Had a last minute stay needed and they were able to accommodate me and my children! The hotel is very clean, friendly staff, lots of snacks and drinks to purchase if needed. Want to know the best part... ITS A REAL FREE BREAKFAST!! Do you know how amazing it felt to get a real breakfast again at a hotel and not something out of a bag! I will 100% stay here again!

Don’t stay in room 228! This was the absolute worst stay we have had at a la Quinta. We booked with you guys over another hotel in the area, just to be given a room that reeked of smoke, smoke that you guys were aware of it. Needless to be said, but it was suppose to be non-smoking. We had our 3 kids with us, one who is an infant and after a long day of hiking expected to come back and if not relax, at least breath in our room. Walking in was an immediate punch in the face of heavy smoke. My kids were coughing, i knew not only would our clothes reek of smoke throughout this vacation, but my box braids which were $200 to get done, would need to be taken out. We went down stairs immediately to talk to Jerry the lady at the front desk, along with maintenance who both were aware of this ongoing problem in room 228. “They’ve tried everything, but can’t get the smell out”, “ we know it smells awful”. I went down 3 times to talk to Jerry, because she couldn’t bother to answer the phone when we called. We got to the hotel at 1140pm, thinking no problem, we’re having fun on our vacation and were unaware that we needed to make sure our hotel room was breathable before it was too late. Unlucky for us it was too late, we couldn’t find anywhere else to go, along with Jerry, who I requested to find us another room, but of course couldn’t. You guys were booked and everywhere else. Of course. The only other option would have been to sleep in our suv with our 3 children. We spend 2 hrs calling hotels that were now all booked. Had the worst sleep of my life and paid $200 for it. But we got a whole $40 dollars off of our stay we should be grateful, to breath in smoke fumes all night with our 3 children. We all woke up early after only a few hrs of sleep with headaches, left early smelling like smoke, with hair that I took down 2 days later, because I couldn’t stand the smell. Of course it was Sunday so there was no manager to talk to. I had to spend another day of my vacation, calling to speak to a manager (Jennifer) who told me $40 bucks is all she could do also, but told me Bruce would call me, and of course he never did. Extremely disappointed and will be filling an official complaint, to the health department and The Better Business Bureau.

Stayed there one night. The service from the employees was great. We didn't check in until about 12:30am so it was definitely late. The woman who worked the overnight desk was extremely nice. Really good to have her there. The room was mostly good. The bed was very comfortable. The A/C was blowing cold which we loved. But there was two problems with the room. One was the bedding. There were no blankets on the bed, nor in the closet. The top layer on the bed was like a sheet. Disappointing there were no blankets anywhere in the room. Second problem was there was no soap in the room. Zero. There was shampoo and conditioner and body lotion. But no soap of any kind. No soap for the shower. No hand soap by the sink. No soap anywhere. Which led me to wonder how clean the rooms actually are. If they didn't check for soap when the rooms are cleaned, are they actually getting cleaned. The location seemed sketchy when we arrived, but after further review the next morning, it didn't appear to be too bad. Just no soap which is unacceptable.

We booked a "wheelchair accessible" room to sleep 3 adults. The bathtub/shower was not at all wheelchair accessible and apparently they expect 3 adults to sleep in a king size bed. (The front desk staff confirmed this is their wheelchair room and it is standard practice for 3 adults to be in the king bed.) Also, check your alarm clock. Ours went off very early in the morning! And do not expect much cleanliness in corners, floors, or common areas. (See photos of electrical wires covered by wooden box in our room, cobwebs in ceiling corner, and trash in common area.)

Looks can be very deceiving, This hotel is very nice looking on the outside but is the most horrible place I have ever stayed. The rooms always smell like smoke, The other guests are always either partying or fighting, homeless people hanging out all the time. The manager Jennifer is very unprofessional and rude and she has no concern for the guests safety or hospitality. I recommend that you should never stay here unless you don't mind random people asking you if u want to buy drugs. This definitely is not a place for children or families, There are plenty of better places near by to stay.

