Very
disappointing
experience
last
night
due
to
the
restaurant’s
ownership.
I
had
received
a
gift
card
from
the
restaurant
from
a
prior
visit
for
$15
in
hopes
to
give
them
another
chance
due
to
an
event
with
my
meal
having
a
bug
in
the
lettuce.
This
visit
I
brought
my
wife
and
two
kids
as
they
have
never
eaten
here
as
I
have
only
come
with
coworkers.
Upon
payment,
I
presented
the
gift
card
and
was
informed
the
restaurant
had
recently
upgraded
their
system
and
no
longer
had
the
ability
to
know
how
much
was
on
the
card
and
could
not
accept
it.
Only
the
owners
had
this
information
and
they
were
not
at
the
restaurant.
Upon
several
visits
to
our
table,
our
server
who
was
very
nice
kept
trying
to
work
with
the
manager
on
duty
and
the
owners
over
the
phone.
The
owners
would
not
let
the
staff
on
duty
accept
the
card,
leaving
me
to
pay
for
the
meal
in
full.
Eventually
the
manager
came
out,
and
I
asked
since
the
gift
card
was
only
$15,
could
they
just
remove
one
soda
and
a
kids
meal
from
the
bill
which
would
amount
to
$14,
they
could
keep
the
card
that
would
take
care
of
things?
That
request
was
also
denied
by
the
manager
who
said
they
already
asked
the
owners
and
they
would
not
authorize
this
either.
If
someone
was
going
to
lie
about
the
balance
on
a
gift
card,
I
think
they
would
make
up
a
larger
value
than
$15!
To
top
everything
off,
I
was
told
if
I
wanted
to
use
the
card
I
would
have
to
come
back
when
the
owners
were
there
who
could
validate
it,
and
that
they
typically
are
only
present
around
lunch
time.
Very
poor
business
practices
and
inflexible
ownership.
Upgrading
your
system
and
loosing
the
ability
to
validate
gift
cards
issued
from
the
prior
system,
either
sold
or
given
out
to
customers,
is
inexcusable.
I
am
sure
I
am
not
the
first
customer
to
try
and
use
a
gift
card
in
from
their
old
system
that
needed
validated.
Information
to
validate
these
cards
should
be
kept
at
the
restaurant
and
should
not
need
the
owners
present
to
validate
and
authorize,
if
the
owners
do
not
trust
the
managers
to
do
this
when
they
are
not
at
the
restaurant,
what
is
the
point
in
having
managers
there
to
run
things?
