I arrived at 2.35, well after check-in time, and was told to wait ten minutes because my room wasn't ready. In the end I waited forty minutes for my room to be ready. I wouldn't have minded so much if I had received any apology, but they didn't apologise once, not even a single time, and acted as if it wasn't their fault because the previous occupant had checked out late. The room had no windows, and is poorly maintained.The bathrooms were disgusting, the soap wasn't refilled, the shower gave only cold water. I didn't even go for breakfast because the hygiene standard was so low. The bathroom doors didn't lock properly. The door of the room was jammed and needed strong force to open and close. I wasn't expecting luxury for the price, but with so many good value for money options in Colombo, this hotel should be avoided. The only good thing is the location.

The room was clean (6 bed room) and the toilets are pretty fine. But I could not sleep between 22:00h and 02:00h because some men (I dont know if it was the staff or guests) were SCREAMING next to my room/ corridor and singing. As I contacted the hotel number and FB, they would scream even more. It took more that 3H for the hotel to respond (I was alone and did not want to talk to them myself) If you want to have a nice rest, make sure to talk to the manager!

Very dirty, hair and dust everywhere, room smells like a mould, not fresh bed sheets. Breakfast food is cold and looks like hostel uses cooked eggs and sausages from the previous day. Do not recommend, never seen such a disgusting hostel.

Superb location right in the thick of things in the Fort area. Restaurants and bars literally on their doorstep. Basic spotless clean budget hotel with common bathrooms which are plentiful on each floor. Nice common room with tables and chairs and also a nice rooftop sitting area. Excellent WiFi.

I stayed in the female dorms. The room was big, 2 AC, lockers. One thing- there are no curtains for the beds. The staff was nice. My laundry came back still wet. Location is good, close to some restaurants and bars and also to the train station.

Our flight arrived at 1:30am and they let us check in without any issues. Overall the place wasn't bad. Shared showers and toilets were very clean. It was my wife and son staying in a very small private 3 bed room. One major issue I had was that we arrived very late to the hostel 3am. Around 10am, when we were sleeping, a worker unlocked our door and opened it to ask if we were going to have breakfast. He didn't even knock. Imagine my shock. I was none too pleased about that. The breakfast was simple but did the job. They did accommodate storing our bags while we went out.

2 Bunk Beds in 1 Room. 4 Peoples can stay. No Elevator. 4 Floors. Shared Washrooms.. It's like hostal. no parking area. Clean area. No Early Checkin or Late Checkout Features

Had a chaotic day of traveling and I was quite grumpy when arrived here for check-in. The staff were so kind, caring and sincere, it changed my whole day around! The amenities and location are superb as well. But it does seem a bit noisy at night due to surrounding bars. Might only be on weekends.

Loved our stay here. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the rooms/ bathrooms were kept clean and in good condition. Breakfast was included :)

Comfortable enough for a good night's sleep, bed was very comfy. Warm shower is there, just takes a while to come through.

Good hotel. Polite staff. but very disappointed breakfast . on the first day 3 toasts with butter and jam and a fried egg. on the second day they said that even the eggs run out. no coffee either. the room is not cleaned. No windows too.

We spent 1 night here. Visa office is 1 hour away by tuk tuk. This hostel is just 10 mins away from Colombo fort station. There are really nice restaurants behind it if you wish to splurge. We were on budget so we had our dinner at Torena Cafe which is 1 min away by foot. The staff is really nice. We were given welcome drinks on arrival. As the previous reviews mention, there is definitely a humid smell, but it went away once we started using the room. Bathroom was really good and clean. We also had complementary breakfast the next morning which was nice. There was bread, butter, jam, tea, coffee, vegetable noodles, lentil curry, scrambled eggs, chicken sausage and papaya. Everything was nice.

Very helpful staff small and very simple rooms.

This is a hostel, but also has private rooms for 70USD. It makes travelling really fun when you find like minded people sharing the place you stay in. Just next to hostel is a bar/pub (really great experience there too). They provide with air-conditioning in rooms, towels and soap and shampoo and all that stuff people tend to forget on short trips. Top notch hospitality for their new guests, from the receptionist, to the managers and even the security staff! There is a money exchange nearby, however rates are not good. Places to eat: didn't try many but one of the nearby restaurants, it's decent.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and very helpful staff. Air conditioning in the rooms much appreciated. Breakfast which was nice also. Lots of nearby bars/restaurants in the Dutch Hospital. Only issue we had was thin walls with noisy neighbours on the first night, but slept well the second with no interruptions.

Only there for 1 night (Saturday) and we had absolute no sleep because of the bar/club in front of the place that played loud music with open doors till the morning. We appreciated the welcome drinks and the breakfast (even though not many options for vegetarians). They didn't book us train tickets saying it was fully booked and when we contacted a different agency, they managed to book seats without any problem so that was disappointing...

Very nice location, friendly and helpful staff who let me and my baby check in the morning, several hours earlier than planned. Good breakfasts. Clean room and common areas. Worth the money!

Decent Hostel but a big WARNING - this property has 4 floors and has NO ELEVATORS. That was the worst part for me. The washrooms and showers are just okay, they could make them better. The breakfast is good, you can have a good meal before you leave for the day. Location is wonderful

Amazing place to stay, rooms are neat and clean. Easy to access as it is in city centre. Friendly staff. Free Breakfast served between 7-10am in restaurant. A well maintained Hostel or Hotel. Well deserves to be rated as a 2 star category hotel.

We used the room for transit only. It was adequate for that purpose. As soon as we arrived the host offered us a cold towel and welcome drink. Was a very nice touch for the hot Colombo weather. Location is great. Lot of dinner options nearby. Room had an AC as well. There was Hot water even in the evening for a bath. Lighting in the room was a little dim. No Lift.

Minimal facilities in the room but it’s enough for a quick nights stay. Easy to get around from the hotel and there are quite a few bars and restaurants nearby
