Had a three day stay. Friendly and attentive staff, very accommodating. Michael's a funny guy. I initially turned up at 5:00am without a booking, and I was organised in no time. The place was very clean, and possibly in responding to an earlier review, I was provided with an excessive amount of toilet paper. There's a really nice rooftop garden and kitchen that I really should have made more use of as well. Yeah it's not The Ritz Grand Elysee, but it's good value, in a good spot.

The rooms are nice and clean, the location is super Stuff charged us with the exchange rate that was different from the official and we overpaid 2500 for one-night Also when we asked to arrange us a taxi to airport- the owners told us a price that was x2 times higher than pickmme or uber - we agreed on that, as we had no choice because of the curfew imposed. Then when we got to the airport they asked us even a higher price Be careful, they really try to fool the people who are staying with them, I would recommend to chose some other place to stay

The hotel The Den23 with its manager Felix is simply sensational. He helps with everything, be it adapters for charging, sim cards, transfers. Felix is such a wonderful host, always friendly always helpful. Likewise every member of staff is always friendly and helpful. The hotel is well equipped, the breakfast is delicious, we had the Sri Lankan breakfast. The roof terrace has a marvellous view of the Lotus Tower. We felt at home from minute 1 and when we are back in Sri Lanka we will definitely come back. 5 stars + Jörg & Deniz

The breakfast was outstanding and the view from the rooftop terrace is fantastic. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and all main touristic areas are in walking distance. The manager and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay in Colombo as comfortable as possible.

Excellent location. Clean rooms. Friendly, warm and helpful staff. Specially the owner, Felix. Super helpful, beyond just his responsibility of the hotel. Offered to help us throughout our trip even when we aren't living with him, which was so nice. Even stored some of our luggage that we didn't need for the duration of our trip down south, for free.

First two days in Sri Lanka! The hotel is great, beautiful rooms, rooftop view, delicious food and really kind staff! Highly recommend! ♥️

Centrally located, with a great view of the Lotus tower right in your backyard as it were (visible from some rooms and the rooftop). Right next to a supermarket. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Lovely common areas to relax, and friendly staff. I booked through agoda, for which the description of the bed arrangement on the website and booking confirmation was inaccurate, but Felix the manager was prompt to find us a workaround. He also helped us find a reasonable simcard provider and a plan within my budget. Wifi was down a few days during my stay due to technical issues but if you have your own data that's not a problem. All other points in the agoda description are accurate. Appreciation to Felix for maintaining such a charming place, for your warm welcome, and for allowing my team complimentary late check out!

Lovely restaurant with a touch of 5-star amenities. Greater customer care service stands out more than anything. Not to forget the high speed internet. Highly recommend for professional and tourists.

We arrive here as our first day in SriLanka, the hotel's owner make us a great welcoming. Also they prepared for us a very early check-in and explain us everything we should know. The location of the hotel is very good and close to all the main attractions of Colombo (max 10min by tuctuc). The rooms are very clean and very comfortable with anything you need. Terrace, or rooftop it's amazing, from here you can see the city and the lotus tower. We appreciated a lot this place.

I stayed at The Den 23 for my first night after flying to Colombo and could not have had a nicer time. The room was extremely clean, silent, comfortable, pleasantly decorated, and equipped with all facilities one may need to adapt to the new weather and climate zone (AC, fan), as well as free wifi. The hotel is also conveniently located, not far from the city center, and next to a well-equipped supermarket where you can find day-to-day groceries and a pharmacy, so to possibly cook your own meals in the well-equipped kitchen on the sixth floor. There's the option to request a nice, tasty, and wholesome breakfast (both continental and srilankan), which will be consumed on the rooftop, while enjoying a view of the city. Finally but not for importance, all the staff is indeed really helpful, kind, and warm, and will do everything in their possibility to make you feel welcome. Warmly recommended!

If you book somewhere else, you make a terrible mistake. The manager, Felix, is such a kind guy full of positive energy, you'll feel great when meeting him. Location is convenient and the place is very clean. The nicest thing they also have a orthodontic clinic right inside the hotel, I've asked them to make a byte aligners for my teeth. That was perfect and a way cheaper than Europe (Dr Janaka is super professional). Thanks and keep going great work!

We were so pleased with our stay here that we will definitely come back the next time! Host Felix is super nice and welcomes every guest personally if possible! He organised us typically sri lankan breakfast at an early hour because we had to leave early for the airport :) Rooms are super clean, service more than stunning and location perfect- nearby the city center :)

I thought I had already posted the review before seems I haven't. Really nice place, with a open area on the roof, and an enclosed glass room for smoking at the very top. You can either eat there or just relax with the gentle breeze. The rooms are good, and well maintained with parking space if u need to park your vehicle. Its situated right next to the food city so if u want you can buy grocceries and cook up your own meal, as they have a kitchen at the top floor. Incase u don't want to cook there is a good restaurant around 5 minute walk from there, I think it was called changos Park View really tasty and relatively cheap. It's also right next to the asiri hospital, I mean what more can u ask for??? Anyways I think it's a really good place and you should definitely check it out if you're in the area.

Newly renovated rooms. The interior was clean and tiedy. Service was really good nice staff. A decent stay for really good price compared to other Hotels around the area. The location make it really worth the stay. You could visit anywhere in colombo within 30 minutes. Ideal for businesses trips.

We can highly recommend a stay at The Den 23. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the view is just awesome and the manager Felix is just the best Host on earth. All the stuff is very friendly and helpful, even if you get lost at 4 am in the morning. We would definitely come back.
