The staff is really nice, but they could be more clear about pricing. I called and asked in person at the appointment how much a retainer is and they told me it was $202 when I specified that I wanted both the bottom and top done. When I go to pay I got told that it is going to be $404 instead. If that is what it is for both arches, then that’s fine but I would have appreciated the total cost be presented upfront. I would probably go back, but be more careful about things like this in the future.

I have never had such a thorough dental check and cleaning. My hygienist Steven was fabulous. He made me feel comfortable the entire visit. Extremely knowledgeable and provided great patient education. Dr. Bauer was also fantastic. He spent a significant amount of time talking to me about my dental health and making sure that I understood the issues. The entire staff from front desk to dental chair were friendly and welcoming to me. I normally do not like going to the dentist; however, this group made it a pleasant experience. This is the way healthcare should be.

All I can say is Dr. Schumacher is one of the most patient and understanding dentists I have ever had. Yesterday I had to get a bridge and this was a VERY emotional decision for ME because it involved my front tooth and having to damage two teeth that were perfect. On top of that I literally smile ALL THE TIME. I have a very PUBLIC job and it's my smile that I rely on to meet the needs and comfort my constituents. I made the decision tearfully to get the bridge versus the implant because of cost. Dr. Schumacher comforted me, and not one time did he ever get an attitude or have an unpleasant disposition. He continually spoke to me in that soothing voice and restored my smile to PERFECTION!!! He is such an awesome dentist and truly a gem! I fell in love with him the first time I ever visited his practice in 2017. My self esteem has suffered since the loss of my front tooth and to now be restored with a beautiful smile is AMAZING. I can not leave out his assistant that worked with me yesterday. I really wish I could remember her name. She was like my personal angel and she also guided me through this process. She listened to me, wiped my tears, and helped me make this difficult decision without bias. I swear angels work there. Thank you everyone even the ladies at the front desk. All the shiny facets of the jewel that is Schumacher & Bauer (and crew!) encourage my enthusiastic “You gotta choose this dentist’s office!”. Have children? Bring them. Feel shy about your teeth? Come. If there is such thing as a dental spa (because one leaves in better health and the treatments make better smiles), Schumacher & Bauer is that. Expertise and care abound.

I know for myself going to the dentist hasn’t always been a pleasurable experience. I have had some bad experiences in the past; which has only increased my anxiety about the dentist. With that said… my experience with Dr. Bauer & the team at the office has been nothing but excellent. Pleasant, professionalism, knowledge & skill. I am thankful to trust myself & my husbands dental care to them.

I had my first experience with Schumacher & Bauer DDS today, they absolutely did not disappoint. Dr. Bauer and Jake are extremely thorough and professional, and personable. The office staff was excellent explaining billing! I can’t wait to go back for my next appointment with them!

Best dental office in Columbus. Heather is a phenomenal hygienist and Dr Schumacher has the experience and bedside manner to treat kings and queens. The staff is warm and friendly. A great way to start the day!

Thank you Drs. Schumacher and Bauer!!! After years of meticulous dental care from Dr. Schumacher I had a molar removed. It was very old (not telling my age) with a filling, root canal, and a gold crown. Dr. Bauer made this extremely uncomfortable situation as comfortable as possible. My first visit for a cleaning and checkup with Jake and Dr. Bauer was simply outstanding. I so appreciated Jake’s gentle, caring, and informative attention. Dr. Schumacher is terrific! He does excellent work, explains the process very clearly, and gives you a beautiful smile. I made the mistake of switching dentists closer to home so I could care for a loved one. After a bad experience I went back to Dr. Shumacher to fix a crown that the other dentist put on crooked. Very satisfied with Schumacher & Bauer, DDS.
