Visited Cavans on Sunday 5/17/20 at around 6:30pm. Decided I'd check out the bar after I had a drink at The Toolbox. I knew there' would only be service on the patio so I decided to stop in. I was greeted by a bartender with the words. DO YOU HAVE A MASK!! I did, since I was wearing a blue bandana which doubles as a mask. I looked around the patio which was empty except for four white guys siting at a table without masks. Seemed odd since I was asked to supply one. I told the bartender never-mind since 1. he didn't require the white patrons to wear a mask and 2. I 've had problems with this bartender before. I guess some bartenders are USING. COVID TO PRACTICE RACISM AGAINST BLACK PATRONS. They won't be getting anymore of my money. I'm too old for that nonsense!!!!

Nice space and great staff. Good selection of beers, bottle and draft. Nicely priced cocktails too. Patio open year round, enclosed and heated during the non-construction months (winter). Karaoke and other events happen weekly. Tell them I sent you. Sainte!

This is probably the best bang for your buck bar in German Village. The atmosphere is always sociable and there's a pretty good tap selection. Huge patio space with great winter coverage for the smokers / social smokers / willing second-handers.

This use to be my go to bar, and her in the last few years my husband, and myself get treated like garbage almost every single time, and when I bring it to someone’s attention, and instead of her having someone call me! She says they either like or they don’t!!! She blocked me after I put her on blast on Facebook for the treatment she had given me! I still haven’t gotten a call from the other! They will never get a penny from me! I haven’t been to south bend in 3 years, because of similar treatment! Do better!!!

The tenders and patrons have always been warm and welcoming. The ambiance is lovely and unpretentious. The drinks can be a bit overpriced, but that helps prevent some folks from having one too many so I won't complain.

Came here on a Saturday. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. This place has an awesome atmosphere.

Really nice selection of beers, good prices on drinks. Friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere, mostly male crowd. One of the funniest drag performances I've seen.

Love this place. Love the shows an the bartenders are great. I always have fun w my friends when i come.

Nice atmosphere but the bartender couldn’t make a Manhattan....said they didn’t have the right ingredients. What kind of bar doesn’t have whiskey vermouth and bitters?or did he just not know how to make it?

I scored some brewskies here during a bad snow storm because I can always count on these guys to be open when they say they will. Vincent was very accommodating and extremely attractive.

Wore a kilt at this Irish Pub didn't get a very good reception but I don't care I thought kilts and Irish went hand in hand I could be wrong but I'll take it in stride I'm not that insulted by it or insecure I'll wear them again it seems appropriate for me to do so

Hands down the best place to do Karaoke & bartenders Nate & Benny are always accessible, quick, attentive & check if you need refills! 5/5 The whole damn environment is perfect. Outside seating and heat lamps for smokers and 3 separate bathrooms. Plenty of tables & chairs surrounding the bar to talk with friends, meet people or listen to me sing hahahaha.
