Went in for Covid19 at point of Pneumonia. Had to wait over an hour to be checked in. Then another few hours to be seen. Only to be sent home on oxygen and zero meds to help. My Primary Doctor had to order meds. Meanwhile patients not as bad as me got a room and were also seen faster. I had to return to ER because my health wasn't improving. Their only advice was go home and up the oxygen levels. The Doctor this time actually testified to ER practice was to turn patients away especially if they had Covid. Wife falls barely can walk, sit or lay down and they straight up only xray knee when biggest issue is her spine and hip. And still haven't been seen after 2.5 hours of waiting. Their excuse is there isn't enough staff to use the empty rooms they have available. Why is it some wings can have 1 nurse for 6 patients, but the critical wings only allow 4 patients for each nurse? Most of the time you just see them chatting it up with other nurses proving they can do more.

This used to be a decent ER but now itā€™s seriously terrible. I was there last night and the wait was 4 or more hours. There seem to be only 5 people working including front desk. They said they didnā€™t have enough rooms but when I was bright back to get an IV the rooms were empty. It seemed like a major staff shortage. They put all the patients in the waiting room for hours with IV bags. I never saw a doctor. It was scary because it seemed like you would die in the ER waiting and no one would tend to you.

First of all Iā€™m only giving one star because it doesnā€™t allow zero stars. I walk into the emergency entrance with my sick child, I have her diaper bag on my backā€¦ The first thing the security guard dose is DEMAND I put all my things on the table so that she search through everything because ā€œitā€™s policyā€ with the rudest attitude. When the people in front of me just had to walk through metal detector. This is not they way people seeking medical attention need to be treated. I WILL NOT RETURN. YOU PEOPLE NEED BETTER TRAINING.

If I could give this hospital zero stars I would. My family lives in Falcon, so this is the nearest hospital. However, with the lack of actual care we will be going to another hospital from now on. My husband had a severe rapid infection, to the point he was unable to walk. He was in incredible pain, high fever, and noticeably needed immediate care. I drove him to the ER and we arrived at 2:30 AM. We did not get a room until 3 hours later. The staff was very rude. Even though we got a room we still were not seen for another hour, and he was only seen because I hit the nurses button. When the nurse came in he was very rude, did not take the time to hear my husband's problem, and then said he would send a message to the doctor. I understand that this is a hospital and there are people who need care, but the staff is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. The lack of care could lead to more issues for people or even death. While my husband was in severe pain the staff was sitting by their computers conversing and laughing with each other instead of helping patients.

Will do everything in my power to never go to this ER again. Went in at the end of March with symptoms of AFib. The intake nurse told me my heart was still fast but in rhythm by the time we got there. Was sat in the waiting room for 20 min. Got into a room, waited 30 minutes, while listening to staff outside my room joke and laugh about their evening. My husband went out and asked what was taking so long. ā€œWe are having a shift changeā€. Really? Eventually I was given an IV and EKG. Dr came in, and patted me on the back. Literally, the only thing he did. They ran a few more tests on me. Was in the ER for almost 4 hours. Was told the Dr ordered another IV bag, but I refused it since they hadnā€™t pressurized the first and didnā€™t want to sit in there. The hospital in total billed my insurance almost $9,000. Now it is the end of May, Iā€™m getting yet ANOTHER bill from the Dr for over $200 for ā€œhigh severity visitā€. After waiting almost an hour before ANYONE did ANYTHING. The hospital bills separately and so do the Doctors who did nothing for me. When I asked about this, they stated I signed the form to consent to this on intake. What a scam! They also billed the IV PER HOUR while they purposely didnā€™t pressurize the bag? I have NEVER had that before. I will say, the nurse that did tend to me in my room was excellent and very kind. However, I pray I never have to come back here. This was the worst ER experience Iā€™ve had. Go somewhere else if you are able.

