This is the outlet for Pagoda Tea room / Green Cabin for Pettah area. Place is big and well made and well organized place. Bakery items, cakes are popular here. Also lunch available. Cozy place. Food is in very good quality and also delicious. Customer service is pretty good too. I forgot my bag in there and when I called, they told me it's safe and come and collect. Some space available here for parking. No wheelchair accessible entrance or wheelchair accessible parking available.

The pastries are ok here. I had their signature banana leaf curry rice which I feel is ok but nothing to rave about. Overall, a decent experience, nothing really fantastic. The best part of this place is that the staff here is really nice.

Green Cabin is really famous for its tasty foods , specially for their pastry items. This outlet also offer quality lunch too. However their ice coffee is taste more sugar. Overall you can get fine quality foods for reasonable price.

The lamprais I ordered was filling and tasty. The only negative was that the staff were not particularly interested in serving the customers. People, including myself had to literally interrupt the 4 front of house staff from chatting and play fighting in order to be served. Prices were reasonable.

Nice place to for a quick bite.They have coffee, Milo, pastries and the place is really calm. You can also get lamprais from here and their cold coffee is a top notch. We loved their different cakes lemon cake, love cake and cream bun. You can access the place even in wheel chair, they have a special wheel chair entrance. Dine in options are available or you can take away your food with you. This place is located in a very happening place, right beside the galle face. Simply come here for a quick bite or lunch both of it will be a good decision. I happened to be here with my family for quick bite and we were able to get everything in five min and leave the place.

Does anyone know if the Pagoda restaurant in Fort is run by Mr Shanaka Rodrigo? Or is this place run by the new management? Please let me know because I want to locate the original Green Cabin and not the new owners low quality operation. Thanks.

Even though there are lot of food stoles and restaurants in Pettah its very hard to find someone who provides good food. Here the food is good. Less oily and seams they are healthier than others. Only issue that I see at there is they should have cover dinning area from streets and kitchen. If so the people who dine there would have enjoy it a lot.

We went there for the lamprais and boy were we happy that we did. The Lamprais was really really good, it was very tasty. One of the bests we had while travelling in Sri Lanka.

It was a fabulous experience to be at this landmark restaurant. They should consider promoting them selves as a tourist destination.

Tasty food. Varieties of Cakes, short eats, beverages are available anytime of the day. Rice varieties are available for lunch. Pre orders can be placed for large quantity. Card payments available too.

Located in a historic building on a beautiful street. This is a place to eat like the locals do. I recommend the fried chilli (rs 80). The pastries are really nice too. The iced coffee is more like coffee-flavoured sugar syrup but I won't hold that against them - I'm not the target market. Stick with the nescafe (rs 60).

Average range of food options were available and the taste of foods were excellent. The quality of ingredients and freshness were great. The layout and the atmosphere were quite okay. The staffs were helpful and willing to help. Convenient access however parking was a concern.

This place has ambience you can enjoy. Food is good and service is commendable. But they run out of food by around 4:30 pm.

Food I ordered sandwiches and chicken pie for a birthday treat it was just mayonnaise and nothing much. Then they said a funny condition that the treat I ordered had to come from their main kitchen hence I have to bare the transport cost of 1000. Finally when the treat arrived they have placed price tag on the packed food items any restaurant with common sense wouldn't do Finally I wouldn't spend my hard earned money at any places like these who dictate terms to customer.

Location is bit hard to find due to so many business places clustered in a small area. however the quality of food similar to other outlets I have tried. highly recommended.

The food is good. However if you plan on dining the service is not up to the mark at all. The two ladies in the counter act as if customers are coming into make their life miserable. The food is readymade therefore it's just a pick and serve job they have to do. No idea why they have an unpleasant attitude. I come here regularly and two times they mixed up my order. When I asked for the chicken pie and paid for it they gave me the chicken bacon and egg pie which is of a lower cost. One day since I had a take away I could not change it.. however the next day when I dined in also the same thing happened. They did not admit to the mistake until I showed the bill and agreed to change the pie. Hope they have a change of attitude since the product is good.

Good place to have lunch in Chatham Street. The lumprais was not the traditional burghers recipe, didn't find fried egg, cutlet... and not tasty at all.

I have been there on 19.03.2022. Employes are realy "cold" and they are not interested to much to treat customers polite. The cheese cake was OK.

Not coming here again. The food was rotten on two occasions, once in a rice parcel and a short eat. After complaining they gave us a refund, but didn't throw away the food thats gone bad.

Pastry shop

The pastries are very tasty. The have various pies and they are very crunchy on the outside with various items in the middle. The flaky pastries have very creamy inside which rich in all kind of flavours. The lime juice of theirs is bittersweet which the actual reason I loved it. The taste is very organic. The place is hygienic including the food preparation. Also the lunches are available after 12PM.

Eating at GC in 2022, is very much a luxury. Rice and curry is Rs.600 as at June 2022. Lamprais (not authentic) is now Rs.680, the quantity has reduced but does offer a decent taste simpler to a rice and curry. short eats are quite expensive as well. About Rs.200 upwards. The place does have a good seating area. But no chance of parking on weekdays.

Silent place in colombo

It is a descent place to have snacks. The staff was friendly and hospitable. The food was tasty and the prices and reasonable. You may not have all options of hot drinks all the time due to the prevailing situation on the country.

This is nice place in this area. Very clean and provide tasty foods. They make very tasty cakes. You can bring you kids and please is safe for them.

Bought a few samosas, mutton rolls and some chicken bacon pies. They have used an bad oil or maybe over used the oil they fried some items with and it made us all unwell. Nauseated for 2 days now with an upset stomach. Don’t be stingy with food services! Increase the prices if you want to but keep the quality consistent. Such a disappointment from Sri Lanka’s oldest and longest running Café chain.

Green Cabin is one of the few places with good lamprais, but Chatham St is sold out fast. Service is good. Shorteats are not always fresh by afternoon. Overall, Chatham St Green Cabin remains a nice clean quiet place for lunch / snack when in Fort.

One of the finest cool places in the Heart of Colombo to have a snack for over more than 3 decades. Best is Pineapple Ghetto and Chocolate Pyramids. The recipes and taste not changed.

Tea is pretty good. There’s miscommunication with the waitstaff. We ordered iced coffee and he gave us lime juice. We tried to order passion fruit mousse and he gave us passionfruit juice... oh well. All of the customers there were locals.

Green Cabin is great. Good food. Great location. Friendly staff. A bit slow paced though.

One of the oldest restaurants in Colombo. Still reasonably priced. Standards may have changed a bit over the years but one place in Fort where one could still have short eats and lunch of some quality.

Used to be one of the golden oldie favourite food bars in the hey days, but has still managed to maintain the same standards with its scrumptoous spread of savoury snacks. Reasonanly priced clean snacks.
