I wish I could leave a negative star but not possible. I traveled here for a conference and the conference had a special rate so logically I took advantage of the rate. I wish I would have checked the reviews before booking. I start my interaction with the check in team being notified that there is no housekeeping service due to Covid. Needless to say I was taken back by hearing that news, nowhere on their website does it mention no clean sheets, note I’m there for almost a week. It is interesting they highlight no room service on the website why not this? Probably because nobody will want to stay at the hotel if they didn’t get a clean room every day. Talk about sneaky! Since it was a conference week there was no way to switch hotels. On top of that they wouldn’t let me cancel my reservation, I had to stay there for at least the one night. The only positive about the hotel is the geographic relation to the convention center. What is even more interesting from reading the reviews the only thing the manager says “I hope you give us another chance”. Stay away from this hotel!

The hotel was great! The staff was nice, love the lobby setup. Didn't care for the self parking. It cost about $18 to park over night in the garage. Overall the hotel and room was very clean And pillows soft, I had a great nights sleep. When visiting Columbus again I will definitely stay there again.

We came to stay on our wedding day. Off the bat we had to travel from the main desk building to the building we stayed in 3 different times as the keys did not work. Then we get to the room and it looks NOTHING like the room we booked pictures. Lighting was very bad and only lighting is small lamps the size of your hand. No complimentary water which means no coffee as well. Room had trash laying in it. Bathtub had dirt on side and also awful looking stain on shower curtain.

Room appeared to be clean until I glanced behind the bed board. It was our last day so I didn't bring it up with the management. Another thing was the breakfast. They charged $24 for breakfast that usually is included in Best Western or similar hotels. For $24 I expected fresh bagels not frozen ones from the bag. The last thing was the TV, huge but useless as it only worked with antenna. No cable and no streaming services. However, hotel is conveniently connected to the convention center. But so several others.

Located just across the street from the convention center, this Sonesta offers a great alternative if you don't want to stay at the Hyatt if you happen to be there for a convention. Its location in downtown Columbus makes it close to lots of shops and eateries and a lovely park. I found the rooms to be clean and well appointed (though there wasn't a microwave). The water pressure and endless bounty of hot water was wonderful. There is no pool, but there is a great gym filled with state of the art exercise equipment.

Paper-thin walls—I called the front desk to quiet the party going on next door. The person on the phone said that she would send someone up to quiet them, but nothing happened. I got no sleep on a night when I needed sleep. The location is great, the room is 2-3 star caliber, and I am tired and disappointed. Based on the price and the description, I expected better.

The beds and pillows were really comfy. I slept very good. Rooms also quiet, little hallway noise heard. Check in and out were very quick and easy. Bar/restaurant was nice.

This was my first time staying at a Sonesta hotel and everything was great. The staff was super friendly, room was spacious and clean and the only thing I found odd was that housekeeping didn’t come at all hence the 4 instead of 5 stars for service. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend the hotel. Also, while the drinks at the bar may be a bit pricey, ‘Sweater Weather’ was by far my favorite and one that was definitely worth it!

Nice clean rooms. Beds are a little stiff but it's a hotel. Can't have everything perfect. My wife left a ring in the room. We called back. Front desk clerk went and found it personally. And it was returned to us. Great service

Stayed here for 2 nights. Overall ok experience. All of the staff and bartenders were very nice. However the heater in our room sounded like a jet plane so we rarely used it on a chilly weekend, and the bathroom mirror light did not work. Most disappointing was the fact that the website advertises two Peloton bikes and The Mirror, which is part of why we stayed here, but one bike was out of order and they do not tell you that you have to have your own login to use these items! The hotel does not have a login so we could not even use these amenities. Location to any event at the arena though can't be beat.

As a former (houseman) employee due to medical, put for rehire looking to return soon, It's one of the best if not the best job I've ever had #nocap. Pay is great, co-workers respectable and learning as well as management. With everyone growing and working together for the betterment of the hotel and guests. I recommend this hotel to anyone. Convenient location to all the good sites, restaurants and events downtown. Come be apart of a great hotel or come as a guest and be thrilled. Welcome to Columbus OHIO! ☺️

I had stayed in one of the lofts. These rooms were huge. It was just my wife and I. I think there could have been more decor in the rooms as it was a slightly empty feeling. The Valet gentlemen were both wonderful. They had a very convenient shop int he lobby that you could buy drinks at. The Bathroom was also very big and had a full size tub. If there was a hot tub in the room by the windows and more decor it would have been a full star review. Lastly each time the AC kicked on it sounded like someone was opening the door so i woke up about 10 to 15 time throughout the night. The view was very basic nothing impressive.