I am extremely disappointed with this hospital. I went here Thursday 6/15 with light bleeding after spotting off and on while being 6 weeks 6 days pregnant. They did and ultrasound and blood work. Multiple staff members were dismissive when I expressed concerned. The PA I saw told me they treat all spotting and bleeding as a miscarriage unless otherwise proven while other staff members such as the ultrasound tech dismissed my concerns because ā€œspotting is normal.ā€ They told me my ultrasound showed early pregnancy development but no blood in the uterus. When I asked what about the blood thatā€™s coming out now he said ā€œoh yeah but only that.ā€ He never mentioned my hcg levels until I asked about them. They were pretty low for how far along I was. When I began bleeding even more the next day and went to UC Health, they told me that the St. Francis ER staff had failed to tell me that there was no definitive heartbeat the day prior. The UC Health ER doctor also immediately let me know that my HCG was low which again was never brought to my attention by the St. Francis staff. The doctor at St. Francis saw that all signs were pointing to a miscarriage and failed to tell me. They sent me home thinking everything was okay and the next day I lost my baby. They could have simply let me know what to expect in the coming days or weeks and instead charged me thousands of dollars to keep me completely in the dark. The staff that attended to me that day need renewed training on how to treat patients.

Honestly I hate to put this review, because I had a good experience overall years ago when I was hospitalized for several days. But, what I experienced in their emergency room was unrecognizable. I needed to be seen for an injury to my foot. I spent 4 hours here and did not have a single person look at my foot. Glance, sure and the only thing he said was ā€œIā€™ve been there beforeā€. Referring to stubbing your toe, which I was not there for a stubbed toe, far from that simple. I was in immense pain and discomfort, so much so that I left before even being seen by a doctor. I was there for 4 hours, it was 2am when I arrived.. They didnā€™t even take the time to clean the wound, I had to do that on my own when I got home. Still payed an arm and a leg for such incredibly poor care. Disappointing, I was just telling my wife how much better I find Centura than UC Health. I do not feel that way anymore. They both suck. We have terrible options in the Springs.

Went in the ER feeling like I had one foot in the grave. After 4 hours Saint Francis ER doc diagnosed me with a ā€œstomach bugā€. Got a second opinion next day from UC Healthā€¦ I have pneumonia. Go somewhere else, these clowns have no clue what they are doing.

My husband was just there for a chronic, diagnosed condition. He's been throwing up and in pain for 9 days and finally couldn't take it anymore and went to the ER where he's previously received care. Apparently it's a waste of time to go there is you are an adult on the Autism spectrum. You won't be heard and your pain and vomiting will be dismissed because you are obviously just an opioid seeker. At this emergency room it isn't about patient care at all. But it is about their personal opinions, bad judgment calls, and cookie cutter care. I am open to speaking to a person in management about this issue and have plenty of feedback about doctors and nurses from my own experience there as well as my husband's experiences.

I work in healthcare. I visited this facility about a month ago for severe onset dizziness while staying at Great Wolf. When I walked in, our insurance information was taken by front desk staff. We were let back immediately as there was no one in the waiting room. The nurse greeted me with a wheelchair, my husband had to help me get settled -she just watched. She then proceeded to speed me down the hall. I asked her to please slow down as I was feeling very dizzy. She said ā€œokā€ but did not slow down. I could tell they were not aware of my insurance because of my care to be honest; it felt lacking. It was like I was just another patient without a name to them. I understand working in the ER, the shock factor may be low, but donā€™t treat people like what they are experiencing is not scary or real to them. My symptoms were minimized and I was left to feel like I was being overdramatic. This is not good in healthcare and would recommend some re-training. Although, empathy may be difficult to teach at this point. At the end of the visit, I was asked for my insurance information again and I provided it. I just received a bill that says my insurance info is not on file. Go figure. Also, I found out later that the dr should have performed a certain maneuver on me to help subside the dizziness, and he didnā€™t. Not cool. Would not recommend this ER, but also wouldnā€™t recommend any ER probably. Stay healthy friends.

My husband went in for severe back pain. We were waiting for 3 hrs for a CT scan and came to find out that the ER doctor put the order in incorrectly and it took 3x to finally ask for meds each time they said they'll be back and took over an hour to get them. When my husband was being discharged the first time he couldn't even sit in the w/c or use a walker and the 2 nurses were very rude to me and not being transparent throughout the whole process. We will never come back to this ER. Communication was horrible. The only good service we got was from radiology he offered my husband a warm blanket and had great bedside manner. They told us to call back tomorrow to schedule an appointment for next Monday for possible surgery but then said we can't get an appointment until MAY! The whole visit was a waste of time. We went to memorial central and there's a 100% difference here much better care.

I broke my ankle in two places. Onsite staff were great! However, the ortho surgeon on call never returned pages over a 5 hour period. In addition, the prescription could not be filled at the cvs pharmacy next day because it was out of stock. They could not forward the prescription because it was a C2 drug. The ER could not reissue the prescription without the original doctor canceling the order. The charge nurse had no way of contacting the original doctor to cancel it. What a CF! Post ER care needs to be fixed.

