I’m
a
lover
of
fish
and
chips
and
grew
up
eating
it
in
England.
I’ve
searched
for
good
fish
and
chips
all
over
the
world
-
in
the
US,
Australia,
Germany,
Korea,
and
many
other
countries.
Until
now,
I’ve
been
disappointed
every
single
time,
and
I’ve
seen
some
true
abominations
being
served
as
fish
and
chips
in
my
time.
Usually,
you
get
2
or
3
small
pieces
of
fish
-
that’s
a
sure
sign
of
bad
fish
and
chips.
Proper
fish
and
chips
contains
one
big
piece
of
fish.
My
experiences
were
so
bad
that
I
came
to
the
conclusion
that
proper
fish
and
chips
could
not
be
had
outside
of
the
UK,
maybe
with
the
exception
of
Ireland,
although
I
haven’t
tried
it
there
yet.
Well,
my
world
view
has
just
been
turned
on
its
head.
After
having
an
outstanding
seafood
meal
at
The
Lagoon
the
day
before,
one
of
the
other
restaurants
at
the
Cinnamon
Grand,
I
decide
to
be
bold
and
give
the
fish
and
chips
at
Cheers
Pub
a
chance.
Wow!!!!
I
was
blown
away.
As
soon
as
the
plate
came
out
and
I
saw
one
big
piece
of
fish,
I
was
hopeful
that
this
could
be
legit.
Indeed
it
was.
The
batter
was
crispy,
not
greasy,
and
the
fish
beautifully
soft
and
flaky.
I
was
told
that
they
use
Modha
(Barramundi).
It’s
not
your
typical
cod
or
haddock,
but
it
may
even
be
better.
I’m
so
happy
that
I’ve
found
this
place
and
will
be
back
on
my
next
trip
to
Colombo!
