If you have not been here you need to go! Service and food quality were amazing. We were greeted promptly and was paired with an amazing server. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and reccomended great dishes as first time visitors. Appetizer and main dishes came out quickly and drinks were flavorful and strong. Highly recommended!

There are tons of good-looking South American dishes on the menu here. I tried the shredded chicken arepa -- every component had good flavor. The side of plantains came in a large portion and were exactly what I'd want: crispy edges, golden, and sweet. Their cilantro sauce can probably go with anything on the menu. The spicy version pairs perfectly with sweet plantains, but I wouldn't recommend it if you have low spice tolerance. The place is really spacious inside and can seat about 30 on the patio (with umbrellas, too). I'm more than happy to come back and dive deeper into the menu here. Ordering ahead online is a quick and convenient added perk!

Food is actually quite delicious. No 5 stars just because service seems to be a little hectic in terms of organization. Too many people just running around and no direction on addressing tables. They're helpful and nice just needs more organization. Again, food great, nothing negative on the food. Tad pricey for my taste but nonetheless probably a good date spot. I would gladly eat there again.

I went to dinner here with some colleagues while we were in town for a conference. They had some interesting dishes from other countries like pretty, Colombia, and Venezuela, that we haven’t seen at other restaurants, so we were excited to try something different. Our waitress was helpful with answering all of our questions about the menu. We loved the decor and atmosphere, and the food was delicious, so I’ll definitely stop the next time I’m in Columbus!

**Second review: Service was much faster this time but our server still seemed overwhelmed and the place was fairly empty. Food quality was still very high and we were satisfied with the quality and quantity. First review: Food was AMAZING but really slow, took about 30 mins for two fried apps and an arepa; however, everything was really, really good so the wait was kind of worth it. Our server was very nice but was slightly overwhelmed so we were left alone for awhile. That being said, we will return. I wish I would have taken pictures but we were ready to eat by the time the food hit the table.

If I can give Arepazo Tapas a 10 star I would. Very authentic. Arepazo is probably the most authentic Latin restaurant in the STATE of Ohio. ❣️I added peppermint leaves to my margarita because of the authentic flavor. Comfort food at it's finest. Just a little pricey on 1 single chicken taco at Happy Hour. $5.75

A nice discovery. I didn’t know this places existed and I was a little skeptical at the beginning. However, when I went there everything changed my mind. The place is spacious and the environment is pretty characteristic (close to the South American style). Food was delicious. We tried a lot of different things (papas, picada, Peruvian lomo saltado, chimichurri, etc.) and everything was tasteful and very enjoyable. Also the drinks were very good. Service was great and price are on the average. For sure it’s a place to try and enjoy.

Neat Tapas restaurant in the Brewery district in Columbus. The restaurant is quite huge with lots of space to eat and spread out. The bar area looked nice and the whole restaurant was very well decorated. The food was excellent. We had the arepitas and chilaquiles. Both were excellent, although both of us had a slight preference for the chilaquiles. The coriander sauce that comes with both had a wonderful zesty taste. The restaurant is slightly on the expensive side, but we would go again.

Great service and good food. Very accommodating for a couple are a large crowd. I loved the food, drinks and dessert. My brother, who is a big eater, was full! I was surprised, so the portions or the meal he picked will fill you up. Please try them out.

I remember when Arepazo was just a hole in the wall in N Pearl St, downtown Cols. Then they opened this one in S High and another one in Gahanna. Sadly, Gahanna has closed. They have a great tasting cilantro sauce as a side condiment in their dishes, which they sell separately. Favorites are the fish tacos and the lomo saltado. For now, we tried their empanaditas and their crab cake entree. Both highly recommended!

Pretty good Latin American restaurant near German Village. The restaurant caught our attention because of the “tapas” in the title but the food isn’t served in traditional tapas style with small dishes. Nevertheless it was still delicious - we enjoyed the Venezuelan beef arepas (not pictured), the Picada, and some large margaritas in Schooner glasses. They aren’t joking when they say the Picada is meant for 3-4 people - it’s huge! You can’t go wrong ordering this appetizer as an entree for two people. The margarita was very refreshing. I appreciated how attentive/friendly the staff were and how spacious the restaurant is (quick seating!). Overall I’d like to come back to try other things on the menu.

If I could give ZERO stars I would! Absolutely terrible service. We waited 15+ minutes for a staff member to come get our drink orders. I ended up getting the wrong protein on my meal, requested the correct protein, and then received a completely different meal. In addition to this, my daughter ordered the carne asada and her food was bathed in oil. She couldn’t even finish the meal, even after getting a replacement side of rice. I had such high expectations for this location, considering my love for the Gahanna location that shut down. Thankfully they covered the incorrect meal and my drinks, but this issue definitely ruined my experience. Never coming back.

Arepazo was highly recommended to my wife and I and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed house margaritas and Venezuelan Tequeños on their happy hour special which was awesome. For our mains, my wife got the shrimp tacos and I had the Peruvian Lomo Saltado. Amazing! They also have an incredible creamy cilantro and lime heavy sauce that accompanies appetizers and main courses. It comes in mild and spicy. Service was excellent, the place is clean and prices are reasonable. We can't wait to go back!

The food here was delicious, but I was most impressed by our waitress. She is damn good at her job, and a very sweet person indeed. I was very impressed. Erm... I've never had to describe a waitress to her boss or anything, but she's very tall with long hair. I don't remember her name, but she was very good.

