Java lounge is one of my favorite coffee shop around the Colombo. Very good coffee and cakes. Staff is always on point and friendly.

Cozy cafe ideal for a coffee in the evening. They have best coffee you can find in Fort dutch hospital shopping precinct. Additionally they have a variety of food items ranging from a delicious variety of cakes and cookies to spicy snacks served fresh. They death by chocolate cake is a die for. So is their cheesecakes. Service is bit slow but the food is definitely worth the wait.

Many Java lounge cafes in Colombo offer a pleasant experience, with favorable ambiance and delicate food. However, yesterday visit the Java lounge fort cafe was evoking a sense of unwelcomeness. We went there for dinner and get some work done. Regrettably, the available Wi-Fi was restricted to a mere 30 minutes, a duration exceeded by the time taken to fulfill the order. There are discrepancies between the google and actual closing time. While Google indicated a closing time of 12:00 AM, a server informed us that the cafe closed at 11:30 PM. They started clearing somewhere around 9:50 PM, making it uncomfortable to stay. The overpowering scent of floor cleaning products ruins the atmosphere, notably they started this while there were some foreign customers having dinner. I’m sure they can do a better service than this.

Cold latte was very good and I enjoyed club sandwiches as well. Brownie cake wasn't fresh though, so it spoiled the mood a bit. Staff is very attentive and helpful, bit prices are higher than I expected. All in all it's a nice coffee shop not far from Colombo railway station.

Java Lounge is one of the best places to visit if you’re a coffee lover. You cannot miss this beautiful cozy corner.. I personally loved the cappuccino with the chocolate flavour even though I don’t like chocolate. This coffee was mind blowing! You can go there with your friends or even by yourself (most probably a good book would do or your smart phone) 😉

Located just behind the Dutch Hospital , this is a perfect place to chill over some good coffee. There is seating outside and indoor as well. We opted for some caramel macchiato and some hot chocolate which were delicious. The Christmas decor added to the warmth of the place.

Atmosphere is amazing. Great place to work quietly while enjoying a cup of Cappuccino. One of a very few places in Sri Lanka serving Star Bucks beverages. Reminds of being back home in Canada :).

Good food and service, not a lot of options were available for dinner but the chicken sandwich and lasagna were tasty and adequate. Service was fairly quick. Place was clean and cozy with very comfy sofas. Ideal place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner for reasonable prices.

This cafe was in the same complex as our hotel. According to the timings on their door,its open till 11 pm . So we decided to go on our first day at 9.30pm. It was already closed. So next day we decided to go early at around 8 pm. We ordered for a latte. It tasted like the coffee we make in our hotel rooms. Completely bland. By 9pm they informed us we r closing so time to leave. Ambiance is decent. Thats about it. Coffee is expensive for the quantity and quality served.

I recently visited Java Restaurant in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and I was very impressed. The restaurant is located in a beautiful setting, and the atmosphere is very relaxed and inviting. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. I had the breakfast butter croissant. The bun was soft and fluffy, and the filling was delicious. I also had a glass of coffee, which was rich and flavorful. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Java Restaurant, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to start their day.

Another awesome java lounge outlet in Colombo dutch hospital area. A best place to hangout and sip a perfect coffee while enjoying their food items. However,the kochchi pizza was not much tasty. Prices are bit high, but its worth considering all the facilities and good time one can experience.

Good place to have a quick bite when you are in the Fort. Prices are a bit higher but tasty. Service is also excellent. There is no parking at all.

Food is below average. Some premade dishes warmed up to order, and portions are not particularly big. Tea is brewed in water that is not hot enough and turns out not flavory enough. Seats and tables are comfortable and some have electrical plugs. Wifi requires a voucher which I didn't see in my bill, it might be a paid service.

Nice cafe, along the same lines as their big brother Starbucks. Good cappuccino, very nice ice coffee. The spinach quiche was very good, and the croissant would probably have been great if it hadn't been heated in the microwave, such a shame. Staff is very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I've been here a couple of times, and will come back.

