Lived here for around a year. Liars and liable. They let a rusty old light pole fall directly on my truck, which totaled it. Refused to take legal responsibility for it. Not to mention the horrible experience we had after moving from a 1 bed to a 2 bed. The AC was literally shaking our apartment and after fileing multiple complaints someone came out and determined the ac unit was NOT bolted into the ceiling correctly which mean it could have fallen on anyone in our home, created a fire etc. Just beyond unsafe. If you value your life, stay away from ANY Coughlin property. We talked directly to the manager in Denver, and he even failed to do his job.

Stay far away! Absolutely horrible apartments. Don't be fooled by renovated apartments. It was like putting perfume on a pig. If you love hearing loud running water all winter long. Then this is the place for you. They use an old boiler system that has to be switched from heat to AC every season. You do not control that! My apartment flooded many times, ruining many of my items. This place could care less. Maintence would forget to empty the boiler system when switching to AC. Once you turned on AC, the apartment would flood. Pool never worked. Communication was horrible. My deck was very old and rotten. Fell thru a board because it was so rotten. They came and fixed the board, but not any around it. Very unsafe! Parking was an absolute nitemare. Be prepared to park in surrounding neighborhoods. Maintence would leave appliances all over for weeks at a time! Look elsewhere! Don't be taken advantage of!

We have lived here nine years. There have been changes in ownership, management and support staff. What is important to note is that regardless of those changes the place inpsires a sense of community. It is safe, beautiful and the Managr and his staff make the place feel like home. bonterra is a place to renew your spirit.

I moved out - after having paid my rent a full week in advance for 15 months EVERY MONTH I was there. I was told by April that my apartment would "meet deposit return requirements for sure BECUASE IT WAS SO PERFECTLY KEPT" after she came and looked at it with Iris before I moved out. At that same visit April said she wanted my king size bed (free from me to her) I HAVE YET TO GET MY DEPOSIT BACK AND WILL BE SUING IN SMALL CLAIMS!!!!! I have never been to small claims in my life! CANNOT BEIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING.

If I could give this place less than a star I would. STAY AWAY. The first month I lived there I had to put in 4 maintenance requests for my fridge alone. The front office staff is incredibly RUDE and trust me, they will not get back to you. Also, good luck getting your security deposit back, and the RIGHT amount. They took out a couple hundred dollars for...guess what...NO ONE KNOWS. They can't even give an answer. Guess Christmas came early. By far the WORST place I have ever lived.

The absolute worst place I’ve ever lived. and no, I will not be providing my real name as I still live on the property. I fear legal retaliation when I move out. The property manager is a puppet for this apartment corporation and cares only about protecting herself. This place has repeatedly provided unsafe living conditions for myself and my neighbors. Please, stay away from here. Don’t get trapped into the initial charm by the property manager. As soon as there’s a problem with your unit, no matter the slightest cause, the property manger will view it as the worst inconvenience in her life and will prolong a solution for as long as possible. Again, if you value your family and property security, stay far away from this place.

Leaky sink took 2 weeks to be addressed. Leaky ceiling still going 6 weeks in. Edit. Been here almost 4 months. They are not going to fix the AC that is leaking I am emptying a 5 gal container daily. Oh and the pool has a heater but they never bothered to install it and the pool was "vandalized" so no more access to the almost frozen water the rest of the season.(Aug) The one time I used the pool mid-day I lost feeling in my toes.

All I have to say is thank goodness for Miss April the new property manager. The previous property manager did not do a thing that helped his tenants. He knew our ac was broken and kept sending vendors to say the same thing “need to buy new parts” and Derek never ordered the parts to fix it. I’ve lived here for 2.5 years and was not planning to renew my lease in this apartment that had no ac since it would get dangerously hot. However now that April is here I will be renewing! She has gone above and beyond for us and I can’t thank her enough ! She knows I work from home and have pups who were overheating. She took action immediately! I’m so thankful for her and will definitely be renewing now that we have a property manager who cares.

I went for a tour a few days ago and I am really considering renting here. The view is amazing but what I loved the most was how polite and informative Iris the lady who toured me around was. I told her how important it was for me to be able to have trail close by where I can go run at and she went out of her way to walk me to the trail right behind it by the lake. Her customer service was just on point.

TLDR: MILITARY PERSONNEL BEWARE--garage is NOT free unless you fulfill the length of your lease; most importantly, PCS or deployment military orders will NOT protect you from this. If you do not fulfill the length of your lease, they will either keep your security deposit or will back-charge you the $100/month garage rent fee. We actually really loved living here and would have praised it highly. This was a terribly unfortunate end to our stay, and so cannot help but poorly review it to hopefully save some of our military from being tricked into losing money, especially during our current economy. We moved in initially anticipating a stay of only 13 months. I made it clear this was our intention, and asked if we should limit the lease to this length or simply agree to the maximum length of 15 months and provide military orders if/when needed to break the lease early. We were told this was no problem at all. However, turns out what we were NOT told was that we'd owe back the $100/month garage accession fee regardless of how we broke our lease (military orders or otherwise) before the full term. Although paying on a monthly basis is more expensive, we would have opted for that option and signed a 13-month lease instead if Bonterra had been transparent regarding the garage concession terms. Perhaps it was an oversight of the previous management. And there's no denying that it was our responsibility as tenants to read the fine print. However, every military member understands the stress of a PCS move and the virtual inability to read each and every word of a contract; we depend in part on the transparency of those with whom we agree to do business. Regardless, this is an inexcusable breach of integrity; MILITARY BEWARE.

I moved into bonterra back last September with my spouse and her roommate. Since then the old property manager Derrick was rude and never serviced anything. My spouse had told me the ac did not work prior to me moving in and that Derrick said he was going to fix it but never did. Now we have a new property manager April who has gone above and beyond to help us since she knows my spouse works from home and we have long haired dogs who have been overheating this summer since no ac. April has been amazing and has helped resolved all our issues that the old manager Derrick did not care about. April has been amazing and is the best manager by far ! With this new experience I will definitely be renewing

We have lived here about a year now and it is one of the most beautiful apartments my wife and I have lived in. The new Management April is incredible! She's beginning work on all kinds of updates to the property to make it even more beautiful than before! The surrounding area is wonderful if you have children as well if you enjoy fishing or spending time at a lake the property has a private trail right down to the lake. I will continue living here for years to come and I believe if you're looking for a wonderful and peaceful home you some come be our neighbors as well!

I have had a great experience. I am military and had to find a place fast. I called and Iris told me to come down anytime and we could tour. I showed up 30 min later and 3 hours later, I was given the keys to my new home. April and Iris worked together to get all of my information and lease signed. David the maintenance man went back into the apartment and made sure everything was ready to go. Gary the other maitenance man took care of getting my keys and garage remote. This office moved like a military machine with teamwork. I moved in 2 weeks ago and am very happy with my decision. Thank you for making my PCS to Colorado less stressful.
