I'm actually a little bummed they didn't have shrimp and grits. Isn't that a top Cajun dish? Or is that just a thing in New Orleans? All they had were things to put over white rice. I got the red beans and sausage. The food was fine, though it could have had a lot more spice. Adding red hot didn't seem to help much. I'll be back a second time. Maybe they'll have a more varied menu. I really liked the design of the place and how open and refreshing it felt. The communal rows are nice. And service was good as the owner/ chef was genuinely interested if I liked the food.

My sister and I visited for lunch before a concert this past Sunday and yum! My dad found it via google for us as we came to town early on a whim. I'm usually not fond of local cajun restaurants because it doesn't compare to my Louisiana grandma's home cooking. However this place definitely changed my mind. She got the chili cheese crawfish etoufee and I got half/half of drunken chicken and red beans&sausage.

Nice restaurant. The girl who was running the place by herself that day was pretty amiable. I enjoyed the flavor of the chicken maque

Finally had a chance to stop by their brick and mortar location and was not disappointed! Food is always excellent and not too spicy for those who aren't into it. If you want it kicked up... there's plenty of hot sauces and seasonings. Ample parking around the location. Service was fast and friendly.

Beignets are delicious!! Plates are tasty with lots of sauce and spice options to add heat. I mixed the White Chili, B&B, and Drunken chicken. Bread was super delicious, whatever oil mix they brush on before serving is a show stopper.

Wonderful Cajun style food with right amount of Spices enough to fill your Taste buds. NOLA themed Restaurant will sure remind you of that NOLA style food, if u had tasted it earlier anywhere. You can ask for multiple samples before you can make your orders as everything comes on a Bed of Rice and Cajun spices dripped French Bread. Plenty of Parking space in the Lot opposite to it.

Oof! This was stop on the grandview food tour. While I can respect wanting to bring Cajun food to the area this is not how to do it. My boyfriends family is from Gretna,LA (not too far from New Orleans) so I’ve been immersed into the cultural food for a while now and this did not do it Justice. The consistency was thick like refried beans. Just wrong. They beignet was soggy. If you’ve ever been to cafe dumonde in New Orleans you will be very disappointed in this one as it does not come close. The man giving the spiel even stated The food isn’t made here, it’s made in bulk out of state and frozen then shipped in.

Yats was amazing. In Cincy, we have a chain called J. Gumbos and it doesn't hold a candle to Yats. The drunken chicken was amazing and the white chicken chilli was good. Get extra bread, it has an awesome Cajun butter on it. Also voodoo chips rule. 10/10 would recommend.

Hands down one of my favorite places to eat in Columbus. The food is always delicious and the staff is always very friendly. If you haven't had the bread then you are missing out. I always tell my friends that I go for the drunken chicken but I stay for the bread!

Savory Cajun dishes. If you are worried about spice, they actually come with the complex flavors of gumbo and crawfish but minimal heat. You add heat from a variety of sauces available. If you try 2 items, you actually get more overall. We all tried different items and everything was good.

Can't speak to the authenticity as I've never had the real deal, but it's just really good food. I've yet to have an entree I don't like or anything I wouldn't order again. Somehow still $10 for a large single serving or split 2 entrees. This is a new staple for me.

Very small menu and nothing fried so not totally representative of Cajun cuisine which was a small disappointment. Prices are good. Bread is really good and so are the beignets. The stews are good too. Not full service which I like. I still don’t understand why full service is so common in restaurants . Makes the meal price so much higher. I’ll be back soon.

One of my favorite places to eat. I usually get it to go. If you do have a to go order, I recommend ordering in person. They are usually very quick, you get the rewards on the fivestar app, and they don't have to pay the outrageous fees that Doordash charges. The prices are good, so once I realized the fees they charge Yats, I just order in person.

The people here are always friendly and service is quick and efficient. The food is excellent! You can make two meals out of one serving for about 10 bucks. They do have gluten-free and vegan options. The place is BYOB but they do have some sodas and iced tea in-house. Sometimes they have dessert as well. My favorite is the Crawfish and chili cheese etouffee. It's really creamy and delicious with a little bit of spice but nothing too crazy. It's very flavorful! Sometimes I like to add sausage to it. They're gumbo is one of my husband's favorites.

The relaxing piano music was an odd choice. As was the selection of hot sauces, none of which were Louisiana style. And that's where the questionable things end. The food is so good. Chili cheese ettouffee with crawfish was awesome. Be sure to spring for extra bread.

The Chicken Maque Choux might be some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. The bread that’s on the side is unbelievably DELICIOUS. I heavily recommend you ask for extra bread (and maybe even extra extra bread)! I hope these guys keep it up!!

So good! Love the red beans and sausage. We have been a couple of times and loved it every time! And the owner gives back to charities, which is awesome!!!

