The Kingsbury hotel is one of the best places for a stay for a couple of days. I checked into the hotel to spend my holiday alone with my official works. stay we both were super satisfied with the services they provided us! I must say that the food is gorgeous over there and are served in large portions which is really worth it for money we spent while considering other hotels. The hotel ambiance and cleanliness too were of great quality! Ample parking. Highly recommended! It's located near distance for the beach sound road network also available. Many Governments and nongovernmental organizations are available near distance.

My S/O and I decided to try the Kingsbury buffet due to its hype. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of going on a Saturday. At 7 pm, it wasn't very crowded, but by 8 pm, it had turned into something resembling a fish market. Some stations had long queues, and food was running out rapidly. People had to wait in line for nearly 15 minutes at the dumpling station because if you left and returned, the dumplings would be gone. The overall experience was less enjoyable due to the overbooking and the difficulty of navigating the crowded and noisy space. I understand that it's good for business to accommodate everyone, but they should consider limiting the number of guests to maintain higher standards. The food itself was excellent, but by the end of the night, we weren't sure if we truly enjoyed the experience as it felt more like a night market than a renowned restaurant's buffet. To add to that, water became a luxury because there was no option for regular water available. Instead, they repeatedly offered sparkling water, which added a whopping 2200 to the bill. I believe this information should be disclosed before offering the water. My suggestion would be not to overbook the place and to clarify the cost of water before encouraging that option. The food itself was amazing, but I suppose there are enough reviews highlighting that, so I'm emphasizing this point.

I recently experienced the Harbour Court restaurant. It was nice. The atmosphere was great. It was a sizable menu. The staff was friendly and offered lots of hospitality. I did not notice any good views from the restaurant. Something to improve would be their homemade chocolate. Yes. They could do more work on that. I would recommend this venue to take out your friends and family.

Visited a gathering situated at "The Victorian" which could hold up to 150 guests. Food is good. Mostly depends on the menu that the event organizers would select. The hot butter cuttlefish dish was the star of the dinner buffet. For the desserts, creme Brulee or Creme Caramel (not sure what the dish was exactly) was exquisite.. The Honey beach club has chill vibes. Good place to hangout with friends. Parking is available on the back of the hotel but sometimes it could be filled up if there is an event or a gathering. So better to come early if you are coming for a function because the parking fills up. Staff is attentive and directs you to the place you want to go. A pleasant experience is guaranteed.🙌

The food was amazing. Had a variety of cuisines. This is one of the better hotel experiences I have had with a very friendly staff. The view form the hotel was sublime. I've eaten at the buffet there twice, and neither time was disappointing. Their buffet featured a wide variety of foods, including Indian, Italian, and Japanese cuisines, as well as salads and desserts. There were also multiple live cooking stations at the buffet where you could eat hoppers, noodles, spaghetti, etc. cooked to your specifications. Given the services, the cost wasn't too high. Food is of excellent quality and taste. There is plenty of parking, and the service is excellent. Very highly advised

They have a great selection of restaurants. Chinese is one of the good ones. The buffet is one of the best. Big variety. Lively lobby area. Churros is nice for casual coffee and cakes. Rooftop is nice in the evenings. Friendly staff and service overall.

Visited on the 23rd to experience the lunch buffet with family. We were not dissapointed. There was a huge array to choose from and every morsel was heavenly! Loved the dessert bar! This is one of the best 5 star hotel within the Colombo area. This Hotel has a wonderful banquet hall to accommodate wedding functions or receptions. They have wide variety of food and they are delicious. Highly recommended place to have seafood. 🤘🏽

Nice. Had High tea. They had unlimited refill for savoury platter and one serving for cakes. Food was good. Really enjoyed the time. Was less crowded between 3-5. After 5 it became a little crowded. Worthy for the money spent.

Food is excellent. Breakfast got many options and good too. Many restaurants in the premises as well. Staff is helpful. Its a busy place full of people coming for many functions etc. Mainly Indians and locals. Good car park facility. Situated almost in the city so convenient if you are on a business trip. rooms are bit compact but not uncomfortable.

