Heard it’s much loved by locals and went to try it out on a visit. Wide variety of options and love that it’s been family owned for decades and I’m sure will continue unlike many changing places in the area. But food is GREAT too. There is a fun old time atmosphere featuring a local “Clintonville” newspaper which was cool to take a copy of. They also have fun semi-specialty drinks (ex: I’m obsessed with Stewart’s root beer so it was a win). We tried different sandwiches and everyone was happy with their meals!

Nice little neighborhood deli. Friendly service, really good croissant sandwiches. Desserts are good and baked there, too.

We decided to try this restaurant in our area for the first time. We were NOT disappointed in our experience. A quiet place to enjoy a meal without all the hustle and bustle of a chain restaurant. I had the chicken parmesan sub. Toasted to perfection, the chicken tender, and the marinara sauce was excellent. Hot from start to finish. My wife had the special which was a Fall salad with blue cheese, chicken, cranberries, and walnuts on mixed greens. She gives it two thumbs up! Will be back to try the Reuben and perhaps the lasagna.

You know when you walk into a place and see local residents - especially an older crowd - packing the place that the food is good (probably great), the prices are reasonable, and there's a lot of loyalty earned by the establishment. All of that is right here at Smith's. And the food is great, not just good, great! If you want to be pleased with a local joint that earns every bit of the respect it's gathered, head to Smith's and pull up to an old diner table edged in chrome. You might want to loosen your belt and stay awhile.

Small family deli. Very underwhelming food. Side salad was lettuce and a baby carrot cut up with packaged dressing. Macaroni salad was dry and chewy. Rueben was tiny. Chicken parm sub was all bread with a few pieces of cut up chicken. Sandwiches lacked flavor. Best was the pickle.

We went on April 22nd 2023 for lunch. We had a cranky 7yr old and 2 very hungry parents. Found this place on Google searching for pizza and sandwiches. Not only was the food delicious and wonderfully priced but the people working were out of this world amazing. So kind and thoughtful and they all just seemed so happy to be there talking with their customer's. You can tell these people love what they do. The macaroni salad and potato salad were great! The pizza? Super cheesy and delicious, and the Ruben? One of the best I've had. Please don't skip over this place when looking for a casual place to bring the family or to just grab a bite of good home made food.

I began to work in the neighborhood not long ago and have stopped by this restaurant a few times to take out subs for lunch. The subs I have had, including Super Smith Sub and Chicken Parmesan, were so good! The prices were very reasonable with the portion of food! Mostly, the staff were friendly. They made me feel like home! I am grateful this restaurant is only minutes away from where I work. I will definitely keep visiting this restaurant and trying out their other subs and dishes! Highly recommended!

Smith's has stayed true to the idea of a local place-great food at reasonable prices, great service and friendly staff. Added bonus-sit on the patio and you may make friends with some of the other locals as they come in and out of the place.

So many delish options to choose from with great prices. I can’t remember the last time the two of us were able to order this much food and keep the cost under $30. Big fan of the atmosphere and never changing aesthetics. A treasure for Clintonville. We just came back with our friend from out of town. She was a big fan. This place is absolutely amazing each and every time. I’m still floored by the prices! Cheers!

Small mom and pop style restaurant. Staff were friendly, food came out fresh and hot. The sauce was so good you can tell it was homemade and not out of a can. Prices for portions and quality of food is more than fair. It’s simple and good!

Got a Reuben and macaroni salad. Both were nothing special. Macaroni was tough. Staff was nice and courteous.

We live in Clintonville and frequent Smith’s regularly. The menu is varied - pizza, spaghetti, sandwiches, salads, and soups! It has an old school vibe and menu but the quality is consistent and the staff it friendly and hard-working. Our son loves the warm, fresh cookies!

Great little spot, we have eaten there for years! It's kinda a hidden gem. Very nostalgic decor and the food is always fresh. We had the Italian subs and they were delicious!

The best reuben I have had in a long time! The bread was crunchy, the ingredients were so tasty. I got a side of coleslaw and it was so good. Great little place! Will definitely stop again the next time I am in the area!

Lovely little place! Cozy and food was tasty and inexpensive. Shared a personal cheese pizza and spaghetti+meatball with my partner, plus some of the bottled sodas. The meat sauce slaps. My first bite was a bit watery but then it got tastier as I kept eating. Staff was very nice.

I ordered the Greek Salad and it was delicious. My hubby ordered the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich and it was so good that I stole 1/3 of it so he ordered a Super Smith sub. It was equally as delicious. (Yep. I stole a bit of it as well.) The sun rolls are the perfect mix of soft outside and slightly crunchy outside. Don't miss this small unassuming spot! It's FANTASTIC and reasonably priced.

This is easily my favorite restaurant. Great staff. Great food. Great memories. I come so often that the staff already knows what I want when I get there.

I cut grass around this area and I've seen people leaving in an out of this joint constantly and now I see why. Me an my wife ordered a pizza and a salad and within 15 minutes we had our order. The pizza was amazing and made perfect to expectations. I definitely love the ingredient choices and how well it is served. Definitely check this place out especially if your on a date.

The sub sandwich’s are some of the best around. Very simple but it’s great to have a sub toasted in a pizza oven. Locally owned so better than support a large chain.

First time having the Pizza from Smiths have to say it was very delicious looking forward to trying the rest of the menu! Love the old school vibe of this place not many in Columbus anymore.

Nice little lunch spot. I have been a handful of times and enjoyed every meal I have had. The staff is pleasant/helpful and even informed me cookies were fresh out the oven. Needless to say I didnt pass those up and they were very delicious.I haven't found the item that blows my mind, but I am sure they have one. Worth the visit imo.

Great little deli - very simple and straightforward. Menu is small and the food is delicious. No pretentiousness here, just simple tables, some historic photos, and the smell of delicious pizzas baking as you wait for your order. Bottles drinks as well as some fountain choices and what seem to be homemade cookies for dessert. My meatball sub was very good ( sliced meatballs, great sauce, and the bun perfectly toasted) and they even put some hot peppers on it.

This is my first time there. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. Really great prices for the food. I got the meatball sub, and I loved it. I don't think I will get a meatball sub from anywhere else ever again.

Awesome family owned deli. Great friendly service. Food was fast and fresh we had a few bowls of homemade Italian wedding soup, order of spaghetti and meatball and salad for the kid, and me and the wife had the meatball and Reuben corned beef sandwiches with garlic bread. Everything was delicious and fresh oh and the cheesecake brownies were delicious as well.

Had a pepperoni pizza and one with sausage, green peppers, and onions. Pepperoni was pretty good. Vegetables on the second one could have baked a little bit more. The crust was thin and crispy, just a little dry for my taste.

Had the tuna melt sub. Wish there was more veggies on it instead of just lettuce. Overall, good meal option.