Cameron helped us today. It was our first time at Yats and it did not disappoint. She let us sample a few items to help make our decision easier. Everything was amazing and it was a lot of food for the price. If you haven’t checked out the Columbus location lately you should check them out again!

They automatically added an 18% tip to my bill. 2 meals for 28$ and was charged 33$ on my card. No option for the tip, they just added it. Never going back. Edit in response: I did not inadvertently press a tip amount. I was not presented with a tablet, just the card reader. I can give you a call in the morning or you can send me your email and I will supply the requested information. Edit: Still waiting for the refund to my card.

cozy comfy DELICIOUS food. makes it just as good as my dad! like most of the other comments, it's just lacking some spice :)

I wish they made the food fresh on-site. It is brought in frozen and reheated. Meh. Something changed with their distribution in the last couple years, and the taste changed. The chicken used to be finely shredded. Now it is cubed and chunky which is unappetizing in my opinion. Service is fast and friendly though.

My favorite restaurant in Columbus. Started going to their food truck, and quickly started going at least once a week. The Vegetarian B&B and Chicken Maque Choux are my absolute favorites. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is always ready within minutes. Highly recommended!

I frequent this place (although not as much as I'd like to) and simply cannot say enough positive things about this place! But if I had to say something specific, for me, it all comes back to the fabulous bread!! Please get an extra order to eat for me! Parking can sometimes be inconvenient but a small tradeoff for a truly unique and authentic experience. Great staff and even better food.

Stopped by to try their vegan while chili. I wasn't expecting much considering this is the only vegan item on their menu. I definitely shouldn't have doubted them! The chili was so flavorful and came with rice, too, which made it even more filling. I found out the bread is vegan so I got a few extra of those, which again, were amazing! Also, to feed myself and my partner with extra bread, it cost $20! I'll definitely be back!

First time trying Cajun/creole. We weren't sure what to expect, but we all loved it! Several different options, and you can order split plates to try different things! It wasn't too spicy, so that shouldn't be a problem for those who prefer milder flavors, and there were many different hot sauces available! The cashier was polite and friendly! Great lunch experience!

At first I was disappointed by there being only one vegan dish despite other reviews implying more, but the white bean chili was very good. The beans and rice were perfectly cooked and the flavor was not too spicy upfront before sauces. My wife liked the drunken chicken too. The bread as good was very salty. I confirmed that thy use a soybean based oil instead of butter for all bread. I liked the decor. Beads hanging off everything and New Orleans themed paintings helped set the mood and made us want to plan a trip there.

Fantastic experience! So much flavor, so little time. Every single bite was packed with flavor. I had the drunken chicken and the red beans with sausage and loved every minute of it. Oh and the bread… that bread is so good - I highly recommend getting those extra pieces with the combo. If you haven’t been, you need to!

Deliciously seasoned comfort food. Ordering from here is always a treat. The staff is also incredibly kind and friendly. It’s hard to pick just 1-2 things off the menu so we usually end up ordering several different entrees and they’re always delicious. We had to wait an extra minute or 2 for our pickup order the other day and the woman working apologized several times and threw in some extra bread for us, which was above and beyond.

This food is so flavorful and fun, out of this world goodness. Got the pick-two with chili cheese etouffee and gumbo; both are phenomenal independently and even more insane when mixed together. The bread they provide with the meal is perfect too, buttery and tasty, great to load up with your food.

Solid meal, good portion, friendly service. Unfortunately they were out of the slow cooked crawfish dish I had hoped for. It seems they were trying to be vegan and vegetarian friendly than focusing on traditional options.

  • 5/5 Matt D. 1 year ago on Google
I love coming here. The food is absolutely delicious, you get good portions for the price. I recommend the Chili Cheese etouffee. The bread is awesome, a little salty, but irresistible. You'll love their food so much, this will easily become your new favorite place to eat. For those that want to know: the place is clean and there's plenty of seating. The bathrooms are clean and smell good. The staff are friendly and helpful. There's plenty of parking across the street. I'll definitely be coming back.

Oh my this is the place!!! Amaizing dishes served up fast but can tell it was cooked slow. great seasoning and the bread is on crack level of good!!!

  • 5/5 Vijay S. 4 years ago on Google
Great food, very quick service. The highlight is that the food is quite homely, and doesn't taste like it's made by some fast food joint. The variety of sauces and seasoning options are also great. The option to mix and match dishes and main course is also worth trying. Recommended for lunch and dinner.

I never leave reviews, but I just had one of the best meals of my LIFE. I got the drunken chicken which comes with the most amazing bread and both were the definition of soul food. It clearly travelled well too since i ordered through doordash. I cant wait to try every dish in the menu because that was incredible!
