I had high hopes on this place while everyday I pass this place to and from work. Today I happened to attend something in the morning without having breakfast. On my way back home I hopped in here for late ( very late) breakfast. Place is so charming. Neat and lovely. But the staff is not warm and friendly. Anyway I ordered a plate of American Breakfast and caffe latte. So sad! My coffee was warm just warm, not hot! Here came my breakfast after sometime. (it took extra long time) And, there were sweet pancakes. So obviously I asked for maple syrup or honey or any sweet fruity topping. They said, no they don’t serve any syrup and I was asked to eat my sweet pancakes with a small cube of butter which was served with the plate! 😃😃 I don’t think this place offers dishes for the value. I’m disappointed because I’ve been longing to visit here and keep this place as a hangout place with my friends. Not anymore!! 😭😭

I was there for the 1st time and it was for an official purpose. Location and inside environment are nice and more relaxing. It has a parking, so the customers can park their vehicles. We have used a meeting room too and it had all the amenities as we have expected and the room is too silent. I think their customer service is good. Taste of food and drinks are good and worth for the money. Overall experience --- A better place for relax or work or chill

Awesome place for quality food and a chill vibe. I can only speak to to their breakfast/brunch items, but all our orders were delicious, especially the Crab Royal. Would definitely be back to try out their full menu.

Tea Avenue was a delightful experience for our party of four! We had delicious strawberry iced tea and condensed milk tea. The chicken burger was a yum yum delight, and the waffles with creamy fried prawns were a solid 5/5. The cozy, homely vibe was the cherry on top.

Tea avenue is really exquisite. What a wonder.....It's located to jawatta. Interior design was perfect 😍 so adorable and always full of gorgeous customers who love to spend there time in here.

One of the most popular coffee/tea places around Colombo. If you are a person who cares about the presentation of what you get, make sure to call and ask whether are they capable of doing that. I visited there during a time where travel restrictions were not fully lifted, due to the COVID-19 regulations they provided food and coffee in a package similar to how they deliver food when someone orders online. Other than that this place is definitely a good place to have a visit.

This wad my first visit. The drinks were average. But, food was good. Parking is available for about 25 vehicles. The service is average. For the first timers; keep in mind, you should order the food first at the counter and have a seat. You should pickup drinks by yourself and food will be served to the table. There was only about 2 steward that I have seen.

Nice and cozy place for a date or a catchup with friends. Outdoor seating is available as well and the place is simply gorgeous at night time! The waiting time was a tad longer than we expected, but the food was good. I was told that they have meeting rooms kind of arrangements in the upstairs as well, available on pre-booking basis. Parking space was limited compared to the seating capacity they offer. Overall a very good experience and will be visiting again!

Dropped in for a coffee here and loved the vibe of the place. It's a great place to work or have discussions in a calm environment. I loved their caramel frappe and chocolate milkshake. You can dine on the ground floor, first floor, which has rooms, or even outdoors. Additionally, you can book meeting rooms upstairs for a fee. If you're a regular visitor, they have a loyalty card where you can get free drinks and stuff after you exceed a certain number of orders. There's ample parking available.

It was a delightful experience for the party of two! We had delicious breakfast, eggs benedict with crispy chicken, iced coffe and silver tips tea which was superb! Ambiance is quite calm and relaxing. Meals are reasonably priced and come in good portions

Crazy varieties of stuff (food 🤪👈) available. Had a prawn burger and a lovely drink with lychee, lemongrass and iced tea blend. Overall satisfied with the prawn burger. Saucy - yet delicious. The burger was filled with prawns. (take a look at my pics please) and the drink was tasty. Great service too. Friendly staff. Food standard was always maintained here. Will and must visit again. Halaal. Parking available. There's an option for customers to enjoy dining in with their friends or fam (family) or to do some assignment/ homework at their own comfort. Pastas, sandwiches, waffles , etc. -Available. And Many items on the list to drink. Just wow. Including my favourite "Yaara Tea". Love to hang around with friends and fam here ♥️

This is a new location, and actually a great location and property. Very spacious, enclosed, and green. Their menu is usually alright, and relatively wl priced. They didn't seem to have some items on the menu, like Strawberry for the waffle or Orange juice. That said, the food was tasty. Why the 4-stars? The interior was bland and just unwelcoming. I'm presuming it's because we are just coming out of a lockdown and they opened this recently - fingers crossed as it has great potential.

