This place was not that great. To be clear, the facility and food wasn’t great. Every employee we interacted with was absolutely awesome, and even our waiter was very quick to catch when a refill on drinks was needed, and was prompt to do it. But this restaurant is in desperate need of an upgrade or a renovation if they have any hope of pandering to a larger customer base. Having been here, I personally wouldn’t go back, and I’m a stickler for Golden Corral. My husband saw a small cockroach near the bathroom when we first arrived. We were traveling from out of state, so we had been driving for several hours when we stopped to eat. I also went to the bathroom and the hall area where the bathrooms are smelled absolutely awful. The bathrooms weren’t terrible cleanliness wise, but overall just looked grungy. The food wasn’t really worth the $22/person pricing. While the restaurant staff aren’t at fault for this, someone took a bite out of a cookie and put it back in the cookie tray, which did make me wonder how often they’re checking the food that’s out. Around this time we called it good and headed out. 2 stars because the staff really were so nice, and I can’t express enough how great they were! But I wouldn’t eat here again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone either. Not without some major issues addressed.

This was such a pleasant experience. An all you can eat buffet including steak (sirloin), barbecue, chicken, shrimp, salad bar, potato bar, soups, chili, and a multitude of desserts: icecream, cakes, cheese cake, fudge, brownies, cookies, and all kinds of toppings. Everyone found something delicious to suit their tastes. Our waitress was so attentive and helpful with refreshing our drinks and clearing the table of used plates. Our large party of 5 adults and 4 children were able to find comfortable seating. Thank you Golden Corral for a great time.

The food was good. It was a little crowded on a Saturday afternoon. The place was very warm. Apparently they are planning to remodel soon. We were told in September. A friend we went there with said he saw air conditioning units lined up outside. I wonder if they are planning to wait to do anything about their lack of cooling until the remodel. That's a good portion of a hot Columbia summer for customers to have to endure the heat inside. My friends and I were all sweaty by the time we finished eating.

I'm a big fan of Golden Corral and the one on Forest Drive in Columbia has never disappointed me. I usually just grab some food to go, but I have eaten inside at least on 1 occasion and the service was very good. The food is delicious, the price is right and the options are plenty.

The food tastes like someone's grandma is in the kitchen. The waitress was very courteous and tended to her tables very well. She even had my children's attention in a calm and polite manner. That isn't common so I greatly appreciated that with that FOOD!

My family and I visited this Golden Corral for the first time since the pandemic. There were 11 of us altogether. The waiter was very nice and patient. He was also very good about clearing the plates and refilling drinks. I wish I could remember his name. Anywhoo, it was a nice experience. The food was fresh and tasty and there was a lot of it even though it was close to closing. I would recommend eating here if you're on a budget and want plenty of delicious choices! The Women's bathroom was out of order but there were mobile bathrooms outside that were clean and spacious (not your typical portal potty), and it was also wheelchair accessible and large enough to manage if that is your circumstance. A great temporary solution. Beware of all the sweets! Lol 🥴

At $10/lb for Sunday takeout, we paid d*mn near $5 for two hunks of fat.

The line moved relatively smoothly during the Mother's Day lunch rush. The food was very good. The staff was polite and cordial. The ladies' room was a little sloppy, and only one hand cleaner had soap. It would be good if they could have an attendant recheck the bathrooms every other hour when there is such a large crowd on a holiday weekend.

Came here after my daughter's Army graduation ceremony at Fort Jackson. The staff was very friendly to her and her battle buddies. After a handful of graduated soldiers trickled in, they made an announcement over the intercom congratulating them. They are probably accustomed to this every week, but it meant a great deal to us. The food was fresh and kept replenished. Tasty and Thought the waitstaff was busy they made sure to check if we needed anything. Thank you.

One of the nicest Golden Corrals that I have been to. Beef stew was really good and salad bar is also amazing. Betsy is such a sweetheart. She went out of her way to make sure that my family and I had a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend eating at this buffet , but make sure you come hungry.

There was a line when we got there (Thanksgiving), but it moved quickly. We were impressed with how prepared staff was for the crowd. Food was plenty and delicious, servers were friendly and attentive. Kudos to Golden Corral, and many, many thanks to staff for working on a holiday so other families could meet and eat together.

For a buffet it couldn't get better. A wide variety of options, different types of meats, vegetables, etc. I go every blue moon, and have been going for many years and will continue to go. The service was great from the moment we walked in. Everyone was friendly. The food stayed fresh. They kept the table cleared and the drinks fresh. If you're looking for a buffet I definitely recommend.

