👍👍 Awesome lil stop in the tiny town of Columbus NM! Lots to look at & the local curator James K was fantastic to chat with. Nice selection of souvenirs. So glad we stopped to stretch our legs on our long trip. This was an unexpected little gem. No regrets. Will keep this stop in mind on our next... People often mention museum,

Wonderful tiny museum run out of an old train depot. Fascinating. Run by friendly volunteers! Only open from 10 -1 and just week days I think

Full of history. So many memories in such a little space. The volunteer, a lovely lady, is full of knowledge that shares with visitors. Definitly, a must see! 😉

Very worthwhile experience going to the museum. I had no idea that the people from Columbus and reserve unit killed so many of Pancho Villas soldiers. Interesting they were more concerned with looting than securing the town of Columbus. Additionally I did not know Columbus was a major city in New Mexico at that time mainly because of the railroad however after the attack Columbus kind of went downhill in terms of population. If you haven't gone to the museum I would recommend it

Wonderful little museum. We were in town to see this museum, the Pancho Villa State museum and Fort Furlong. Leanna was awesome, sharing all the Pancho Villa story, and history of area. Building in incredible shape. Displays really informative. Well worth the drive.
