Many centuries have passed since market rights were acquired in the 13th century and there has always been destruction and reconstruction. Today it is a modern-looking hall church, previously with three naves. Now in December with a very worth seeing nativity scene exhibition on sustainability with waste materials such as straw, paper, fabric. The large nativity group in the choir was designed by children from renewable materials such as found wood and old fabrics. A space for reflection and events.

A real place of calm in the sometimes hectic hustle and bustle of the surrounding shopping streets: just come in and enjoy the peace and quiet for a moment. When the sun still shines, the blue glass wall creates a unique atmosphere and the other church windows take on a special aura. The acoustics change with the number of visitors: At my daughter's clarinet rehearsal with just a few listeners there was a nice reverberation, while at the concert everything seemed much more muted!

Beautiful, friendly-looking church building, especially the blue glass wall is great. One of the highlights is the annual exhibition of children's Easter holiday workshops.

Essen choirs took center stage during Advent. It was a contemplative evening, the choirs added to the enjoyment, the atmosphere was good, the songs touched the heart. There was long applause from the many visitors who happily made their way home. Thanks for that.

An attractive church in the center of the city. Appreciate the spiritual offer and the many offers to witness faith. Was there for the ecumenical peace prayer. Minute of silence for Israel and the victims of Hamas' terror.

Recently they were near the church on the occasion of the memorial day - 2 years since the beginning of the all-out war in Ukraine, it is very sad (( usually there are always rallies on this square, at Christmas there is a fair here. It is always very crowded and there are police as McDonald's and Action are nearby))In sunny weather you can drink coffee on the terrace.

Basically, I really like the brand, it's just a shame that the church tower was destroyed in the Second World War, but it is still a landmark of the city of Essen

A small but beautiful church...Especially with the blue light and the scarves on the ceiling or whatever you call them...I've never personally seen it like that...
