My husband and I came in for a late dinner from out of town. There were only 3 other tables seated and already eating. We ordered pulled pork nachos and a cheeseburger with fries. We waited almost 30 minutes for our food, and when it came, the guacamole on the nachos was brown from sitting in the window, there was no sour cream or salsa, and the very small amount of pulled pork was jerky dry. Despite having an issue, calling our server over to witness, and requesting a change on our ticket, we did not receive a visit from a manager. The bartender was also incredibly loud, shouting profanities to the other staff about closing their tickets so she could get out of there. Overall was unimpressed in all aspects and will not return.

Just tried this place for the first time. We ordered through GrubHub, and the delivery Driver forgot half of our order. The restaurant management noticed this, called me, and brought the order to us themselves. One excellent customer service! And, the food was very good too. Particularly liked the Reuben pizza. I can’t speak enough for how wonderful it was to see such great customer service. A place that cares this much about their customers deserves everybody to go and try them. And you will enjoy the food too!

Waited 7/10 minutes at the host stand while multiple employees looked over but never acknowledged that I am standing there just waiting to be seated. I understand if busy but there were 2 tables…that’s it. This is the company that bought Max & Erma’s and killed it, just save time and close your doors if you cannot handle 2 tables. I won’t waste my time again giving them a 2nd chance. I left and went to a neighbor restaurant that was more than happy for the business.

First time here. St. Patty’s Day - no wait and we got right in. Why? What’s wrong here? Well, as it turns out there was nothing wrong. Johnny was our fine server. One got Mackenzie chicken Alfredo, one got street tacos, I got Blue Onion BBQ burger. No complaints in fact it was great except the carnitas taco was tough and chewy she said. It took a little for the food to come but honestly, on a Friday night, it was a refreshing change of pace. Chicken club spring rolls appetizer was great. All in all we enjoyed it a lot. Good job!

This place has great appetizers. We got the black and Bleu steak bites. They were great. Very tender steak. Loved the gas fire features on the outside patio. Definitely adds to the atmosphere of the restaurant. When we arrived it was between lunch and dinner so it wasn't very busy and we got seated immediately. The server was great and took really good care of us. Staff was very friendly and attentive to all the guest as well. Nice place. Will be back.

Went to Mackenzie River Grill today for lunch with friends. We all ordered the spinach salad with chicken. The menu showed the protein add on for the small salad was $3 so I was surprised when our server told us that the menu was incorrect and that the charge would be $6 if we wanted the chicken warm or $3 if it was cold. Very surprised they charge based on the food temperature! When the bill came out, I was actually charged $7! I discussed with the manager and my bill was adjusted based on the menu pricing but thought I should make others aware of this. We were there a few weeks prior and did not have the same issue so it may be new for 2024 but they should consider updating their menu to reflect increases. We have decided we will not be going back in the near future.

I liked it very much. The menu is a little lighter than usual (I'm told) because of staffing, but I liked it very much. It's pretty much pub-fare with a bit of flare. They had quite a few micro-brews but I had a mixed drink & it didn't disappoint. I will definitely go back.

Rise and shine burger was good, preferred over bru burgers. I need to try out their signature pizzas next time.

Had no idea about this place, just so happened to drive by and it looked cool. So glad we ended up going. They have cups of goldfish to the kids to snack on, which is a great idea. The food was really good. Loved the feel inside. All around it was a great place to get dinner, we will be back when we are back in town.

This was my second time at Mackenzie River. What a great place! Me and two of my girlfriends met up for dinner tonight and were delighted to be served by Johnny. He was super good natured, friendly, and played along with our silliness for the duration of our visit. He was extremely attentive and made sure our water glasses were always full. Pictured below is the fantastic carrot cake that concluded our meal. Get thee to Mackenzie River! And ask for Johnny!!

We sat on the patio and it was nice. Our server was very nice. The food was not great. I had fish tacos, they were nothing to get excited over. My husband has probably tried a Ruben at every restaurant that we've ever gone to. When the menu says grilled, then it is expected to be grilled, not toasted. It was cold. After a couple of bites, my husband discharged a long hair that was cooked into the sandwich, which immediately made up both lose our appetite. Also, 8 dollars for a glass of beer is pretty rediculous. I guess we won't go back.

We love the atmosphere at this venue. I believe we went on an "off" day for the establishment, though, so I want to say that first. The server said one of her servers quit, and all the patrons showed up at once, inundating her. So I won't comment on the service. We were disappointed in the chili, however, because it came out on the cool side and had a bit more vinegar in it than we would like. The fries were nice, and the meat on the Reuben sandwich was crispy. I just think it was an off day for everyone there. It was very cold outside.

This place could have received 5 stars, but I do have to say, the service was extremely slow the night I was there. There were maybe 6 other tables in the restaurant and it took us about 40 minutes to get our food after we ordered. Unfortunately, we did have to take back one of our meals and the rest of the table was finished eating before the replacement was ever brought out. I know I can't blame the server, but the kitchen staff should have prioritized. The last of speedy service can be forgiven though as the food was delicious. I would go back for the food with a long wait time in mind.

Very cool, chill vibe type restaurant with some great food, plenty of parking and friendly service. Good beer selection. Their nachos, pizza and spicy chicken sandwich were all great. Salad is portioned well and good sauce varieties. They have a patio with firepits and garage doors that open up when the weather is nice. Good dim lighting creates a very cool atmosphere. Will def go back.

My burger was barely warm. My daughter's fish seemed to be overcooked unless it was cooked in older oil. My girlfriends nachos were mostly chips. At that price you would expect a little more toppings. My granddaughters meals seemed ok, maybe that's what I should have ordered. Good beer selection. Wait staff was very nice.