I am only leaving 1 star because 0 isn’t an option. Upon check in I was trying to be positive, as it was less expensive than our other options. First thing we noticed was just how run down the entire building is. Stained carpets, peeling paint, “patch” jobs in the walls. It was so incredibly humid everywhere. The pool area is only 2ft 6in deep, everything from the pipes to the doors are rusted. There was green algae growing in the concrete on the pool walls. I didn’t have my phone so can’t provide pictures of that. The hot tub was also out of order… the fridge in our room wasn’t working, and we were told they couldn’t do anything and we can put our food in a fridge downstairs… NO THANKS.. day two, I went to turn on the air conditioner upon returning in the afternoon, and moved the curtain to find a full wall of mold. That was the final straw. Checked out as soon as we packed all of our things, and was only offered a partial refund. I can’t say a single good thing about this hotel. DONT LET THE FEW DECENT REVIEWS FOOL YOU!!!!

Rooms are ok. Pillows are hard, lumpy, uncomfortable garbage. They only give you 2 per bed and won't give out extras. Had to make a trip to Walmart and purchase 4 pillows for the family. No in room coffee maker. Elevator is sketchy and disgusting. The so called breakfast was terrible. Large, lump of scrambled egg like substance and some soggy, nasty sausage and the usual waffles with an empty syrup dispenser. The staff was quite friendly though.

I love the entrance because it's so open and modern! Check in was a breeze and they even give a military discount. The beds were very comfortable too. What I didn't like was the closet is in the BATHROOM, which we didn't use because who wants moist clothes!? Speaking of moist, there is no ventilator in the bathroom at all which equates to a moist room. You also can't open the windows, so it's makes the room, including the carpet, moist Also, our refrigerator didn't work and there were no replacements. So, we had to use our cooler and store food in the staff's fridge Otherwise, it was a pleasant enough stay. Like everyone else, they are short staffed, so if you want your room freshened up, you have to tell them. Same goes for if you need new towels. They have them available at the front desk.

I wish I could say this hotel was awesome but it wasn’t. The windows had condensation. There were crumbs on the floor and hallways. It also smelt pretty bad. There were weird stains on the floors and no fan in the bathroom. I thought it was code to have that?? If we had known we would have never booked. It’s also in a sketchier part of town

They must never change the air filters or clean the carpets because it is so smoky in here that if made my eyes water. I don’t have allergies that bad but I am definitely allergic to this room and can’t wait to leave tomorrow. When I left the hotel earlier in the day my head cleared back up and eyes stopped watering but as soon as I came back they started getting itchy and scratchy again, Zyrtec couldn’t even help it. They ran out of almost all of the stuff for breakfast with 45 mins still to go, so it was very limited and left something to be desired. Bed needs to be replaced, I woke up with back pain and the thing creaks badly getting in and out of it and has a huge dip in one spot. You can hear everything that is going on in the hallways, the door doesn’t properly seal. Location is good and price was fair, check in staff was friendly as well, so that’s why it’s not a one star.

I’m so happy my boyfriend and I stayed here! It’s my first time in Colorado and this is the perfect location. Corner store and Walmart are close by for quick pick ups. The breakfast was amazing. The eggs with green hatch Chile was so good plus waffles to make for fun. And the best for last, Jerry at the front desk was so nice. She works the night shift and for seeing her so early in the morning she was so sweet and pleasant and helped us with our needs quickly! Thank you again!!

Absolutely wonderful hotel!! We fled to this hotel after a horrible experience at another, and it was such a breath of fresh air! We will be staying here every time we come to town. Thank you so much for being a fabulous and CLEAN place to stay, along with a great area for the dogs to run around and do their business - which was also kept clean too! I wish I could give more stars, thank you thank you!

Don't let the pictures fool you. It like putting lipstick on a pig. The rooms were ok, the rest of the hotel needs repair. My biggest complaints were the homeless in the area, and the hotels welcoming them into the breakfast area. One guy filled up a gallon of OJ then left, without the staff saying a word. I think they condone it. Both the restrooms on the main floor I believe the homeless occupied it during the night hours, because they were occupied all night. If you want to pay for a hotel and feed the homeless, this is the place for you. We will not be staying there again.

