This hotel is advertised as “upscale”, if only the rooms reflected that. I don’t think they pay their housekeeping staff enough for what they have to do. The lobby, yes, very grand and beautiful, but unfortunately the cleanliness of rooms leaves a lot to be desired. The staff here—phenomenal!! You won’t find a friendlier, sweeter bunch!

I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in a lot of cities, but this one is a little special. So many cool places nearby within a 10-minute walk. A good restaurant attached. (Especially for breakfast.) such cool decor. Rooms weren’t atypical but definitely were above average. And I’ve rarely seen a hotel staff have so much fun. The only concern — and it’s not a small one — is the train that goes by across the street a couple times a night, horn a-tootin’. Its loud. It’s not great. And it detracts for an otherwise excellent stay.

UPDATE: I received a call from a member of the staff who apologized for the situation. That, to me, was enough of a resolution. She offered a couple complimentary things. But, I felt reassured enough that they reached out. The hotel really is nice and conveniently located to great downtown restaurants and Brewing companies just a short walk away. During last night's rainfall as i was sleeping, water started leaking from the entire top edge of the window. Woke up to find half my room's floor with water. Fortunately, they provide the room with lots of towels. I used all of them to dry the floor and then set them on the window ledge to catch what was still leaking. When I notified the front desk of the situation, I got a blank stare, followed with, "O h, we'll let housekeeping know." Then they thanked me for informing them. WRONG ANSWER! The first words out of their mouths should have been, "Sorry that happened. We'll get you into another room." Unbelievably poor service. Thankfully, I only have two more nights.

I remember when this hotel was being built in the early 80s. Staying here as a resident was great experience during a tough time. From Shay's warm welcome to the desk manager Cassandra seeing me off at checkout, I felt like ROYALTY. I'll be back.:)

Stopped in Columbus unexpectedly with my wife and child. It was very late and we were exhausted from multiple flights and several hours of driving. Brianna and Brenda took such great care of us and got us a room and checked in faster than I expected. Thank you ladies, you made my family feel welcomed and cared for!

This was a not-so-good experience. First, no water in a room where the fee was $175 per night. When we called to ask about was the receptionist seemed surprised that there was no water and stated that there was some at the front desk as if to say we needed to come down and get it. I asked why I should be inconvenienced for something that should be in the room already. The next night, again no water! We had to make sure we stopped by the front desk again the next night to ask for water because still there was none in the room. Also, upon leaving the room for the day we encountered individuals standing outside the hotel smoking weed. The sheets were stained. This was indeed a Motel 6 experience and we will not be returning to this particular location.

We stay at this Marriott every time we come to Columbus. Location is perfect and convenient to places/offices we need access to. Well-appointed, quiet guest rooms. We enjoy utilizing the comfortable, well-stocked M Room (where the service is outstanding), and we appreciate the convenient Houlihan's restaurant inside this Marriott, too. Delicious breakfast buffet and great lunch/dinner menu options, as well.

The front desk staff, bellman, M Lounge crew and housekeepers were wonderful. They were friendly, helpful had a great attitude. The hotel rooms are beautiful and the grounds are well taken care of.

Lovely property on the south end of the Columbus river walk district located in a renovated grist mill. M Club on site along with Houlahans Restaurant. Plenty of free on-site parking. Spacious rooms.

Today is 11-3-23 6:57am. The cook just mde a great breakfast sandwich. The fried dice potatoes were delicious. "Thank-you!"

I visited Columbus Marriott not to stay but to apply for employment. I have to say during this visit, every employee I encountered or observed was very pleasant, friendly and professional. The customer relations I observed were very respectful and quick to offer assistance. The hotel was quiet, peaceful, immaculent and beautifully maintained, offering great amenities including valet svc, an in-house restaurant and lounge and plenty of parking. I was more than impressed and feel if you want the experience of royal treatment this would be the place to be!

This hotel is a 10 out of 10 for my wife and I. The Staff was beyond exceptional. Especially my hostess whose hometown is Hattiesburg, MS. Giving you a Shout-Out. The in-house restaurant was great also. The rooms were great and the location was good also. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re coming to this city. We’ll be back next month.
