Tacos were fantastic. Giving it 4.5 stars overall. Ordered food to go. Seemless pickuo no issues. Tacos had lots of toppings and items. My only complaint is there was some sauce they used but it kinda drwoned the taco. A little less sauce might go a long way. I would gladly order again and make that request. There was plenty of seating indoor that I saw. You'll have to park on the steet as theres no parking lot.

The new brick and mortar is fabulous! Food was fresh, good and the service was amazing! Great unique, flavorful food. Went for a lunch meeting and will for sure be back.

This place is outrageously good. Seriously some of my favorite food Downtown. Bowls, fries, donuts, tacos...you'd think with so many menu items something would be lacking but that is NOT the case. Everything is so flavorful and filling, and can accommodate dietary restrictions. You can tell there's a lot of care put into the place and the food! Great people too, and they just launched their happy hour/drink specials. A perfect lunch spot or stop for dinner before a show.

House Taco was a hidden gem for me. I did a tour of the State House and as it ended I decided to check out House Taco in the basement of the building. The barbacoa taco was so good that I returned the following day and tried out the fish taco. Both were delicious and tasted so fresh, and Zack the owner and staff were friendly and helpful. Would love to see them open a place in Worthington.

I got the street corn nachos with yam yam's, I highly recommend. I found the dish flavorful with a kick (if you don't like spice this does have a bit of heat.) My food was delivered via Door Dash and I was highly satisfied with the quality, flavor, and portion.

This place is great! It's in the basement of the Ohio State House, but they do curbside ordering too. I had a taco salad and a Mexican coffee, both delicious 😋 I stopped back in later to grab some of their housemade margarita mix too!

Stopped by today and am glad I did! This was the most flavorful Mexican I’ve had downtown. Their Crunch Magic Tacos are exactly that - Magic! Their seasoned tortilla chips are a welcomed unique spin, and their chorizo is off the charts! Give them a try asap!

Excellent food and service! Great tasting tacos and vegetarian options are available. The Yam Yam tacos was very flavorful. You can’t go wrong with any of the menu items. I especially recommend the Stuffed Chiles as the appetizer, and the doughnuts as dessert! Joseph and Matt were incredible! They were awesome and very attentive!

We stopped in so rushed and needing to get in and out in 20 minutes before a show. The staff was exceptional, kind and very willing to work with our ridiculous schedule. The food and margs were phenomenal - yam yam tacos are a high recommend - I just wish we would’ve had time to really enjoy them. Check this place out. So great!

Co-worker and I were in town for business and after a Google search for a taco place found this one. It's a bit tricky to find, actually inside the Statehouse but the food was amazing! The owner was really nice and helpful. Tacos are really big and a great value! Nachos were also amazing. Worth finding parking for and figuring out how to get to!

Absolutely love this place. Great authentic and tasting Mexican within walking distance of my work. Owner likes to come out and talk with us and make sure we are taken care of. Might be the new Friday lunch spot!

The chips and queso they had on the first day, delicious. Whatever seasoning they uses on the chips is really good. Service was slow but to be expected on their first day. My crunch magic taco was a little too messy for my liking but it had a great taste. The OG Taco with pork is really good and I like that they give pickled onions on the side. The lemonade is really good too

This place is so good! I think it’s the best Mexican food I’ve had in Columbus. Everything had a lot of flavor and the staff are nice. Highly recommend!

I always stop in the cafe when I am at the Statehouse. Typically buy a bottle of water and maybe a bag of chips because of dietary parameters but House Taco (the new business in this space) was able to accommodate my diet and wow, enjoyed a wonderful, hot meal! Thank you so very much!!

This is the best kept secret in the Statehouse, which is open to the public. It's the best taco spot downtown. Bar none.

Have had House Taco twice now. I have to say this place is really great. The food is fantastic, with very fresh ingredients. The flavors are better than any other place I have had in Columbus. If you aren’t familiar with how House Taco started, read it in their page, it’s a really interesting story. It’s great to see how far they have come. We had a question about gluten and called up before we ordered on Toast. They were very friendly and helped us out! I highly recommend!!

It was good, but no one wore gloves. My coworker ordered nachos without onions, they accidentally put onions, then the worker dug with his bare hands into the nachos to remove the onions lol They had a box of gloves just no one used any.

Tried to order through UberEats. While, I understand, it’s not this restaurants fault that drivers can’t find the location. However, maybe it is. I ordered at 8:08pm, restaurant closes at 9pm. So, they closed, and the drivers couldn’t get my order. 4 drivers tried, before I was refunded. Maybe in the future, this location could shut everything down early, and not take orders, so they can serve those that want their food. This was my first, and last time I will order from Taco House. I never received my food. And, at this point, I have no desire to try them now.

Have heard amazing things about this place but never stopped in. Wasn’t expecting the metal detector and police for the entrance in the state building but once I cleared. The owner was super cool and friendly. And the tacos I got here dynamite! Will definitely make it a regular spot.

Great place. The Food was amazing. Joseph was friendly. The server although I can't remember his name was very personable and accommodating. Most of all when I do come back to the Columbus Ohio area I will stop by again...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at House Taco, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere exuded welcoming vibes. It's clear that the owners have put thought and care into creating the space. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding an extra layer of comfort to the meal. Their genuine smiles and helpfulness truly enhanced the overall experience. What really stood out to me was the freshness of the food. It's refreshing to find a place that values quality ingredients and doesn't try to overcomplicate a street taco. Each bite was a testament to their commitment to authenticity. While I look forward to the day they secure their liquor license, I have no doubt that it will elevate an already outstanding experience. This is a newer spot that has already established itself as a gem in the neighborhood.

If you are looking for a casual, inexpensive but high quality place to grab a bite in down town cbus I highly recommend checking this place out! Everything is made in house and you can tell that so much care is put into every element of every dish. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out asap. Highly recommend the stuffed poblano and crispy rice appetizers, the punch dream and old old fashioned and the donuts!!! 😋