They messed up order after making us wait for a long time then when they finally made the right order after another 15-30 minutes, there were two trays to carry for which, I asked the the person with the red tea avenue uniform person very politely if he could help and he said “self service” rudely and just turned and went away. So I had to ask the other person with the black uniform and he accepted to help, wasn’t very happy to though cause I didn’t want to make two rounds. Mind you, The cashier counter wasn’t busy at the time and didn’t have any other customers at the time. Better up your game, customer service is very essential or looking at all the recent reviews you’d just lose more customers.

I went to Tea Avenue with my brother and my girlfriend. We had Beef Lasagna, Strawberry Milkshake. Cream Chicken Soup, Beef Burger with Sweet Potato French Fries, Caramel Macchiato, Crispy Chicken Burger and a hot chocolate. I normally don’t say this and never experience it but all their food and beverages were up to perfection. I felt like the lasagna was microwaved but it was really tasty. Their parking was full but luckily we had space. Had a relaxing time.

Tea Avenue is a cozy coffee shop in the heart of Colombo. It's a comfy place to relax. They have lots of different types of coffee and tea to choose from. You can also get yummy pastries and sandwiches there. The people who work there are really nice and helpful. It's easy to find, so it's good for people who live here and for tourists too. If you want a nice place to enjoy coffee or tea in Colombo, Tea Avenue is a good choice.

Just visited Tea Avenue at Jawatte Road with my nephew. We got ourselves a Beef Pasta Bolognese and the Charcoal Waffle with Chicken and cheese sauce. The food was pretty decent, I only wish there was a tad bit more spice and flavour on the Charcoal Waffle but the Beef Bolognese was pretty great. The food has gotten pretty pricey though :/ it costed almost 3.5k for just 2 dishes. Didn't get cake for dessert cos each slice was over 900/=. Also I checked their beverage menu..snd saw they had an Orange juice priced at 1150/=?? 🤣😓 The ambience was pretty good though! Such great vibes around here. Also the place was packed on a Sunday evening, I'm surprised we found a table for ourselves. The security guard handling the parking also was very polite :)

They make sandwiches out of waffles like there’s a rush to eat. It also makes it so you can’t taste anything because you’re forced to eat so quickly. It’s very American. I’m extremely hungry after eating the waffle egg sambol as it was served in sandwich form. Service cleared my cafe late (which cost the same as the food) because I went in to aas about whether they have vegetables or fruit.. They don’t. I eventually found an eggs Benedict with mushrooms and spinach, so apparently they have something. They wanted to serve it with hollandaise on a burger bun. Yuck! Don’t come here for local food or for remotely healthy or fairly priced food either!

A place with good ambience. Price was a bit on the higher end, but the taste was good and their service was fast. Will definitely recommend.

Tea Avenue in Barnes Place has always been a favourite place to have a super meal which is value for money. I have enjoyed a variety of food and beverages and I've had no complaints to date. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. No long delays to receive the orders even if there is a crowd. A bit on the pricey side but you will not regret visiting here. Would recommend this amazing cafe to everyone! I've continued to return to this place and so far, I've enjoyed all my times there. The food has been consistently good so far and it's a very comfy setting for a late night chat or lunch out with friends.

After moving to Jawatte, they still have a very limited space since they are still under construction. The seating was comfortable and the vibe was ok as well. The spacious living room at downstairs had only about 6-8 tables, hence wasn't very crowded (within the COVID-19 guidelines). Food was good and specially enjoyed the fresh Fish & chips.

Carmel frappe was quite good. The bbq chicken sandwich was a bummer,not at all worth for money. The bread was slightly dry,no butter or mayo had been used. The chicken tasted good ,that's about it. The crisps served on the side were not new as they lacked the crunchiness. The tiramisu wasn't tiramisu at all,not the slightest hint of coffee was present and it was oversweet too.