Their Buffets are excellent and Honey beach is a great place to hang out with friends. Avoid the High tea platter at all costs. Not worth the 3000+ price tag due to poor spread and quantity. The service during the high tea was also poor compared to services in other places. Apart from that one of the top choices for Dinner buffets.

This hotel does not come even close to a 5 stars hotel. Nothing about it is 5 stars. The reception guys were extremely unprofessional. You just feel that they want to scam you in any way. Rooms are poorly designed an equipped. Breakfast buffer is horrible. Location is gloomy besides an industrial area. There are far better hotel options in Colombo, but I was drawn by the comments.

Very good place and service. Entrance staff friendly and serving and reception staff also kind and friendly. But I believe the menu offered for certain workshops can improve. Certain curries carry a lot of spicier and cumin smell and taste. I guess that can be either labelled with the name of the certain flavour etc.

Very good service from check-in to check-out. We were greeted with welcome drinks and were upgraded to an executive suite. Spacious rooms and good amenities. Staff are very welcoming & friendly. Had an amazing stay at Kingsbury. Highly recommended.

When there for Sunday brunch. Place was packed but staff was very efficient. Place adhere to COVID guide lines and you have to were a mask around the buffet. Buffet was really good and had lots of varieties. You can choose from your favorite cuisines. Buffet is open till 3:30 PM If you are going by vehicle, parking is available but it's not in the shade.

We recently went for dinner buffet plus for a celebration to Harbour Court. They were so welcoming at the entrance until we were offered the beverage menu. We didn't order any beverages but asked for warm water. Since then, it was well apparent how the service went down. Food was okay, but the spread was not quite as expected. They had not even replenished the finished items, so we couldn't try all. Salad corner was okay but had only cheddar and Swiss cheese. Italian action station was good. Dessert corner had only a few variety with some assorted chocolates. However, we didn't even get our complimentary cake that we requested at the time of reservation. We were so frustrated with their service so we didn't even bother to ask it. The space was crowded but luckily we had the table towards the corner. Best dinner buffet 'they say', but can't beat the dinner buffet at Central Cafe, Shangri La!

I booked my room 1 day before I arrived and when I arrived they did not have my booking, I booked a triple but I just got only 1 bed for 3 persons had to call reception and get a roll over bed. The toilet did not looked cleaned. I paid cash when I checked in but was not given a receipt and my change for my $dollars- small amount I had to call from my room and ask for a receipt , but it's not a good look for a 5 star hotel. Restaurant was very good for lunch on Easter Sunday-Great buffet.

Beyond Expectations. Had an absolutely fabulous stay. The staff was very friendly and made sure that we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was brilliant and their sky lounge bar give you a super view and super range of beverages.

Tasty foods with nice presentation .. nice staff.. good service ... somedays little bit crowded and there are some lack of services due to that. such as they miss the table arrangements on time with the cutleries.. miss the providing of water and remove the plates on time....etc..

Went for dinner buffet on a Wednesday and it was packed. There food tasted so good and was able understand why it was packed. The spread was good and had great meat options. First we couldn't find the meat section as it was hidden next to the pasta/hoppers work station. Try out the Watalappam ice cream which was the highlight for me.

Reservation is required. I visited here for high tea around 5 with an acquaintance. They accommodated my request for tea at 4 which was very nice. The place was full and it was warm. The air conditioning wasn’t cooling as good. The foods arrived on a 3 tier server and the foods were fresh and delicious. Wish we could pick what we want. Hated to see lobster bits there. Ordered Ceylon tea and nudged 4 waiters and it took over 1/2 hour for it to arrive. Disappointing waiting so so long. Paid about 7000 LKR for 2. Not sure if it was worth it.

Run down Hotel, definitely need a renovation. When I arrived at the Hotel I was waiting to be checked in as the room wasn’t ready and the staff seem not bothered to as I never been offered a welcome drink and I see other people been offered welcome drink found it very rude. Although the restaurants are very good especially the main breakfast buffet and ocean restaurant for seafood. Other than that needs a lot of improvements. Definitely not staying there but will visit the restaurants again.