Jeri was so kind and amazing to myself my fiance, when we had to get a last minute reservation very late into the night. We were having a very rough day and she was not only very kind to us, but she put together a little welcome bag for us and absolutely made our day better. Very fortunate that she was the person working the desk at 1 am when we arrived 🧡

The associate who checked us in was excellent. He was very friendly and provided all the necessary information. Stellar customer service. Unfortunately, that is where the excellence ends. The room was clean and presentable. The beds were semi-comfortable. The drain in the bathroom sink was broken and required having to hold the drain plug up to allow the water to drain. Really gross when you're brushing your teeth! The free break is just okay. Not much effort goes into meal prep. Everything hot is prepared in using a microwave with the exception of the waffles. 2 of the juice dispensers were out of order. Loved that the establishment was pet friendly, and we were amazed to discover the pool area is pet friendly as well. The pool is actually the reason for our poor review. The "hot" tub was COLD and impossible to use. The pool is actually an indoor/outdoor pool. The indoor section is the shallow part of the pool, but the water is only 3 feet deep. The temperature was pleasant, but the water was dirty. We had to go request clean towels from the front desk. All the pool towels were lying around mostly on the floor and all completely wet. There were also clothes on the floor left behind by former guests. We only used the pool for 30 minutes our entire stay. The indoor pool and hot tub was 80% of the reason I booked this room. We were very disappointed.

Pick a different hotel! Location is good for shopping and anything on north end of Colorado springs. Rooms are small and cleaned so so. Only two pillows per bed no extra pillows was told by front desk. Hall was dirty as heck. Grunge found on most surfaces. Air unit filters gross. Curtain broken and rod on floor. Still staying so will update with any other findings. End result : Checked out after 1 hr in room. That should say it. Pick another location. Now have been charged 31.39$ for what I'm not sure. Had to call and still don't see the charge credit back.

Jeri and Miranda were awesome. We had been driving around for hours looking for a safe hotel that was handicapped friendly. Jeri and Miranda found a shower chair and made us comfortable. I recommend this hotel to anyone! Jeri told us all about the town and made us feel comfortable. I just can't say enough about these two!! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We will be back for sure.

Hotel seemed nice , clean staff was overall polite. I was impressed with the staffs professional engaging behavior reflecting persons individual reactions of. The staffs outward&friendly attitude's most of the staff members seemed to share and geniunly seemed to show business and each person represented at the professional or staff level. This was a nice customer experience to feel comfortable and simply accepted to be myself. ( and my partner could be themselves. i have come to really dislike travel simply because of the judgment or ignorance some seem to love and need to share. contact non accepting staff treatment from professionals staff and Management to boot in respect to some perspective or opinions

I stayed here for 4 nights after my orthopedic surgery. I went a few days prior and was shown a room that I was told I’d be in the same just on a higher floor. What I was showed looked accommodating for what I needed. Upon checking in I was given a room that was much smaller and had no couch. I was confused because I was assured when I had been showed the room prior to my stay that the room would be the same. It was late when I checked in and I had surgery very early the next morning so I didn’t say anything. The next morning I went into my surgery and when I arrived back to the hotel very shortly after my surgery I couldn’t even access my room and was left waiting in a hallway for over 30 minutes while they looked for a tool to open the latch they thought was blocking the door from opening. Finally it was discovered it wasn’t a latch and after 45 minutes and requesting I be moved rooms I was in a new room. It was frustrating, annoying and a huge inconvenience after coming back and just wanting to rest because I was tired and in pain. At the end of my stay I requested a late check out and was informed that I could check out at 12 instead. Well, at 10:20 am well before regular check out I had a man with a clipboard literally banging on my door only to say “oh ok nevermind” once I answered. He worked there because he was the same man that was looking for the tool to unlock my door previously when I was locked out. An hour passed and at about 11:10am the same man was banging on the door again. Irritated at this point I called down to the front desk and complained about what had happened and was informed that she hadn’t let her staff know I would be checking out late. Regardless of that I have never encountered a hotel that sent someone knocking on doors to check rooms before check out. I felt as if they were trying to clear rooms and rush their guests out. It was honestly an unpleasant stay with all of the inconveniences I encountered.

