number one recommendation is when you get to the projection room find a spot on the ground, lay down and soak it all up. The whole experience is short so I recommend staying in that room as long as you can until it restarts. It takes a little less than an hour for it to recycle. It is worth watching it all! Overall an incredible experience, thank you.

Amazing experience! I loved how well it was set up and the whole atmosphere. My husband bought the tickets because I was the one who wanted to go, but he end up enjoying it too. I advise people to buy the VR tickets or the VIP since that's the last part of the experience and it's really nice!

Room with all-around projection and paintings turned into movies was impressive, virtual reality also very good. Rest was okay. They 'built' some of the paintings so that you can have your picture taken sitting/standing in the painting.

What an awesome experience! Got to know the life of the artist through his painting, the 360 digital certainly make you feel immersed in all masterpieces displayed. The Starry Night is one of my favorite pieces. Being able to create my own Van Gogh masterpiece and putting it on display was a very cool add on to the experience. Having to pay an extra 5 bucks for the VR put the icing on the cake. Organizers did a fantastic job putting this together.

The whole experience was amazing. The history and paintings gave me a deeper understanding behind the art. The immersion room really brought the works to life. And the VR was vary cutting edge. I highly recommend this exhibit to everyone.

This was incredibly fun!! We got to learn about Van Gogh and his history as well as admire numerous works of his art. It was so much fun and I can’t wait to take my family next time!

A must-do! Read about his life, look at his paintings and feel what he felt. He painted his eyes with such sadness, a longing. Take your time. The downside, the constant smell of marijuana on people who worked there.

Our family took the metro in and it was super easy to get to the exhibit from the metro stop. A 10 minute walk at most and not through any sketchy areas. If you drive and take someone who has trouble getting around the nice thing is the parking lot for the Van Gogh Experience is right by the door to get in, couldn’t get any closer. This would be very accessible for those who need it. Lots of wide open spaces and benches spread through the exhibit. We really loved the experience! I’m an artist myself and had set my standards low just in case but was pleasantly surprised. The information presented was very detailed and the digital projections spread throughout the exhibit kept it so none of them were every crowded with people. The final room with a 360 degree view was amazing with many seating options.

Beautiful. Personallyyyyy.. not $50 worth- HOWEVER, beautiful experience. Super cute date night; I could have stayed for hours in the main room listening to the music and watching the art change.

Whether you know much or nothing about Van Gogh, this is a fantastic exhibit that chronicles his art and his life. Don't rush through, and take the time to watch the entire video in the 360-degree room. Grab a chair or get comfortable on one of the blankets. I will probably go back at some point when I can spend some time to do the AR tour that I wish I knew about in advance.

I have loved Van Gogh 65 years and have seen his work in Amsterdam Arnhem London. New York and DC National gallery ; but the immersion provided an incredible experience which cannot be replicated anywhere else.

Absolutely worth seeing… Although the paintings obviously are not originals, they did an extremely good job of replicating on the silk screen printing… Loved the written explanations of how van Goghs, life and work evolved… I am a French major, and lived in Paris, and saw several of these paintings in person, so I can say with honesty I appreciated it as much as any museum visit in Paris I did

I thought I knew enough about Van Gogh before, but this exhibit really delved into all aspects of his life and art. Good place to bring kids. The immersion room was spectacular.

Fantastic way to engage kids in the world of art. Magical experience and informative. Learnt loads about his life. Parking on site is a bonus. We hadn’t pre-paid for the VR headsets but we were able to buy for an extra $5 at the end, which we did. We spent about 90 minutes in total - at least half an hour sitting in a deck chair in the interactive room. Expensive when compared to other museums but was definitely a great experience. Was it worth it? Hard to put a price on it. I’d say a bit overpriced, but I would definitely recommend.

The immersive experience is a must-do in DC! The three parts to the exhibition just keeps getting better as you go along. It gives you the feeling of living through Van Gogh’s works. Fascinating and relaxing!

This is a quintessential experience for what Van Gogh portrayed in his artwork. Half the experience is a museum that is covers his entire life. The photo is a recreation of The Bedroom was so creative and tastefully done. The second half was a huge space filled with projectors. It projected animated examples of Van Gogh’s paintings, his influences and his words. It was done incredibly tastefully and so relaxing. People, including children, were respectful and mesmerized by the presentation. It felt borderline spiritual. Highly recommend this for anyone who is interested in him and his artwork, especially as it moves around the country.