Waited 2.5 hours and not seen. Very slow seemingly. Nurse checked me in ā€¦ asked me a couple of rapid fire questions. Did not identify herself. Didnā€™t know wait time Curt and unpleasant manner. Had my order transferred by my family Dr for the test I needed to another hospital ER and informed the desk I was leaving. Colossal waste of time.

My wife went in because she was feeling light headed due to pregnancy. They said she might have a blood clot and needed a cat scan. The doctor came in after a whole day at the ER to tell her everything is normal because she's pregnant. They couldn't have told her that before assuming she had a blood clot and charging us over $4,000 for nothing?

First visit 10/25/2021: Had to be rushed to the emergency room after a blood draw had resulted in beeve injury that I am still currently having to fight with. I went in and was in agonizing pain with screams and tears streaming down my face. I felt very judged by other patients as they were staring at my commotion so I tried to be quieter, but never had tears stop streaming down my face for the almost 2 hour wait. I was finally taken to talk to a male nurse about what was going on and the male nurse while I was talking about the incident and getting upset told me "Now I can't help you if you cannot talk to me clearly. You had stopped crying and I saw you sitting in the waiting room with no tears, so stop this so I can help you. I cannot help you if you continue this". I was baffled because he never came out to the waiting room and I was stuck on the other side of the waiting room where nurses couldn't see me. I forced myself to stop and told him that I had immediate pain and numbness followed by a burning sensation and lots of pain, which I had taken 1 ibuprofen for that didn't have any effect. When I was taken back to a room I was crying from the pain and burning getting worse and for the fact that the male nurse invalidated my pain and emotions. I was eventually seen by one of the Dr.s or P.As and he just kept bending my arm to get me to scream and I did for the first 5 minutes of him doing it and eventually started to not let my arm bend the way he wanted so I wasn't in pain anymore and he said "Well, it looks like it has gotten better" and started to write me off and I told him it still hurt and he said "Your arm isn't hurting when I bend it anymore so you probably just have some nerve injury, so just talk more ibuprofen and/or some Tylenol and you will be fine". I was sent home and told to ice it which I had previously stated to him makes it burn and makes my hand turn purple and he told me to do it anyway if I wanted it to get better. I went to see my primary and he gave me a prescription for nerve pain medication and that Tylenol and ibuprofen would not help because it's not ment for nerve pain. After that the pain got better but after awhile got worse and STILL has not been resolved even though in the ER notes it said the issue was resolved. I can't find any way to get it fixed so that it doesn't say it was resolved. This emergency room is the worse place other than PeakMed medical groups to go to for care. Peak med allowed a nurse hyped up on caffeine and no sleep with shaking hands to do my blood draw and then refused to admit that they did anything wrong. One picture is the night I got home from the ER and the other is the day after. One star doesn't express how bad their care is here, especially for females who come here. Second recent visit will be posted

Had a great experience! Thank you Nurse Leigh for all of your help. You made our visit pleasant, as best you can at the ER.

Got there late, had my stuff searched. Happy for it, no weirdo is going to sneak in a weapon. Felt safer, too many shootings lately on the news. I had to wait in the waiting room and you know? I didnt mind it, because I saw how hard the staff was working and I know sicker people needed to be seen first. I saw some ambualnces coming in through the window. I waited about 3 hours. Normal, I think, its a ER. I listened to a lady go off on a nurse for being put in waiting even though she was brought in an ambulance. She was rude, felt sorry for the nurse. If you're not dying... you can wait. Nurse was nice and patient with her though. Got to my room, waited some more... they were pretty busy and it was about 1 AM. I did hear staff talking at the desks but i didnt bother. i cant imagine the stuff they see so whatever gets them through their day. Turns out I was fine, just felt ucky thanks to covid. Got fluids, went home. Overall about a 5 hour trip but i was thankful they were able to help me even a little. Cant do much for a virus I guess, just wait it out. Next time I will go to urgent care for a test first or test at home.

June from ER Ultra sound and receptionist had Great Customer service and gave excellent care. Dad had hip surgery (82) and was sent for ultrasound. Ended up at ER they very attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. Treated my dad as if he was theirs. Very patient. June from the ER ultra sound dept offered to do the scan on such short notice. I am so grateful to the customer service and knowledge given. Thank you Jun and staff for going above and beyond and for your patience.