This is the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The customer service is non existent. I normally would not even leave a bad review, but this place is really so bad that I felt future customers should be aware of the practices of this hotel. When I checked in I paid in full and they added an extra $635 charge. When I asked the manage about the charge she said that it wasn’t them even though it plainly says La Quinta on my statement. I called my bank and the charges were reversed, only to reappear the very next day. When my husband asked this same manager about it she again denied it was them. When he turned around to leave she made a snide remark behind his back. Bottom line if you enjoy no customer service, paying extra for services not rendered, and people talking behind your back then this is the place for you. Otherwise run and don’t look back!

Elevator didn't work properly. Door freezing half open. Never put on the website that the pool would be down a week to 2 weeks for repairs. Really. Wouldn't have stayed here. Really look at the reviews before booking.

This hotel needs a MAJOR over haul. We stayed in this hotel last year and felt it was bad then. This trip, we couldn't remember which Laquinta was the bad one during our travels. We wont forget this time. Walking in the hotel itself, you get slammed with the smell of pot. I understand its Colorado and Im not judging at all. But it was strong. Our immediate impression of the room was not good. The walls badly need panting and repairs. The curtains are dated. The chair in tge corner was just nasty... I wont even let my dogs get on it. The television kept cutting out.... there was a weird box on the floor. There is a rusty heater vent in the shower. There is no fan in the shower... Its just bad. I would not recommend this Laquinta at all

This hotel was great for the price! I was honestly amazed at the snack bar that they had available; we didn’t even need to ever leave to get any snacks/drinks because they literally have everything you could ever need! (I actually asked if they could give me the name of the employee who kept up with that which was Jessa because I wanted to write a review based on how impressed I was of her snack knowledge!). The rooms were decently cleaned along with the hotel and it’s a great location. The only reason I’m not rating 5 stars is because there’s tiny room for improvement in cleaning in the rooms.

Very nice employees and good service. The out side is really nice until you get in the inside. All 4 ice machines were out of order, the hot tub was out of order, our rooms had a bunch of stuff that needs to bed fixed. This hotel would be really nice if they would renovate.

Rooms smelled, carpets did not look clean at all you could see where they had not been cleaned, bed sheets were dirty and smelled. Carpet in room was squishy. Outside was not kept up weeds all around it Update. Mama get emailed after original review was posted. Said she would look into it and get back to me within a day or two. It has now been over a week and I have emailed her two or three different times and still have no response from her. This says a lot to me about the hotel and the people that run it, no response. I would recommend not staying here.

Staff was really nice! Breakfast was good! Rooms were pretty beat up, definitely need some love. But that was the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve slept on! Also it’s a nonsmoking hotel yet the whole fourth floor reeked of cigarette smoke.

This hotel is greatly in need of repair and cleaning. Carpets throughout the hotel are dirty All the walks are damaged. Tikes everywhere are broken. The elevator is filthy. Weeds in the front yard are 18" tall. The refrigerators in both our rooms were so loud, we had to turn them off. The wall next to our bathroom sink looked to have blood splatters on it. After checking in, we waited for hours to get pillows in one room. Breakfast was not what we are accustomed to having in other La Quintas. Overall very poor quality. Wyndham really needs to go in here and completely redo this hotel

I loved this place!!!! We were staying at a super 8 and had to be moved. The regional manager was awesome!!! He upgraded us to the La Quinta. The staff was great!!! The rooms smell great and are clean. The Dove products were on point. And it's quiet. I was definitely impressed!!!! Good job La Quinta!!!!

I was okay with everything.. it wasn’t very clean.. but I wasn’t going to complain, it was just one night.. but then we found the BUGS in our room! Ew. (I have photos!) Definitely was not worth $110 for one night. Our budget is tight and we had to come out for our child’s dental work and this has been disappointing. The one positive I can really say is the front desk staff at check in were very friendly.

