Lovely!! Had appointments scheduled for a wedding where we all got our hair done and were happy with the final outcomes, friendly staff, and atmosphere! There’s a coffee truck outside and you can buy vegan pastries inside as well which adds to the uniqueness. The “vegan” in the salon refers to none of their products including ingredients such as honey, etc. I barely knew what I wanted with my hair but I trusted my stylist and she even gave me tips on how to help my curls make it through the whole day!

Before I left Columbus, I was a regular here and saw Louie, and one time got color done from Dessi. Louie ruined haircuts for me after I left- no one could measure up! I found myself saving my haircuts for whenever I made trips back to Columbus because Louie is legit just SO GOOD. And Dessi was PHENOMENALLY TALENTED. Come here.

Moved to the Columbus area in 2019 and have been on the hunt for a salon I vibe with since. I think I finally found it. When the day of my original appointment arrived they called to reschedule due to a last minute emergency (no big deal), the date we selected had to move again this time for a scheduling conflict I had. Throughout this experience they were so kind and helpful. When I rescheduled the second time I got an appointment with Eileen! She was absolutely AMAZING! She asked lots of questions before beginning my cut to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, and continued to ask questions throughout. When it was all done my hair turned out EXACTLY how I wanted. Today I styled myself for the first time since my cut and it looks just like the pictures I showed her and what we discussed. 1000% coming back. Thank you!

Had an amazing first experience at Virtue. My stylist was Lindsay and she really listened to my concerns about my hair and the general things I wanted/didn’t want. I told her the couple things I wanted to avoid and then gave her freedom to do what she wanted with my hair and it turned out great. She was very familiar with working with my hair texture (very fine and straight) She also helped me through the products I would need and how to properly use them. The whole experience was very good, and the communication was excellent. I also spent less than I thought I would. I’ll definitely be coming to Virtue for all my future hair needs.

i’ve been going to virtue since 2016 and unfortunately the vibes are just rancid there now. prices for services have almost doubled, and the customer service is less passive and more aggressive. virtue left me an aggressive voicemail stating that i would be charged for missing an appointment i never made. i did have an appointment booked for a different date, which virtue confirmed they had record of. after agreeing not to charge me for the appointment i didn’t make, they cancelled my actual appointment without telling me. i only found out because i was so uncomfortable with how it was handled that i felt i had to cancel. this review is not for the management there, as they have already decided they don’t want my business which is fine. i look forward to a snarky response from management again here. take a look at how they respond to other unhappy clients.

Virtue is great! The decor is unique; the atmosphere is very relaxing. I went to Lillian and she has such a calming personality! You can tell she’s confident and loves what she does. She gave me the exact haircut I envisioned. 10/10, a Clintonville gem

I love Virtue Salon! I've been going to the Clintonville location for years. I've been helped by a lot of the hairdressers here. Lillian is my favorite though, I see her if I can. I always get balayage done, I'm very low-maintenance with my hair. I like it to be blended really well, so I can ideally let it grow out quite a bit before going back, lol. Lillian always does a beautiful and detailed job when she does my hair and I really appreciate that care. I love that this salon is all vegan and more environmentally conscious that most places you get your hair done. They also always have vegan snacks and drinks you can buy up front! So, that's definitely a win! 😊

Love this local salon, always so helpful and if you go in with something needing fixed in a hurry they cant do enough to help. Been going for the past 6 months and i love my stylist, tried something new with my styling last time i couldnt make it work and had to pop back in early one morning to have my bangs adjusted before i went on a work trip and they had me in and out in 10 minutes. Cannot reccomend them enough. Shannon is an absolute gem and sits down with you before your appointment to go through everything you are looking to do and help figure out how it will work on your specific hair, she went through all of the best adjustments to make to make a style work for my lifestyle and ability and it means i feel great about thei hairstyle because i know how to keep it looking its best.

My favorite salon! They keep the environment in mind which I really appreciate (all vegan). I refuse to go anywhere else, I always leave feeling amazing and so well put together. Love this place!! Cannot recommend it enough!

Quality salon with transparent pricing. I booked a consultation for a root touch-up and re-gloss and the stylist recommended I go with a "lower level" (i.e., newer, but still fully trained) stylist to save money. The level 2 stylist was great! My hair looks and feels lovely.

I’ve meant to write a review here for a while because this salon deserves it. Skyler has been my stylist since I’ve been coming to N high st location for about a year for routine maintenance. I’ve always had an eclectic style and struggled finding a stylist that would work with my particular image for myself. She’s gotten to know what I want with my hair so well that I feel I can put full trust in her when it comes to what she thinks I’ll like best. I can’t speak for all stylists here but I get the impression that with everyone here you can build a relationship with stylists for your personal needs. I’ve seen some people express that the prices here are high for a salon but as someone who has frequented quality salons, their prices are fantastic for each level of hairdresser they offer.

Lillian fixed a really bad, expensive haircut from an a "top notch" salon. She listened and offered suggestions. I do not like to fuss with my hair, but I need to look professional. Lillian gave me a wash and wear style that has an edge but I can still wear at work. I couldn't be happier!

Love this place! All the haircuts and styling I've gotten from here has been super cute, and they're very attentive and gentle with my hair. Naturally wavy asian hair is a little unusual but they're really good at caring for it!

I usually love this salon and have had great experiences in the past. The staff is very friendly and I love the environment. Unfortunately, yesterday I left the salon with a haircut that I've been crying over for 24 hours. The stylist cut it way shorter than we agreed upon. It was supposed to be cut to my collarbone and doesn't even reach my shoulders - a very unflattering length for someone with a round face like myself. To make matter worse, it's not even long enough for my to put up in a ponytail/bun to hide the damage - even though I said I still wanted it long enough to be able to put it up. My confidence is nonexistent after this haircut. Needless to say, it will be a while before I book my next appointment. It's a shame because I love the salon. Hairstylists please listen to your clients!

I was to have my haircut there today, but my person had an emergency and had to cancel. The salon offered me an appointment wuth a different stylis, but not at the same price. I think that the win-win would have been to honor my booking's price. They would not have lost my business if they did.