Went for dinner at the Kingsbury and got to say loved it. Decent spread on the dinner buffet and the food was tasty. Especially loved Indian cuisine. The table I was seated at was a bit wobbly but that wasn't a huge inconvenience. The staff were super friendly. My only suggestion is to work on your Watalappan. The rest were good though. Will recommend and revisit it soon.

Walked into high tea on Mother’s Day. Quite reasonable pricing with over 14 sweet and savory items on platter. Walked into Honey beach club too. Beautiful to sit by the pool and watch the sunset. Staff were friendly and attentive. Had a nice time and would be back sometime soon.

Nothing negative to say about this hotel, food was very nice, staff were decent enough, check in was a bit of a pain due to some hotel problems. We had Xmas buffet dinner here, it was very well done with amazing food. Some issues with getting drinks from the 20+ staff running around serving...in fact this was a problem for our group now I'm thinking about it so I'll adjust the rating accordingly. If you're happy to wait 20+ minutes every time you request a drink, remind them every 15 minutes, then this is the place for you.

My self and my husband was at kings steak bar for a single malt tasting which ended with dinner! the staff was amazing and the food was exceptional! Kavishka who served us was very knowledgeable about the liquor he was serving us and made the experience a very special one. We spoke with Denver who was very happy to answer all our questions and was very knowledgeable as well The staff here was amazing and so accommodating that made us want to spend more time here than we planned to. The steak was one of the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka! Will definitely be back!

It was an great experience overall. The pizza was the highlight of the day and the burger was filled with flavour. The staf needs to be a bit more knowledgeable about things as the person serving us didn't anything when we asked if we can get a chicken burger instead of beef. Also if you can increase the number of servers it will be great as they are not attentive to the guest. Would have given 5 start rating if not for the staff.

Their brunch buffet is Rs.4500 per head and the quantities they serve are so tiny it's enough to feed a bird. So you need to get yourself served at least 10 times more for a full stomach and get your money's worth. Shameful for such a famous hotel.

Excellent in all aspects except of room service staff who seem to be hungry and eat all the nuts and snacks kept in the pantry, and during check out was asked to pay for it. My friend who stayed in another room had the exact same experience. This was in 2013, hope they have solved this issue by now.

We've had some issues here last weekend however, the experience had been positive so, we've come back again. I'm glad we did. It's been fantastic. In particular Kasun who has served us by the pool has been excellent (thank you!). By the way, I HATE sea food but the wife loves it so, I "took one for the team" and went to the sea food restaurant. She loved it! And I've got to say, the lamb chops were excellent.

Seems very bad service when it comes to delivery. We have been a regular customer for a long time (more than 10 orders) but with our last order they have refused to follow our customization instructions (for previous orders they have followed those). They haven't treated in a good manner although I am a regular customer and didn't gave us an opportunity to talk with manager as well. As a result we had to cancel our order although it is late for our lunch time (we have made the order around 11am and they have called and inform us around 2pm). If anyone from management, willing to further investigate this, order number is 110381 on 23rd July

Went to the Kingsbury for their famous Sunday brunch, and while it was still lovely the variety of food has reduced. The employees were very pleasant and atmosphere was relaxing. Two people, one alcoholic drink all came up to about Rs. 9,000 after taxes and service charges

As usual the staff were very good and attentive, all the way from the doorman to the restaurant manager who took care of us. We patronized the Chinese Restaurant. The food was found to be better at the previous occasion I had visited for some reason than this time. However, this does not mean the food was bad, but was just better the last time. May be due to the current situation in the country, there would have been some problem. I would like to see some improvement to the menu, especially in the dumpling front where there can be a bigger choice. The seafood also can have a better choice. Felt that the choices were limited. As there is no valet parking, found it a bit inconvenient but then again it is for the safety of everyone. May be its just me being fussy. Whichever way, the hotel remains as one of my favorites and the Chinese restaurant remains as one of the best in Colombo. I will certainly return when I have the urge for Chinese food again.