One of the best place for some type of a cool beverages as well as hot drinks. They also serve several types of foods specially sweets. Well placed inside the Dutch hospital area. Highly recommend this cool beverage- Brownie Frap. You will feel heaven. Prices are reasonable and you wont regret it. Specially got to tell you that the place is so comfortable you to spend few minutes on those couches and chairs hahaha. And so their service is bit faster than I expected.

juicy lasagna has left my stomachs' space so I bought a croissant-cheese sandwich which was the last one in the chilled showcase at 480Rs . Served hot, was also very good. Next time I'll try cakes, they are smiling at me in the show case.

This cute little cafe has been my go to place for years whenever I needed a quiet & chilled place to do my work outside home/office and recently a place to avoid powercuts! I enjoy taking a stroll here from the fort station. Fort Java Lounge is a good spot for a coffee date too. Good coffee, good food and steady wifi for a reasonable price. Friendly and accommodating staff but service gets slow during rush hours. As a pescatarian I wish there were more fresh lunch options on the menu. Oh and if u too tend to get cold easily take a jacket!

Jawa Lounge is a chain of coffee shops in Sri Lanka with “around five 5 branches" (around?!), according to their website. I dropped in at their Fort shop in Hospital Street two days ago for a cappuccino. The shop has a cozy interior with a charming, intimate ambience. A great place to a sip a coffee while conversing with your friends or family or just staring at passers by in the street through the glass front of the shop! If you are alone and have some time to kill, this is an ideal place to read a book or browse the net on your phone in peace and quiet because the place never seems to be crowded. Their menu features a variety of beverages, their speciality being, of course, coffee. They also have a snacks counter serving a selection of savouries and sweets. The prices seemed to be a little on the high side. I ordered a chocalate muffin followed by a cappuccino. They claim that they serve "world's best coffee." Well, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, because, while their coffee is alright, it is debatable whether their coffee is superior to coffee served in any other coffee shop of the same class, at least judging by the cappuccino I drank. The staff are friendly and courteous Anyway, if you are in the Fort area and looking for a place to chill while sipping a coffee, you should consider Jawa Lounge.

Have been here quite a few times. Easily accessible via hospital street right next to the Fairway Hotel. Fresh food but compared to other coffee houses more expensive. Free WiFi. Perfect for a business meeting. Can call and check seating availability before coming. Staff is quite friendly and helpful.

Syrups they use in coffee are good Waffles are tasty Tea - it's just a teabag for the double price of the pack of tea Pasta and other dishes we tried are meh

A good locate to spend some quality time alone or with your loved ones. I usually come to this place for a coffee and they serve with amazing coffee and Kavin and the rest of the crew's friendly service makes this atmosphere much more great. Great place to have good food guaranteed.

Well this part of the city is not far from my residence and so I visit this corner of Java quite often. I must say this is one of the prominent branch of Java. The show at the window side is great and exquisite! The service is indeed swift and neat. The welcoming of the staff is a must say added value. And Mr.Kavin’s notion of hospitality is noteworthy as much as of the other staffs. Keep serving the nation! Best wishes!!!

I stayed for several days in the Fairway hotel to which the Java Lounge is attached. Spent about four to six (I lost track and yeah, I probably don’t have a life) hours each day, wired as all heck from copious amounts of coffee. In fact, I’m sitting in the Lounge as I write. The coffee is superb. It made the best of Starbucks taste like sludge. What I love best about the Lounge is the outside seating. It is a haven in the sweltering heat of Colombo, breezy, and cool. Really. I don’t want to leave but they want their table back…or charge me rent. Don’t blame them. They are coming…

Best Java lounge outlet. You can plug in your laptop and get some work done. One of the best places around the area where you can sip your coffee and relax. The staff is respectful and supportive.

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon as I Needed a place to catch up on work whilst visiting Sri Lanka and there weren't many places that had the same vibe as here.. highly recommended for all expats and business tourists who wants to get work done or just kick back, enjoys a coffee.. staff are very friendly and attentive

Stopped here for a bit on a hot sunny day and grabbed a coffee and cheese croissant. Both were average, in my opinion. They have a wide variety of sweet and savoury bakes, cookies, and more, along with a decent range of coffee drinks. It's a cool, comfortable place to work out of.