We went here after Fort Jackson graduation day. It was extra busy as every newly minted soldier (it seemed) was here with their families. Despite that, the food was hot and fresh. Our server, Veronica, deserves 10 stars for her beyond outstanding service. She was, in my opinion, the MVP of the day. I suggest the steak burger and fried chicken. The chicken was hot and juicy, and the kitchen made sure there were no shortages. The chicken fingers were really good, too. I suggest cutting them into small pieces and mixing them with the mashed potatoes and brown gravy. Delicious. And save room for the desert bar. Lots of good stuff there!

The food was good. They were very busy due to a Fort Jackson graduation. They had issues with the bathrooms. Work was being done on the ladies' room. I believe I would have scheduled the work at night.

Great buffet restaurant! Delicious food at a fair price. Nikki is one of the best servers we've ever had, attentive, friendly and polite. Overall pleasant dining experience.

Place is a little grimey but... Foods GOOD. Rolls are on point and the service is OKAY hit or miss. But you serve yourself so I mean it's fine. Bread pudding is to die for. Steaks are tasty Fish is good Potatoes are solid. Not a huge fan of the AGE of the building showing itself inside. But so far so good.

It was a very impressionable one being that it was my first time joining my family there. I have eaten in several of the Golden Coral restaurants and have always been pleased. However I believe it's time for a renovation or newly built one after getting a closer look to some parts inside and outside of the structure. I think someone should look into this matter and further discuss it with the appropriate team. Thank you for this opportunity to share more about my experience. Very satisfied with the presentation of the buffet. Well stocked with more options than I have seen at other locations. I'm not sure if the buffet menus are standard at all locations or if it varies by different areas; however, this Location is on point 👉 Great job 👍👍

Had dinner here the other day. It's been awhile since we've been here. Their price is reasonable but the drink is not included if you want a drink it is extra. There lunch price runs until 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday then it goes to dinner price but if you're there before 4:00pm you still are entitled to get dinner on Sunday it's all day dinner price. They have a good variety of food to choose from. They have a salad bar with an assortment of different toppings you can put on your salad. Their menu changes a little bit depending on the day you go. They have steak after 4:00 p.m. and they also have a make your own taco spot. They also had cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, cooked mushrooms yams, baked potato, Mac and cheese, lasagna, hot rolls, make your own fajitas, soup depends on the day what they serve and chili these are a few of the things they have they also have many more. They have a large variety of dessert as well hot apple pie, regular apple pie, pecan pie, chocolate cake, cheesecake, fudge, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, they also have soft serve ice, cream vanilla, chocolate. Make your own slushies which is included.

This was the best meal in a long long time. We truly got our moneys worth. Everything was excellent love the vegetable selection and it was very clean all good was hot and ready no waiting. Enjoyed our meal!! It was for 2 people and we both thought it was great!! Will definitely be back!!

I took my daughter to eat here for her birthday dinner and the food was awesome! The whole atmosphere was so welcoming and friendly! Props to the hard working cooks and our awesome waiter, Cedric! You guys are all doing it right! Thank you for a great dining experience!

We got in late from a trip and had to get dinner. It was close to quitting or closing time for the restaurant. They let us come in get our food and sit down and eat. It was past time for them to complete their jobs but they made sure we had every thing we needed to complete our meal with no rush or pressure. Everyone worked well together to do a very pleasing job. I love this restaurant and the service they provide. This is not my first time dinning with them. I have chosen them many times in the past. Even when I visit other states. Continue the good work that you are doing.

Very pleased with the price of the meal and that tea is free for seniors during the time we were there. A good variety of very tasty food. We will be back! The only complaint is that the waiter seemed more occupied with cleaning off tables and sweeping than he did keeping us supplied with tea. At one point, I had to ask for tea and it took him a few minutes to bring it over. He needs to take more note of his customers drink needs.

Ate with a large group of people. The food was very tasty. I do not enjoy buffets especially since the beginning of COVID19, but did so this time because of socializing with the group after our visit to God's Acre Healing Springs. In defense of buffet dining, Golden Corral had excellent food and service.

Great experience for my family. We were a group of 11, found seating together no problem. Our server was super sweet and the food was good. Only negative comment is the ladies restaurant needs maintenance, but it was clean.

In terms of buffets, this restaurant had good servers that kept our drinks filled and tables clean. The food was reasonable, nothing flashy, but all tasted good. My personal favorite was the bourbon chicken, which I added to their macaroni and cheese. This is a bit away from home, but I would definitely consider eating here the next time I am in the area.

Went after Church so we expected it to be busy but plenty of food was available and was all very tasty. The right side of the restaurant was very warm compared to the entrance where the AC was blowing nice. A lot of the desserts were empty and had to wait to be replaced. Pot roast was amazing! For the price it would be great if drinks were included.