The hostess was great at meeting us. Big smile on her face when she greeted us. Kris, with a "K", was our server. What a wonderful person. Cordial, sense of humor and patiently answered all of our questions and gave us great service.

Great down to Earth place to eat. The food is always delicious and service good. But my favorite thing has to be the Smoked Old Fashioned, because not is it good but they smoke it in front of you.

My husband and I passed by this restaurant and we had never seen it before it's kinda hidden, having been to the Polaris area tons of times. We decided to try it out. We will be back. The atmosphere and decor are so cool and calming, the waitress was tactful and friendly, and the food was delicious! I got the meatloaf. My husband got the buffalo Mac and cheese. We always try each other's food and each was delicious! Now I want to try the other dishes. We will return.

Our first time there, and it won’t be the last! Todd was amazing… Food was delicious….. Brittany, the bartender made the best cocktails we’ve had in a long time….. Can’t beat the ambience. And don’t let me forget …the prices are very reasonable.

Great stout and a variety of other beers. In terms of food, they have a large menu ranging from burgers, main course salads and, of course, specialty pizzas. A favorite in our group was the Thai pizza.

We had dinner at this restaurant and we loved it ! The food was all very good and we didn’t have too long of a wait. Staff was friendly. The only negative I have is that they have 2 menus but we were given just one to order from- the other was in a book of desserts/ alcoholic drinks and we just happened to see it after ordering, and there were things that we would have ordered had we seen it. Not sure the reason for 2 separate menus ?? Bathroom was also not very clean. Other than this, the interior aesthetics, taste of the food, and price were all great ! We would come back !

Had a pleasant dinner here. It is pretty casual and well kept. Some staff seemed distracted despite being not very busy, but our waitress was very nice. It did take about 30 min for the food to come out but the waitress said she had asked the cook to redo one of our dishes as it was not up to par. Whether this was the case or they forgot, I don't know! But we were not in any hurry and the long dinner was actually very nice for us. Their pizzas are killer and their sandwiches are very good as well.

LOVE the atmosphere and happy hour food and drink specials. Great patio with fire pit and large bar area. The service is always very friendly and upbeat. The Cowboy Nachos and flatbreads are a must.

We came to town for a gymnastics tournament. We decided to stop at this place for lunch. Placed the order on or about 1pm. It was close to 3pm and the food was not served. We asked for the GM and were told that it was “cooking”. The worst service ever!! We were about to miss the flight back home and the kitchen, servers and everybody else did not care. think 3x before coming here. Yes, our party was big but given the time it was outrageous how we were treated

I’ll be honest. This place was terrible. After being told the wait would be 20 minutes we waiting over an hour to be seated. The food wasn’t great. fIsh should not be almost black and the skin should just fall off. The fish was just WAY too fine and crunchy. We also got the nachos that should’ve had queso and bell peppers and there was no queso and one single tiny square of bell pepper. Our waiter was nice but not too attentive to us and the rest of his tables. Honestly I’ll never come back here

The good: Excellent food. Friendly staff. Decent prices. Holiday specials. The bad: each of the three times I've been there, they were out of something. The stall in the men's room is broken (and has been at all three of my visits), but can still close and lock. The ugly: nothing, really. Overall, all my experiences have been almost entirely pleasant. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would.

The menu has significantly changed since the pandemic. Menu used to be great. Now it's just another flatbread and burger chain restaurant. They were definitely understaffed. The place wasn't busy on a Wed evening, yet it took 50 minutes for 2 burgers.

Why did I wait so long to eat here? A bunch of great sandwiches and specialty pizzas on the menu. There's really something for everyone's taste here. I'm not a vegetarian, but we got a pizza known as the "Sequoia," which had sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and pine nuts, with pesto sauce. It was delicious.

You guys really think that this is worth $19!? I tried you guys before. It wasn't great. But this? Hardly any corn beef or sauerkraut at all. And you're charging $19 for this? I've had many other Ruben pizzas and they're not $19. It was good though. Just not worth that kind of money

I was an employee at this location for over five years. I had such a love for my customers and my job. I saw through 6 different general managers over my time there, however I honestly believe the new management team will finally run this place into the ground. In February I made the choice to move on and use my degree in health care instead. Very bittersweet and I genuinely will be sad to see this place go, but I highly recommend you spend your hard earned money elsewhere where employees and customers are valued. Terrible company all around.

First time customer. Server Todd was excellent - energetic, accommodating, and engaged. Refills given quickly without needing to ask. Dirty dishes picked up by any staff who walked by, which is a sign of good training and team work. Food is solid and well priced. Dining room is very warm, bathrooms are freezing, but overall atmosphere is cozy. Would dine here again!

Such a wonderful evening with my family. The service to our large group was wonderful. Everything went very well, we had constant refills without asking, nothing had gone unattended, and the food was outstanding. I had a grilled chicken house salad and pretzels. I will definitely be back for the food and of course the wonderful service that came with it :) thank you for giving my family a great night

Great atmosphere. We went for burgers. Both were very salty and we probably should have sent them back. This is our second time here, and to be honest, the burgers the first time were perfect. I'll try them again on a different night and see if we get a different outcome. Other than that the experience was good.

One of the most well rounded restaurants I think I've had the pleasure of coming across. The food is breath taking and at a price you can't beat, same goes for the beer! They have an eccentric assortment of beers to choose from that you won't find at many other restaurants. Top it off with a very friendly staff and you have a very unique restaurant that stands above all the rest 🥳
