Ports of Call is an one of Taj Samudra restaurants . Indian touch is everywhere. Very friendly staff . Mostly covers Indian menus. Enjoying a dinner buffet .

One of the main restaurants in Taj Samudra Hotel Colombo. Famous for its lunch and dinner buffets. All though the price of LKR 2900/- for the weekday lunch buffet was low compared to many other hotels in that area the variety was not there at all. Although they say that it's an international buffet the main course was very poor and only the basic cuisines were there. It's certainly not something you would expect from a 5-star hotel. The Sunday buffet is much pricier but seems like it too lacks the variety and options to choose.

One of the only hotels that have a buffet on a week night (Tuesday). Cost 3200/- Not a huge spread but what they had was very nice. Perhaps some items a tad too salty. The prawn biriyani was super, the various fish preparations, excellent. The salad bar had some nice smoked salmon, and other stuff. Yummy breads. Desserts as with most hotels were disappointing, but six flavors of ice cream makes makes up for that! The staff are attentive and friendly.

Had some variety on lunch buffet but it's not the way we expected, food is good, service is good. Good atmosphere to be.

We went for lunch to the Port of Call restaurant at Taj Samudra and it was a nice experience. The food was so delicious. They have very friendly staff too. Overall the place is very attractive !!

We went there for a lunch in the weekend. The place isn't that crowded. The ambience is very good. We were able to get a table for 12 people. Lovely view next to the pool. The buffet spread was good. Must try the Indian chicken dishes. They were yummy. The dessert section was wide and scrumptious too. Pizzas were ok. They have a good soread of breads. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking available at Taj Samdra premises.

Went there a while back, ports of call is one of the main restaurants of taj samudra. The buffet had a nice spread and the food was exceptional with plenty of options, both western and eastern. We definitely enjoyed our experience.

We went for dinner to the POC resturant @ Taj Samudra and it was a marvelous experience. The food was so delicious and very fresh. The dessert were splendid! Not to forget, they have the tastiest magaritas and mojitos in town. Its very affordable and so worth it. The experience was full of quality and the service offered was the best. Mr. Chaminda gave us a great service. He made sure we enjoyed the evening to the fullest. He never forgot to check up on us throughout the evening. He is very friendly and offered us the maximum service. He made sure all our needs are met in an instant. Mr. Amila, the bartender was really friendly and very professional. He offered us the best service and he made sure our beverages were given to us without delay. He made the best magaritas and the best mojitos. We enjoyed his drinks very much. Overall the place is very clean and very attractive. We want to thank the whole POC team for offering us the best service. We will surely visit again. Thank you again!

Went for a business lunch on a week day and they didn't meet the expectations. Nothing tasted bad per say but nothing tasted great either so yeah. Guess it's different on weekends but can't recommend the week day buffet to be honest.

After the hunt for the best buffet in colombo city, I've come to the conclusion that ports of call is the ultimate winner. Amazing buffet with super friendly staff. The food was authentic and yummy. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Great foods, lots of varieties to choose from. Plenty of parking space. Enjoy!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a renowned Taj hotel, and the overall experience was truly delightful. From the moment I entered the elegant dining area, the atmosphere exuded sophistication and charm. Without a doubt, this dining experience at the five-star hotel exceeded my expectations in every aspect, making it a memorable and highly recommended choice for anyone seeking a top-notch culinary adventure.

I just want to thank the team, especially chef Thilanga and lead steward Athauda, for their positivity and enthusiasm in helping make sure my foreign friends' very first Sri Lankan meal had some of the best classic and authentic Sri Lankan dishes (all of us are vegetarian). Great job, really appreciate all of your effort. The hoppers were fresh and crisp, the strong hoppers were light, and the curries were perfect

Went for dinner with my family. It is a buffet. Pleasant atmosphere. Very nice service. I was the only non vegetarian. All others were strict vegetarians. There were many vegetarian dishes and they were all happy. I was ecstatic because the food was out of the world. I will come again when I am in Colombo next. I will highly recommend this restaurant for singles, couples and families with children.

One of the top places around CMB to go chill out with GREAT food! Ngl their pizza was the win win! Great service by Chef Trishan and Mr. Nilanka!

Went for dinner on Christmas eve and had an amazing time with my family. The food was delicious with a lot of variety and the staff was very helpful. Overall the restaurant was very attractive and we will visit again!

Nana was not much fresh.black chicken curry was too spicy & only few pieces.rest of all was not bad..

It was a really good buffet and everything we had was delicious 😋. Loved our first experience at Ports of Call. I would recommend Ports of Call to anyone. The staff was also very kind and helpful. Loved the food, staff and place which made our night very special.

We went for their dinner buffet on 23.04.12 and the experience was great! This was our second time and we really liked the food and its variety. The food was delicious. They had good variety of seafood as well as meats like lamb, mutton and beef. But the highlight of the day for me was their friendly service which really made our experience wonderful! We would definitely visit here again!!!

Came for lamprais, but unfortunately wasn’t available that day. However, the Restaurant Manager assured us that he would follow up to ensure it makes it onto the menu. Kept in touch and while we weren’t able to eat there before leaving Colombo, the level of service to make things right made a really positive impression. I look forward to visiting on my next visit to Colombo.

Not recommending this buffet to anybody! Buffet price is Rs. 3,750 and there aren't more than 20 varieties to select. Not sure why this place called a 5 star hotel. Came here for our anniversary and went out very disappointed. This is the worst buffet I have ever visited. Sunday Dinner buffets at other hotels are expected to be WOW in any hotel in this area. But No Sea Food area. No BBQ. Not even a fried rice. Again! Do not recommend this buffet! Highly Disspointed! 👎 (Check the uploadrd image. That's their main course of buffey)
