It is one of the most beautiful places that Uruguay has because the part of the construction that the Portuguese did in the city is contrasted with the daily life of the 21st century, restaurants, shops, etc. A place where you can return repeatedly and one always finds something more beautiful than before...Place that all tourists should not miss if they want to see part of the history that gave rise to today's Uruguay....

Colonia is a beautiful city, with a LOT of history! It is visited by many tourists since it is declared a historical heritage of humanity. Colonia has an old town, where part of the wall that had Portuguese and Spanish houses is located. It is very nice to walk through the cobblestone streets, and if you do it at night, illuminated by the lanterns, it is spectacular. There is also the bullring, which was recycled very recently, which is used for different shows. But from the outside it remains as it was, and inside the plaza, there is a part that was recycled but original parts are also maintained so that people can see what it was like. With a weekend getaway it is perfect to get to know all the corners

Nice place, a lot to see, I recommend the axion station, good service for travelers, they have an economical menu, if you travel these days there is an invasion of mosquitoes, bring a lot, a lot of repellent

Colonia, a city of peace in its historic center and everything. Its historic center with its cobbled streets and colorful houses from colonial times. Its chapel of the Holy Sacrament is simple and emotional for the visitor. It is my city where I feel calm and respected.

Very nice place, very high prices, as if it were a walk through Madrid, a simple meal can cost more than 30 dollars

Very nice town, but I will get better once the night breaks. A Plenty of outdoor dining facilities and live music, even on a Sunday night

Beautiful, beautiful town. Worth the trip. Do not eat inside of the old city walls, the restaurants are quaint but expansive and taking into consideration the high food quality you find elsewhere in Uruguay, in Colonia for the price they charge its terrible.
