I spent an amazing two weeks on this wonderful island. Chamila is a professional, he showed me everything I expected. We did a 8 day tour with Amila in November and it was a great experience. We had a last min flight change and needed to arrive Sri Lanka a day early and he was able to accommodate an extra day. He’s very thoughtful and remembered the things that we wanted to eat and made stops throughout the trip when he finds it. He helps us find good local food and recommended good places to visit.

We’ve spent amazing two weeks exploring and admiring the wonders of Sri Lanka. During the first week, when we traveled the most, our guide - Mr Hashen, except for the simply fun time, provided knowledge and advice on where, when or how. He was always ready to help and answer our questions - where is the best place to eat or what celebration are we witnessing. With him, not only did we travelled free from any worries, but we enjoyed the trip to the extent we didn’t expect.

Very responsive - I had made several changes for the itinerary and they accommodated. What really made us feel satisfied was that when on the first day, the assigned driver who picked us up from the Airport was coughing a lot in the car, we requested for a replacement, they were quick to make the change and sent a new driver the next day. For many of the sights such as temples or historic sites, our driver did not actually follow us in to give any explanations or tour, instead we had to (if we wanted) to hire a local guide at that venue. This was the part that I was a bit confused by, because I thought the tour included a guide but then perhaps it was not clear that only a driver and not guide would be provided. I would suggest that this point be clarified first with the company before you book. We appreciate that our driver made every effort to get us to our hotels, a few of which had inaccessible roads.

Overall, our experience with this guide and driver surpassed all expectations. His expert guidance, friendly nature, and deep understanding of Sri Lanka allowed us to experience the country's beauty and depth fully. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a memorable experience in Sri Lanka.

Chamila Tours and our Driver Hashen was fantastic, I highly recommend dem. We were in Sri Lanka for two weeks in November. Hashen drove us around a quarter of the island, fixed anything that we need, from lunch to guided tours. Using Chamila is an easy and well worth experience. I sent what we wanted to do over how long and got a price back. I booked hotels myself but I recommend you let them do it since they know the good ones and have good prices.

Well trip is at its end, but we wish it would last for month. Beside the wonders of Sri Lanka, we were so pleased with our driver/guide Hashen, who provided that all went smoothly and without any stress. Must repeat experience!

In Sri Lanka, Chamila picked us up at our hotel in Negombo and showed us the beauty of his home country. During our trip we have experienced Chamila us a trustworthy person who always was on time. He not only brought us wherever we wanted, but also explained a lot about the history, culture and nature of Sri Lanka, climbed Pidurangala Rock and Little Adams Peak together with us and joined us for the Bundala National Park Safari. Although we had only booked for two, our car was a spacious and quite new Toyota HiAce. The car was always clean and Chamila even cleaned it several times in the evening after dropping us at the hotel. In combination with Chamila being a very safe and experienced driver, this definitely added to the overall great travel experience. Furthermore, he stopped several times during longer rides and bought delicious snacks for us - thank you again for all these treats, we really loved them! Chamila has made sure that we had an unforgettable trip through Sri Lanka. He has shown us the nicest places to visit during our trip. Chamila has a private van with outstanding air conditioning (awesome!) and is a very safe driver. It is not the case that Chamila only drives you from place to place; he also provides you with a lot of information regarding the country and culture, arranges tour guides when requested and makes sure that all the tickets are booked (for example; train tickets and entrance tickets to parks). During our trip he took us to the nicest local food stalls, lunchrooms and restaurants that he knew. Everything was taken care of during our trip. But above all, Chamila is a very friendly, helpful and pleasant traveling companion to have with you during your trip. For us it feels like we have made a new friend. Even though we were in Sri Lanka during the economic crisis, everything during our trip worked out as we planned and we did not experience any hindrance during our stay. We spent 1 week with Hashen, as Chamila was not available at that time and it was the first time I had a guide/driver for a trip. He recommended us the best places and authentic experiences in Sri Lanka according to our preferences and availabilities: He booked for us in advance our train tickets to Ella which can be tricky to get. He managed to arrange quality tours with guides and told us the price in advance so that we were prepared and not surprised. He also suggested and booked for us a traditional dance show from Kandy and placed us in the first row, which was really worth it. The spectacle was amazing. As a seasoned guide, he knew exactly where to bring us and when to assist us if help was needed or if something was missing in our planning. Overall we were very happy with the experience and I strongly recommend Hashen with Chamila Tours if you are planning a trip to Sri Lanka.

I would like to recommend Amila as a guide if you dream to explore wonderful and fascinating Sri Lanka. We were more than happy that we had our 8 days tour tour organized by Chamila Tours and we truly enjoyed our time. He made a great effort to make sure we saw everything we were looking for. He did wonderful job guiding us from Colombo where we were picked up from the airport with comfortable Van, and in the following days heading to Negombo, Pinnawela for elephant ride and milk feeding, we saw Sigiriya lion rock, Dambulla cave temple, tea plantation, we took the famous Udarata Manike train from Nanu Oya to Ella, we climbed Little Adam's peak in Ella. Then we had a chance to take part in safari in Yale National Park. We did whale watching and had some time to enjoy Unawatuna beach. Our days started early in the morning and we were back in hotels around 6-7 pm so we had time to enjoy our free time, eat yummy local food, talk about our daily adventures, go through beautiful photos and get ready for next day adventures ⛅️🐘🌴 He has a very happy personality, speaks good English, is very cheerful and is an excellent driver who took care of us during the whole trip, we felt very safe and fulfilled with adventures. We truly appreciate and recommend Chamila tours if you want to explore Sri Lanka.

Chamila Tours made our trip to Sri Lanka a memorable one. From our very first interaction over email to our final farewell at the end of our trip, the Chamila Tours service was exceptional. Our driver, Amila, was so awesome! He was friendly, professional and informative. He would always make sure we were comfortable whilst travelling, and would always help us with our luggage. The car was immaculate each day, with bottled water provided as standard. Amila was happy to change our tour plans at the last minute if we requested this, without hesitation or fuss. Amila was also happy to stop whenever we wanted to buy food or take photos. He was also a very safe driver. Whatever our needs, Amila was available at any time to help. Going the extra mile - whilst turtle watching at midnight at Rekawa beach, it suddenly started to rain heavily. Before we knew it, Amila had run to the car and back and handed us umbrellas! All without having to ask. How considerate! We had read from other websites that some tour operators in Sri Lanka often take customers to "tourist traps" like Tea factories and Herb Gardens etc. where they get a share of the profits from any tourist purchases. This was not the case with Amila - he never attempted to take us to these places unless we specifically asked to go. In fact, Amila warned us about potential tourist traps during our trip! The tour suggested by Chamila was fantastic - with a variety of sightseeing, nature and relaxation. Chamila recommended that we stayed at Wellawaya - the kingdom eco lodge, which ended up being our favourite part of our trip!! Sleeping in a hut with no windows or doors looking out into the fields was an experience that we will never forget. I can't recommend Chamila tours highly enough - if you are visiting Sri Lanka, don't hesitate to book with them. You will receive a much more personalised, considerate and higher quality service at a competitive price compared to larger operators.
