It's stupendously good. The Roulade is so yummy. The salad is great too. The atmosphere is awesome. Service was prompt, friendly, and fast.

Fantastic food in a wonderfully welcoming environment! I had the cream of green bean soup, bread with butter, potato dumplings, spaetzle, sauerbraten, apple strudel, and my favorite Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier. Everything was amazing, but the sauerbraten was my favorite. The team was friendly and the live music along with the German decorations set a wonderful theme. I'll definitely be back!

Delicious! I started dinner with the goulash soup and German rye bread then I had the Jaegerschnitzel with red cabbage and fried potatoes, great meal. I don't live here but would reccommend it id you are looking for authentic German food.

Took my German mother-in-law for lunch. We enjoyed a wonderful meal. Her bratwurst and sauerkraut plate was flavorful and filling. I have not had better sauerbraten anywhere! The beef was tender and delicious. The potato dumplings and red cabbage completed the plate beautifully. We enjoyed a couple of German white wines, suggested by our server. The service was great and prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served. I truly enjoy the cute, European style decor, and the homey feel of Uwe's.

Even before I was born my family has been dining here. I will always make this place a stop when I'm visiting in from out of state. Be sure to consider calling in to make reservations. You will not be disappointed 🍀

We wanted something different and nostalgic. This place delivered on both fronts. The food was good and priced at about $20 per plate for dinner (they serve lunch too). MUST MAKE A RESERVATION! They have very few tables in the restaurant. The atmosphere is very minimal but it doesn't matter when you get your food, They have a vegetarian option for those who need it which I appreciated. The location is also a little sketch and reminds me of a diners, drive-ins, and dives episode. But give it a try when you want some real German food.

Fantastic food and atmosphere, we have been going for years. Their Veal Wienerschnitzel is fantastic as is their fried potatoes and bread. Highly recommended if you are in the Colorado Springs area.

Upside: Staff friendly and attentive, gentleman playing accordion, shared parking lot that I doubt would accommodate vehicles with trailers, prices fair, decent menu selection. Food was okay. Downside: Would say the place needs updating. I feel the portion size should be bigger in regards to price. Comments: I think the best item I had was the bratwurst.

This was the first time I'd had German food before, and I will say it's quite good. I can't remember the name of the dish I had as it was quite complicated, but regardless, the main entreè wasn't too bad, the gravy was quite good. But the main thing I loved the most was the appetizer which was Creamy Green Bean Soup; oh my lordy this was so good. It was a fantastic combination of both Cream of Mushroom Soup and the unique flavor of Green Beans. I only wish that it was a larger portion or that you could order a larger portion of it. The only reason I gave the food a 4 star instead of 5 is due to the small selection of food. The selection was quality but none of it seemed super super appetizing. I'll still highly recommend this place and certainly plan to visit again!

If you're looking for the most authentic German experience in the city, this is the place to go. The food will surpass expectations, and anybody who came up with German/European grandparents, expect to be reminded of their house. It's that kind of authenticity that sets this place leagues above anywhere else in the city.

Sadly, the night we went we had to leave before being served (I hear they've had great authentic German menu choices for years!) But it was too hot inside with none of the fans on nor any windows to open. Everyone else seated seemed comfortable tho. We'll definitely try again.

Love this place! Food is great and everyone is friendly. I like it much better than the "other bigger" German restaurant in town.

Uwe's is one of the best-kept secrets in Colorado Springs. It has all the quality of the Edelweiss, but is stuck away in a small Shoppette at the corner of Iowa and Kiowa in the Knob Hill neighborhood. The food is exceptional, and is completely authentic German cooking. Portions are large. My Jaeger Schnitzel with veal instead of pork was a huge serving, so big I had to carry half of it home. My guests had similar fare and ate all of it. The broccoli soup as an appetizer was great, as was the apple strudel with ice cream for dessert. The menu is smaller than that at the Edelweiss, but the food is as good, and in some cases (Jaegerschnitzel) better. In addition, this appears to be a hangout for local celebrities. Uwe's is a unique experience. I am certainly going back and taking guests.

