We've been going here over the years, At the Beginning it was very good, but after our recent visit we have to say how disappointed we were.The location and ambience are excellent, we found the service a little pretentious and unfortunately the food was really disappointing - The menu has been the same for the last year or so, but the actual dishes are all different - the food is of low quality considering the price you pay for it- they are really cost cutting for profit now and it really shows - really disappointed because it used to be top notch , but sadly not now -

Great food and friendly staff. Worth paying a bit more for such excellent meal. Only a few details could be improved: the poke ball is a bit over combined with too much soya and unnecessary mayo. The door to the toilet should close automatically to avoid that guests continuously stare into the rest rooms and the staff could pay a bit more attention (avoiding forgetting one out of 2 lemonades). But these are details, the food is great and the price is fine ;)

Absolutely amazing food! Great view!

We came to colonia for 2 days from Buenos Aires and our meal here was the highlight of the trip. Lovely restaurant with a great view of Rio de la Plata- food was excellent and desserts were delicious. The Lima Flan was just exquisite. A must try if you come to Colonia!

A real disappointment! The place is in a great location and had huge potential, BUT: My wife and I ordered the grilled fish for her and the chivito for me. My dish was really good, they managed to take the chivito to a whole new level, that is until I took a bite with a big stone in my fries. Almost cracked a tooth and it still hurts the day after. I told the lady in charge about it and she said she'll talk to the kitchen and never came back. My wife's fish was rare and not properly grilled and her potato was burned black. When I payed the bill I asked about the stone and she just said she has no explanation for it and it's impossible that happened. The 2 stars are only because the Chivito was really good. So as I said, a real shame....

Caramelized onion and roquefort pizza was amazing! Also the bondiola and the pasta. Service was excellent and the place is beautiful. Good price-quality ratio.

We didn’t stay here sadly, but managed to book a table on the terrace with a view of the river. We arrived early to enjoy a drink in the garden. The restaurant food was amazing Please find time to look out this little gem

Incredible food and location, staff were great! Review is for a visit 6 months ago but felt like I needed to leave a review as we recommend this place to our friends often!

Make sure you make a reservation. I did not, I found out about the place from my hotel so I walked over around 7:15 pm. The waitress and water were welcoming, and mentioned I could wait by the bar and drink but couldn’t order food. Not a problem. She also said if there’s a cancellation she would let me know because you need a reservation. I was there for an hour and after I got a drink the waiter came by only once. Then it took half an hour to pay for my one drink. Priority def goes to those eating there. After an hour and a half and one drink I called it a night. Food smelled good though. There’s a few people that came and left because they were forgotten by the bar.

Absolutely delicious food and beautiful place and view of the river

Such great food and location. We sat outside overlooking the river. Excellent local wine choices. We ordered flatbread for the appetizer. Main courses were ojo de bife, chivito de lomo sandwich, salmon poke bowl & pumpkin ravioli. My husband who got the chivito de lomo said it was the best sandwich he’s ever had. Well worth a day trip to the cute city & great restaurant.

The meal was excellent, the overall experience was ruined by the miserable waiter who attended to us at the entrance. It was a very rainy day and his apathy was noticeable. Food is good though!

Great food I ordered several appetizers to start, the melting cheese being the best one! For main I ordered a oyo de Beef that was simply spectacular, and the volcano as a dessert which was one the best deserts I’ve had, the melting dulce the leche was amazing. Several options of drinks but it is worth trying the regional gin and the negro!

Beautiful minimalist setting by the sea. Excellent unobtrusive service. We stayed at an excellent hotel nearby, and dined here, watching seabirds and ferry boats.

Went to lunch here, the waitress is friendly and has exceptional knowledge of English, which is a rarity here. Nice view and very tasty food.

When they showed me to my table and sat me down, I felt the ambience, looked at the view, and I actually cried! It's so beautiful and peaceful right on the water and so tastefully decorated inside. I had a simple salad with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc from Montevideo. Nice. But then, the grilled fish was INCREDIBLE! Luscious, juicy and tasty with PERFECT smashed potato, olive and garlic mix on the side. Service SO professional and graceful. Thoroughly recommend!

Beautiful location by the riverside and tasty food! Make sure to make a booking before going as the salon is quite small and the waiting list is long!! Very happy we found this place! The staff was also very friendly and helpful! Beware that the food is not kid-friendly, since the menu has a lot of seafood.

Amazing dining experience, we have been traveling all over the country and this has been the best restaurant we have tried. Starting off with a fresh baked bag of bread and different selections of olive oil. As an appetizer we had the fresh burrata with strawberries, tomatoes, basil and some fired basil pieces similar to seaweed with a delicious balsamic vinaigrette and topped with roasted pistachios. Truly one of the best burrata preparations we have ever tried. The braised lamb picanha on a bed of mashed potatoes with roasted almonds, was delicious, the waiter let me know that it was a slow cooked dish that took between 6-8 hours to make. The star of the show for me was the dulce de leche lava cake, truly exceeded my expectations. The view of the river is beautiful and I would recommend booking dinner reservations for 8pm so you can watch the sunset! The location was wonderful, the service was great and the food was amazing!