First time in, ordered 3 apps, Papas Crollas very good. Empanadas very good! All the food came out HOT, that in itself is worth its weight in gold. The tostones and guacamole well that fell short comparatively. The tostones were very dark inside for what fresh tostones should be and the guacamole you was a little grayish. The flavor was good just a minute in the air to long. Over all will be back was good

Our waitress was super sweet and was on top of everything. The drinks were very well made, and I had the best fish tacos I have ever had. The Cilantro sauce was so good I wanted to buy the bottle. Food was on the pricey side tho

Eat here!!! I'll start out bay saying that while waiting in line I got to see the staff interacting with guests and it was refreshing. Everyone was having fun and laughing which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. The food here is amazing! Flavorful, fresh, filling and won't break the bank. If you haven't ordered the Guava Caipirinha you ARE MISSING out it is absolutely delicious and pack a punch. Their cocktails are all delicious and not overly sweet and the fact that they offer fried plantains and tres leches (3 milk) cake is the cherry on top! 10 out of 10 would recommend and visit again soon.

Very disappointing experience last night due to the restaurant’s ownership. I had received a gift card from the restaurant from a prior visit for $15 in hopes to give them another chance due to an event with my meal having a bug in the lettuce. This visit I brought my wife and two kids as they have never eaten here as I have only come with coworkers. Upon payment, I presented the gift card and was informed the restaurant had recently upgraded their system and no longer had the ability to know how much was on the card and could not accept it. Only the owners had this information and they were not at the restaurant. Upon several visits to our table, our server who was very nice kept trying to work with the manager on duty and the owners over the phone. The owners would not let the staff on duty accept the card, leaving me to pay for the meal in full. Eventually the manager came out, and I asked since the gift card was only $15, could they just remove one soda and a kids meal from the bill which would amount to $14, they could keep the card that would take care of things? That request was also denied by the manager who said they already asked the owners and they would not authorize this either. If someone was going to lie about the balance on a gift card, I think they would make up a larger value than $15! To top everything off, I was told if I wanted to use the card I would have to come back when the owners were there who could validate it, and that they typically are only present around lunch time. Very poor business practices and inflexible ownership. Upgrading your system and loosing the ability to validate gift cards issued from the prior system, either sold or given out to customers, is inexcusable. I am sure I am not the first customer to try and use a gift card in from their old system that needed validated. Information to validate these cards should be kept at the restaurant and should not need the owners present to validate and authorize, if the owners do not trust the managers to do this when they are not at the restaurant, what is the point in having managers there to run things?

Freakin’ delicious. The staff is kind and attentive. I never worry about the price. They play soccer, including Crew games, on the TVs. Great vegetarian options which can be modified to vegan. A rare and unique stop on the south end of downtown. It’s the perfect place to stop on a warm summer day and grab a quick bite and drink with friends.

My husband and I are frequent patrons of Arepazo. It's one of our favorite restaurants. That's what makes this experience so annoying. I ordered the two meals that have steaks, one being the Chimichurri (forgive the misspelling) steak. Ordered them both medium rare. The first thing i noticed was that the cut of steak is different than it used to be only a few months ago. The steak was so overcooked, i couldn't cut into it. I called in and the manager, i presume, basically questioned my complaint. Saying she watched the cooks prepare our food so she was confused about how it was overcooked. I live about 20-25 mins away so I couldn't bring the food back to prove my complaint. She supposedly refunded me $9 for my steak (I say supposedly because it's been 30 mins since I spoke to her and I haven't received the email confirmation of refund that she said I'd get). Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed, both with the food and the customer service. I doubt we'll be back and I hate that but it's not worth the trip if the quality is going downhill.

Wow I forget how much I like Arepazo. My wife and I use to try to go out for lunch to the one in Pearl Alley every so often. Today on my Spring Break, we made a lunch trip here. I forgot how big and delicious the Domino Empanada is. I have tried Empanadas at different places but this is my favorite one. I love the cheese and beans with corn shell. Then pour some spicy cilantro sauce on it and you have one of my fat meals. We split one and then both ordered an Arepa. The Arepa were also just as good as I remembered. This made me think I need to try to come down here for lunch this summer as well. My wife and I are get a chance to go out to lunch without the kids on a weekday but this place reminded me why we need to once in awhile. It is one of my 5 favorite meals in Columbus easily.

This used to be my favorite restaurant, specifically the Pearl and Gahanna locations. I became friends with the owner and servers after going so many times. This location is not friendly. I tried to eat there. I walked 4 miles to get there, literally. No one would serve us. I asked a server for waters instead she ignored us and took out water to a dog instead and literally said she couldn't help us??? Never got even a hello, or we'll be right with you after 10 minutes. We begged for water and got nothing. Extremely bad business. Honestly this is an embarrassment, and I see this location closing soon.

The best empanadas I ever had in America. They were so big and delicious that makes me feel like In home. I totally recommend and the food is fresh!

The worst service here and the manager is extremely unprofessional, even to local patrons. You can find a better local value. I figured you’d reply that, that’s not the case according to your Venmo account, Carolina.

The food was absolutely amazing - would definitely bring me back if I'm in the area. Unfortunately, the service was struggling a bit the day I was there so took awhile to put your order in. Service staff was polite however. Maybe just an off night...

One of the best restaurants in Columbus. The food was so rich and comforting, and the milieu is very relaxed but elegant. Our waitress was so kind and conversational and entertaining as well. Truly a wonderful experience.
