The host, Lucien, was horrible, trying to grab every dime out of every possible situation without mentioning it previously. He charged us 350rupees for just one 200ml coffee without mentioning that it cost beforehand which i think is terrible behaviour consifering that i drank around 3 coffees a day and stayed 4 nights. He was overcharging for his tuktuk transport around 2-3 times and we figured that out because we talked to a native and they offered a price three times as cheap. Over all not a great experience what so ever

Me and my Partner stayed at Pepper Cottage for 3 nights. We really enjoyed our stay and the host Lucian is great, super friendly and accommodating. We chose this guesthouse because its close to Kandy (Lucian can drive you in for the day). Kandy is quite a hectic city and we wanted more of a zen accommodation so this was perfect. Lucian also arranged a Tuk Tuk tour of the surrounding Tea Plantations, through the mountains and great views of waterfalls, this was one of our highlights over our 4week visit to Sri Lanka, if you are renting your own tuktuk this would be even better! We had planned to go hiking in the surrounding areas however the rain made this a little tricky. Lucian cooked dinner and breakfast for us which was lovely. The room was large as was the bathroom which is shared however we were the only guests there at the time so had the place to ourselves. The bedding was a bit damp which im not sure if this was due to the wet weather/ventilation or was not properly dry before it was put on the bed. Other than that we had a great stay

This place is heaven on earth. Stunning views, located in the jungle, big garden, lovely village and a monastery (you can hear the monks sing) just next to you :) The house was super clean, beds were comfortable and the meals we got were super delicious (big props to Lushans cooking skills!). Lushan was a lovey host, welcoming, funny and very helpful. We did the knuckles range tour with Wije which was perfect in every way. If you feel like you need a calm and peaceful place in nature, just go here and enjoy.

Heaven on Earth. Great place to relax and get to breathe under coffee trees, avocado tree...enjoy the fresh air, beautiful views and excelent Lucians cuisine. The neighbour is a certified ayurvedic therapist so the massage was excellent. And go for a neighbours dinner..they prepared a real srilanka treat. I would stay a month if possible.

Beautiful and interesting place in the jungle. Host Lucian is very kind and helpful. He took me around and showed me a lot of very interesting places. The room and the whole house is well equipped and clean. The house has a nice garden.

Stayed three nights at the pepper Cottage. The host Lucian is really helpful. He brought us to a nice waterfall (where we could swim), arranged a massage and also a guide for a day hiking at Knuckles Forest.

Place to escape and recharge in simple athmosphere. We stayed for 2 weeks and really enjoyed it. Lucian was very helpful in any aspect. If you are looking for holiday without a rush - this place might suit you well.

Lucian was a great host and made our stay very pleasant. The facilities were great and Lucian's cooking was both authentic & delicious. We were able to do laundry & he arranged a massage therapist to come on site. We had a tour of the property & can see there are lots of extra features (like a meditation garden) coming in the future. Lucian is also keen to see the beginnings of the ayruvedic garden come to fruition. We enjoyed playing cards with him, and he has a great selection of books. We got lost on the way, & a quick call had Lucian coming to our rescue - we were so close!!
