St. Mary's Church is has a Beautiful architecture and it is one of the beautiful churches in mattakuliya. The St. Mary's Church was built in 1861, and it is a Catholic church. Its nave is built with significant hight and it adds beauty to the building. Light blue and white gives nice look and good during sunny days.

Church Community is old morethan 150 years and current church builton 1921. Church is very beautiful. Tamils and sinhalese both belongs to this parish community. Church is the heart of Mattakkuliya. Famous among other religious people too.