Amazing stay! I don’t even know where to start! Breakfast in the morning is so flavorful you must make it a part of your day! The pool is indoor/ outdoor which is pretty cool ! The rooms could use a remodel, but the bed are comfy and decor is nice !! The view is what has me sold !!! Seeing the beautiful mountains is an amazing way to wake up !!!

  • 3/5 Catina D. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms are nice at first glance, but our room had no luggage rack or place to hang clothing. No towel bar close to the shower. The biggest negative is the bathrooms do not have exhaust fans. I don't need to explain what sort of negative issue that causes. The pricing is too high for the lack of things travelers look for and need.

House keeping was absolutely amazing. I love how the staff works together. Some of the employees do not speak English and I got to use my translation on my phone for the first time ( please do don't make them feel like it's a inconvenience) if you have a cell phone, use the translation app. The woman at the front desk was absolutely amazing! Very accommodating. Jerry is my favorite! We moved here on a plane straight from NY with our son. This is our first taste of this state and this hotel made us feel so welcome. The staff works extremely hard for breakfast. I have been up every morning and they work so hard at replacing everything so quick. Alot goes unnoticed because there is so much traffic and new people. I just want to say how proud I am of this establishment. A hot tub, a pool ( my 4 year old can actually touch the bottom) a gym and a washer and dryer ( saved our life) for people staying for a few Days at a time? This is the place you want to be. If you need something replaced just call the front desk. They stay on top of everything! Not to mention pet friendly,we were able to move with our pet. I also did up our room for my husband's birthday ( we moved because he reports to fort Carson) we were here for a week and I made it feel like home!

As a Property Manager, I unfortunately had to displace 14 residents due to a water main repair. I set them up at La Quinta and this staff was 100% on point with me making the arrangements! From the beginning with Lexi, throughout the week with Eric and Will, and the end with Erica and Jennifer....everyone was so helpful! I would definitely recommend this hotel for its location alone, but customer service puts it over the top!

Room was dirty. Dust on all corners and base bored could barely breathe due to allergies caused by dusty room. Wall had hole in it. A/c did not cool room despite the weather being 40 degrees the room was over 80 degrees. Bed sheets stained and prior guests personal items behind night stand. Would not recommend. Would give 0 stars if possible.

This is NOT a nice hotel. I think the cleaning staff has just given up altogether. The mattress we were sleeping on has pee stains on it! (See pics) There are multiple spots where the paint is peeling off the walls as well as the ceilings. The bathroom has no ventilation and has multiple places with rust spots. The shower knob is so loose it almost falls off every time you turn it on. If you don’t believe me just look at the attached pictures. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

  • 3/5 Nichole W. 9 months ago on Google
The staff are very friendly. They really need more air conditioning by the front desk. I felt so bad for them in that heat. Breakfast was decent. The rooms are decent but could have been cleaned better in the bathrooms around the edges as shown in the photos. The bed had a stain and holes in the blanket.. The lamp looked like it had smears of blood all around it?? The ceiling looks like it is deteriorating. The hot tub and ice machine are down. I am very disappointed that we paid nearly $400 for this room for two nights. I know that is on the cheaper side but I still expected and hoped for better than this... **Edit to add** I stripped the beds because I'm weird and try to be thoughtful when staying somewhere else. I always clean up the trash and pile up the pillows. The mattress that I slept on all weekend has the biggest stain. Small stains on the mattress under the sheets are sort of understandable but this seems like something that should have been deep cleaned or thrown away.

Beautiful hotel. Love the purple walls. The beds were comfortable. Spacious bathroom. Great breakfast. I gave it a 4 because the top sheet on both beds had some sort of stain on them. Looked like some kind of liquid dried up.

This hotel is pretty good. The one complaint is that I'm sure that they could afford better towels. To be fair, some of them are the plush towels that we are all used to. But the ones that I found upon checking in weren't like new towels for your home. Now the ones that my husband got when he walked down to the cart as the woman was cleaning rooms, they were the plush XL towels we are used to having . But everything else about the room was good. Except for the extra tall bed. I'm only 5'2", and it was above my waist. So after I had surgery on my arm, it was especially difficult to get up on it without a chair.