Food was so bad. Coffee was served cold. Caramel Machiata was so bitter. Brocolli smelled of fish. Mushroom was bland. Asked for scrambled eggs got sunny side up. Complained and not even an apology. It was the Jawatte branch. Been their before the food served was far better.

It's a lovely little place. There's outdoor seating and plenty of space inside. It can get very cold and a little noisy depending on the time of day, but it's a good spot to get work done, study, meetings or for chill time. I got the chicken cheese burger for Rs.880. It's filling and fantastic, a favourite of mine. Everything is a little pricey as expected, and in my opinion the beverages were overpriced. All in all, it was a good experience!

Great tasting Spicy Tuna Waffles. Best ever. Fast service. Cozy atmosphere for a fine evening with loved ones. outdoor seating available. Better than any major fast food restaurant chain. Compared to the food and beverages they serve here, all the fast food restaurants in Sri Lanka are selling garbage to innocent Sri Lankans and cheating them out of their hard earned money. Value for your money here.

Tea avenue is a good place with a peaceful vibe. You can focus on work while having yummy foods and tasty beverages. I used to go there to finish my master's assignment; a calm place for that kind of work with free wifi. This is an excellent place for formal and casual meetings. No one is coming to disturb you.

Located on Jawatta road this tea Avenue is spacious and has ample of seating available, both indoors and outdoors. The wifi is averagely okay and could be better. The prices of the dishes both their beverages and food are a little on the higher side when comparing to some of the other places available on the same road or in a different area. I did not get to trying their food items but will be doing so sometime soon. There are some unique flavours and beverages to choose from however when comparing to others.

The food was okay. But the horrible customer service never improves. These guys don't care about customers. They get many customers anyway, so they never care about basic courtesy. Overall experience A better place for relaxing or work. Hope you guys improve in future.

Good place to get a snack, have a meal, coffee and do your work. This place gets quite busy (specially during Powercut times), lot of people. Have good parking space. Went around 10pm, few items weren’t available from the menu. Place is huge so can accommodate lot of people and there’s no waiting to get a table. Outside smoking area and indoor seating available. Food and drinks arent bad, fast service. (They’ve a generator unlike other tea avenues so during powercuts they are operating)

I like the new location. I usually book the Earl Grey Room to conduct meetings and it is great for meetings (see pic). Only concern is the centralised sound system. So the volume of the music cannot be controlled and this can be quite distracting during meetings. I've had high tea at the OGF location some time back and the ambience at sunset was really nice. It was an ideal location for high teas as opposed to the current one. I've posted a picture of what we received. There was no refill on the tea which isn't much of a big deal but perhaps others would expect it. A vegan platter in 2019 cost close to 3k (2600 I think) for 2 people. Some treats were nice but the bun was hard and cold.

Offering a neat range of coffees and cakes, Tea Avenue has lived up-to its own standards for years. While they do have a decent list of burgers, sandwiches and other savoury dishes the prices are convenient too. Tried the grilled chicken burger and it was relatively small but delicious. Also the pancakes and tuna sandwiches both looked and tasted incredible. The food was brought to the table fast and the staff was helpful as expected.

Their beverages are amazing but food, not so good. They are overpriced and they increase the price in a big way. Last week the Charcoal waffle with fried chicken was Rs. 950. Now it's Rs.1200 Last week the Charcoal waffle with smoked salmon cream cheese was Rs. 1350 but now it's Rs. 2100.

A great cozy place to hangout and to enjoy a delicious meal. Food and beverages are delicious. What I like the most is the space which is available inside and outside. You can either sit in inside or there is a balcony as well. Highly recommended.

The experience at Tea Avenue was great. They were kind and friendly. Would have appreciated if i could have had the pleasure of ordering from my own seat rather than being rushed into order the moment i entered. Lols, these dudes be serving an average sized Mint and Chocolate Milkshake for 980/-. Tried to look and see if they dropped gold nuggets into the drink for it to be that expensive. Come on Tea Avenue, this is way too much :/
