Let's start off with some of the cons of this place, the houses are in fact old, they have done a good job cleaning them up, but there are still problems that comes from having old housing. Our basement floods during heavy rain, the drains are easily cloged, and you will need to invest in window ac units because during the summer you will have your very own sauna. One thing that bothers me probably more than it should, they have fitness center on their website under amenities. THERE IS NO FITNESS CENTER, they say they have been working on it, which is fine, but when I call every couple months to get an update only to be told it got pushed back over and over for over a year, simple fix, stop advertising you have a fitness center, you do not. Half of the apartments have new screen doors, ours has an old broken metal one with the screen tore, I reached out only to be told they will not do anything for it, they offered to remove the existing one. But made it clear they would not be replacing it. Here are some of the pros. It really is a park like setting, plenty of open space, nice residents, NO ONE STEALS, from what I can tell at least. We leave stuff outside and nothing ever goes missing. We have had neighbors leave packages on the porch for a week and it stays there. Also there are playgrounds, dog parks, and they just added disk golf nets in one of the fields. It feels safe, clumps of kids running around shoeless and happy, it really is a nice place to live. There is a bike path nearby which Is nice. If you pester the maintenance they respond pretty quickly. They also updated all the windows. I can only speak for my own experience, but when lease renewal came up, it was easy and unlike some other places, our rent did go up, but it was only around $40. Just in case you're like me and see the airport nearby and are worried, don't be, iv never once been inconvenienced by any noise pollution, not to say there is zero but it is a smaller airport. Overall, I do like these townhomes. I will raise this review by 1 star when they either take the gym off the list, or open it. Edit, It has been a year since I last posted this and the fitness center is still non-existent and is still listed as an amenity. Its park like and a wonderful place to live. They put a lot into keeping the place looking decent and its very safe. Lots of warehouse work in the area. Not much can be delivered out here for food but there are definitely options. Internet options are good and fast(we use spectrum). Edit #2, they finally announced a month ago that the only thing needing finished was the key fob system which would take "1 to 2 weeks". Here we are, a month later, they had an open house for the new office, no mention of the center.

I am leaving this review because I feel that steeplechase has made a much needed improvement over the last 5 years since I have lived here. I enjoy living here for all the right reasons 1, it’s like living in the country with peace and quiet, but only 10 minutes from downtown Columbus. 2, the common areas are maintained with great respect to the residents. 3, the maintenance department are very good at maintaining the property at a high level of concerns and confidence thanks to staff Mark and Donnie. 4, the property manager Mary has been a perfect example of how a property should be managed she has done some wonderful things that has helped make steeplechase a great place to live. I will be signing another lease when it’s time.

Absolutely HORRENDOUS!!!! Every single unit has mold leaking rooves windows that won't shut or don't open. Maintenance fixes NOTHING. Basement flood with feet of water and sewage. Mary in the office is the biggest *see you next Tuesday* I have ever met. They raise the rent without warning. They just evicted a man that has been here for 32 years and never late on rent to make his apartment a section 8 unit. He has no where to go. DO NOT MOVE HERE on top of that the crime here is INSANE!!!! At least 15 cars stolen this year alone. Units broken into people shooting as anything. Stay away. Not worth it. I was here for 2 years. Glad I'm gone.

It has been changing with mgmt and ownership for the better! We have been here almost five years and love our little townhome. The yards are taken care of, we have flowers out front and back. Office staff is helpful and nice to deal with. Recent is decent, there’s a dog park now and a playground for kiddos. It’s also a safe neighborhood for me to get my walks in during the morning or afternoons.

Just love my son and his little family living here. Monika & Mary are very compassionate and just always pleasant. I will always recommend Steeplechase to everyone.

We have lived here since 2009. We have 2 boys that go to Hamilton elementary. We have had no problems here. Our townhome is spacious and affordable. All management personnel as well as the maintenance staff is exceptional and friendly. They are willing to help in any situation. This is a great place to call home.

Monica and Mary In the front office, Do everything they can to help keep this place clean and nice. This is a nice little neighborhood with a great community backing. The residents hear do absolutely everything they can to make sure that this community stays As good as it was back in the day. I have not had any problems here and absolutely love the neighborhood that i'm.

Overall I genuinely love my apartment, it’s great in size, decent price. Out of the city but not to far. I would definitely recommend based off my experience. Only issues I would say is, i’ve had some maintance requests i put in when i moved here in May, and they still haven’t been addressed. Nothing extremely major but would definitely make a difference being complete. Haven’t spoken to the office staff much, as I work the same hours and it’s hard to stop by, it difficult to get someone on the phone but they do tend to respond to emails within the day or next few days.