  • 3/5 Socorro E. 1 year ago on Google
I liked the customer service and the rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. What I didn't like is that they advertise it as having an indoor pool, but it's half in and half out. So when it's in the 20's and snowy, the kids can't swim... it's too cold which defeats the purpose of having an "indoor" pool.

Jeri is a woman I will remember for the rest of my life!! As a woman in the service industry you notice it’s hard to find someone who loves what they do after dealing with people all day! It can be a challenge. Not for Jeri she went above and beyond for me and my husband the minute we arrived. Not only did she have an amazing attitude she actually made us feel beyond welcome!! We stay at this hotel at least once a month and have been very pleased every time!! But this time was extra special!! Thanks so much for everything Jeri!! Oh yeah and let me talk about the green chili the lady who was serving breakfast makes!!! I always leave a generous tip cause she also goes above and beyond, and it never disappoints!!

Loved this Hotel!! We had a beautiful view of Pike's Peak from Our window with snow ❄️ on it. The Staff was excellent 👌. The room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was delicious and They had an amazing spicy gravy. We will definitely be staying here again if We go to Colorado Springs. This Hotel is centrally located to Pike's Peak, Royal Gorge, and Garden of the God's.

I can only hope that Margo at the front desk sees this and knows how grateful we are for her! After having to leave a truly dreadful hotel with pee in the toilet and a smoke filled room about 5 miles away (after driving ALL day), we called and luckily we were able to speak with Margo. She not only helped us get the online price that was not available anymore, but was able to give it to us for the 2 nights we had planned to stay at the other hotel. The lobby is clean, well stocked, and staff is friendly. The room was clean and everything was prepared. What could have easily turned into a HUGE fiasco for two young, female travelers turned into a great experience! Thank you Margo!

It's on the cheaper end of the stays we found but it had it's bright points. The pool is half indoor and half outdoor which is kind of neat, but it's only 4 feet at the deepest. The breakfast on Saturday was very complete and was pretty tasty as well. We had eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. The room was okay but a couple of the lamps were missing shades and were just bare bulbs.

We had to stay here because my little brother was in the hospital in Colorado Springs. the people at the front desk were very nice. the food for the breakfast was terrible. the sausage tasted like it had freezer burn, the eggs were dry and the coffee tasted like water. The swimming pool had dirt and bugs and it was very cloudy like it hadn't been serviced or cleaned in forever and it smelled like a sewer. There was trash on the floor in the pool area and dirty linens by the door that had been there the entire time we stayed. There was dog poop in front of the hotel sliding doors where you go to check in. (large Dog) and there was dog vomit by the silver trash cans and it looked like it had been there for several days. The carpets in the room hadn't been vacuumed and the bedspreads in our room had big tears on them. It is not our job to report that. Why is housekeeping putting on comforters, blankets or bedspreads with tears and rips on a bed. When it came to breakfast you could tell that nothing had been restocked. We were there for 3 days, and nothing had been switched out or replaced with fresh. The staff was very friendly but the time we were they were on their phone the entire time. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I feel like the general manager or owner should go in and fix this hotel. It was awful.

Be aware that this isn't your typical La Quinta and should not have a 3.7 rating as of December 2023. When we arrived, we noticed that the landscaping looked overgrown, and there was trash in the parking lot. However, we have always had good experiences at LaQuitna, so we decided to stay anyway. We went inside and noticed the pot smell, which we presume was the on-site staff that helped up. He was nice and very helpful. When got the key and went to our room. The door had to be forcefully opened. Once we got into the room, we noticed that the light fixture on the wall was missing its shade. The room seemed clean no the less. My husband went to shower, and there was drywall peeling off the ceiling in the shower. We also noticed the door from the inside appeared to have had a hasp possibly at one time on the door and there was putty in 4 holes and it looked as though someone had pried on the door at some point was well. Our dogs didn't sleep well and were restless all night even though they have stayed in several rooms. The breakfast looked like it had been sitting out for a day. There were very selective options as well. Someone had gone in and also made a mess of the downstairs main guest womens bathroom as well. We were very disappointed in our stay and needless to say will not be back.