Wow, great service at food delivery by the restaurant. I made a mistake when ordering the meal for a family in Sri Lanka. I am living overseas and I was expecting the worst. Naomi on the phone fixed it right away and got it delivered to the address I wanted. Well deserved 5 stars!

Tried out Indian from the Kingsbury for the first time, got a home delivery. The portion sizes are pretty good, can easily feed 4 people for at least 2 meals (but we’re not big eaters). Have to say I’m slightly disappointed with the taste because overall there weren’t any strong flavors (as one would expect from this cuisine), everything just kind of melded together. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t exceptional

Had so much of fun in this restaurant. The harbour court was superb with its dinner cuisines. We had lot of food varieties of various asian countries. So much of food to taste. Once you book for a head you can choose any food in any quantity to taste it.

Visited Kingbury with the family. Had a very lovely time with amazing view. Delicious food. very efficient service. .Rooms were good and had all facilities there. During our stay we used their spa services. I highly recommend treatments, as she did an amazing job and payed very good attention. Got a foot reflexology treatment from her and felt very relaxed . enjoyed our stay.

Very nice food with variety of options. Service is exceptional, actually their service is belongs to 5 star. However, the food wasn't great as what it was. But this is the problem with almost every hotel after the Covid. So we can give them a chance. Over all, a great place for fine dining!

Tried the High Tea Platter yesterday. The ambience was a 10/10. The service was a 9/10. The food though, was very underwhelming. For the price you pay, the quantity is pretty small. Some of the savouries were kinda bland and dry. The desserts were awesome though! They all tasted great we were able to go serve seconds. I'd rather recommend the All you can eat High Tea Buffet at Waters Edge on weekends

We ordered our Christmas lunch from kingsbury today and my order number was 227223. The food was very dry and bland. The portion size was good but we are really disappointed with the taste. We expected much more than this from you. Hope you look into this matter.

We stayed here for one night. The hotel is centrally located in the Forth area very close to the Dutch Hospital (cafes and restaurants). But service of the hotel is not that good. It's a wedding hotel so if you are on the pool side may God give you strength to sleep.

Stayed here one night with my partner. Overall comfortable experience and very helpful staff. If you want to use the spa make sure to ring ahead so they heat up the sauna and steam room. Pool was nice but currently over looking building site. The pool side could have also been cleaned up from the night before (was some trash).

There was delay in bringing the luggage to the room 40 minutes and at first it was even forgotten. There is no soundproofing at all we kept hearing loud music coming from the concert hall 2 floor above that was annoying preventing us from sleep. Otherwise the room was beautiful and the staff were helpful

It was a great experience. Friendly staff. Tasty foods. Their buffet was very good, tummy filling and the taste was on point. I love newly made buffet interior with all live food stations. It is so attractive and authentic. One of largest buffets I saw in Sri Lanka with huge variety. For the value that was spend it was worthy and the staff were very attentive when needed. You must try at least once in you lifetime, this great food experience. Ultimately satisficed on the overall experience. Will be visiting again for sure.

This was the 3rd time we had food delivered and as always it was great tasting food delivered on time safely. Even greater than that was their willingness to immediately address even a small issue with my last order. Will be ordering again soon for sure.

Went to honey beach club, a bar and restaurant. Drinks were good and snacks were fine. The pizzas were pretty good. Pretty pricey but there’s a happy hour, the staff were fine but getting a waiter is pretty hard ( as usual in these kind of places). Would go again soon for a few drinks but maybe head out somewhere else for dinner.

Marvellous place. Just next to Port City. View is terrific. Port City as well as Beach View from Room itself. We stayed in Suite here. Room Services and Food Quality is seriously of 5 star. Chicken Sandwich is recommended. Sky Lounge experience was awesome. ❤

I had a wonderful time at Kingsbury hotel . We had a party arrangement at the hotel on the 30 of October 2021 . The event was a fully successful and all the invites was happy. My heart full thanks goes to Mr Shane , Ms Iromi , Mr Cabral and all the staff . The food was amazing. I stayed overnight at the hotel and my family enjoyed it.