Love the food. Not a fan of the loud accordion playing ... constantly (only paused to drink a beer). Couldn't even have a casual conversation, it was that disruptive to the atmosphere. Service was good, if you can hear what they're saying (and they hear what you said).

We had Wiener Schnitzel made of veal. Authentic flavor served with Lemon wedge. I don't know if the vegetables we're blanched. Veggies would have been flavorless if not for the brussel sprouts. Served also was home fries. Serving in a dish that two shared. Waitress was friendly and candid. The decor is dated but fits the ethnicity and countries the food derives from. Being one owner is Swiss and the other is German. Do not let the location or store front deter you. The food main course (meat) and desserts are delicious and well worth the price. Enjoy! I only gave them a four star due to the vegetables. You may like them, just was not for my husband and I.

This place was over the top Outstanding. We live 3 1/2 hours away from Colorado Springs and had to go there for doctor appointments and when we got to our hotel it was late and we were starving and didn't want Mexican food so I said let's try this German place about 10mins away. Wow I am so glad we did . The waitress was super friendly and constantly checking in us and the Food was just PERFECT I had never had the German house salad it had all different types of potato salad pickles vegetables and half of that stuff my boyfriend normally won't eat but he finished it off. Great job guys. Everytime we have to come to Colorado Springs we will be back for sure.

LOVE Uwe's so much! We went for dinner on a Saturday without reservations and were still able to be seated. I knew Uwe's was going to be good because the minute I walked in, it reminded me of my grandparents' house, in a good way. The schnitzel was good quality, but what stuck out to me was how the spaetzle was prepared. It was perfectly seasoned, buttered, pan-fried and crispy. You won't find that anywhere else. Just like my stara mama made. AND there are half portions. Definitely come here, you won't regret it!

Love family owned..great value! Schnitzel delicious! Great service! Fun to have our family together. Strudel wonderful. Gravy full of mushrooms. Salad fun and small. Bread cold and tasteless.

I have been wanting to try German food for awhile. My friend recommended this place and I am glad she did. I will be going back. The staff were friendly and it appeared that most of the customers were regulars. The portions were big and every tasted great.

We were traveling back from Pueblo, we Googled best German restaurants in co springs and came across this awesome authentic place ,we were confused in the dark parking lot until we realized it didn't open until 5:30.. everyone started heading to the door so we joined in only to realize they take reservations only, but they were generous to offer us a table,it was so amazing!! We'll be back to try out the rest of the menu, they even had homemade cookies for sale!! Such a goldmine find that night! If you haven't been it's a must go!!!

We were in Colorado Springs and were looking for a non touristy restaurant. I had never had German food before so we decided on Uwe's. It did not disappoint. The food, the service, the food, the food! I had the Jaeger Schnitzel, and a bowl of goulash soup. It was the best food we had on the trip! And everyone there was so nice. Call ahead because it is a small restaurant, but beyond worth any wait if you end up needing to wait. Love this place!

The food was okay. I would not tell anyone, " oh, you just have to eat there ". It was average. I was very disappointed in the salad. I lived in Germany for 11 years and fell in love with the salads they would serve with the meal. Uwe's was not a true German style salad. Everyone's taste buds are different, so you may love it. I had a lot to compare it too.

Enjoyed the lunch and easy atmosphere. A reservation is recommended however if it is group is between 2-4 there might be a table available. Menu offers popular German dishes in reasonable portions

Wow. I haven't had home-cooked German food like this since Germany. Wonderful little family place known expressly by locals and not to be missed. The schnitzel are excellent and the sausage served as it is in Frankfurt.

Excellent Service! Fantastic food! Wasn’t sure about eating at a German restaurant since I hadn’t been to one in over 15 years and it was my preferred choice. My husband said this is what German food is supposed to taste like. This was amazing and I can’t wait to come back!

Uwe's was suggested to me by a friend so I checked it out. I was stationed in Germany for a couple years before coming to the Springs and I gotta say that this is some of the most authentic German food I've had here. The staff are very friendly and it's a nice place to sit and eat, so give it a shot if you're in the Memorial Park area.