3 Stars on service mainly because our room was only cleaned if I begged someone to do it. When we arrived it was evident the sheets either had been washed with other sheets and not been sufficiently cleaned OR the sheets weren’t changed from the last occupant. Had to request fresh sheets. For some reason every meal we ate from the restaurant tasted burnt. Not that our food was burnt, but had a burnt flavor as if the grill wasn’t cleaned regularly.

Booked and paid for the room months in advance. Arrived early for check in and was told our room wasn't clean yet and that we should get lunch and they'd call us when it's ready. Come back at 4 with no call and there were literally 200 people in line to xheck in. It was a snaking unorganized line. Only two people checking in despite 4 computers. No manger in sight. The checkin line was over two hours UNLESS you were an airline employee. We all watched as airline employees walked right up and interrupted those at the counter so they can skip the line and check in. They grabbed keys while everyone waited in disbelief. After waiting and not checking in due to the line we left to go to our concert without getting a room wearing clothes we drove 6 hours in. Came back to check in after the concert at 1245am. As I was at counter we were told to wait once a group of airline personnel walked up. Mind you I was only one in line at that time and still was told I had to wait so delta employees could get their keys. After complaining to the person about the wait she offered to give us two free breakfasts. She was supposed to place them under our door. Needless to say they were not there and no notes at front desk. Terrible experience and just really poor management. Not to mention a fire hazard as the capacity of the lobby was 155 and there were easily 200 people waiting. Unless you worked for an airline then there were no waits.

Arrived later than I anticipated after a delay flight, thankfully the evening front desk manager Symeria was friendly and made the check in process as smooth and quick as possible, since it had been a long day. I had some questions regarding amenities and when I came down during the day the other front desk manager Norma I believe was her name was incredibly short and appeared like she did not want to assist me. If it wasn’t for the evening staff the rating would have been much lower. Hopefully Norma has a better day.

We waited for 2 hours to check in, we were late to our concert because they were so unprepared. After we finally got our room, we hear someone outside our door trying to get in with a key. I opened the door and it was another guest, they had given them the same room as us. About 5 minutes later a staff member used a key to just walk into our room without knocking. I asked what was happening and she looked surprised that the room was occupied and said that she didn't speak English. The room was nice and clean but I was afraid to leave with our things in the room in case they gave our room to someone else again.

By far one of the best hotels I've been to in terms of cleanliness and generosity by the staff. However, I was placed in a room beside the elevator and this was a huge inconvenience. I highly suggest anyone that is even the slightest of light sleepers to request a change of room. I was in 1226 and was kept up all night due to the elevator bank sounds (sounded like a train rumbling down the tracks and loud clanking noises).

Best part of stay was meal cooked by Brandon. He was so incredible. He came to the table not once but twice to make certain all was right with my meal as I asked for the mustard sauce to be omitted from my meal. The second time was more of a lovely visit. All was delicious and I was delighted with the perfection of the asparagus.

Nice bathroom and bedroom. Good central location in the city. I walked about 20 min to the Veteran's museum. The restaurant is open until 1am and had really good food.

Located off of Nationwide Blvd., This clean hotel with a lounge/bar/restaurant located off the stylish main entrance serves up delicious food And drinks. There is a fireplace inside as well as a fire pit outside just behind the bar. All of this at affordable rates and service with a smile.

We chose the Sonesta Columbus Downtown for our wedding hotel block, and we highly recommend them! They were great to communicate with in the booking process, and our guests had nothing but good things to say. We used two of their suites for our wedding party to get ready in, and there was plenty of space for everyone to hangout and enjoy as we got ready for the big day. We loved having Vine and Forge in the lobby, and the staff there was great to us all. We would choose Sonesta again!

Very beautiful hotel. We had a king Loft room, 2210, and were disappointed. No microwave, room is back of the building across from parking garage so you heard everyone's car honks when they locked their cars at night. View of the garage and garbage dumpster. When people above you walk around your ceiling squeaks, loudly. No bags in the 2 garbage cans, which were extremely small. No plastic dirty laundry take home bag in room. Close proximity to major attractions in the area. Front desk workers and restaurant staff all very nice. Parking is very expensive. Use their valet with in/out privileges for $42 overnight or park in the parking garage for $20 overnight with no in/out privileges. Easy walk to North Market.

Kindly disappointed Rooms are modern and up to date as advertised. Rooms are clean (WHEN YOU ARRIVE, but don't expect housekeeping the rest of your stay, unless you ask for them, and even then, they only come 1 out of 3 times you request). ADS are very misleading when stating "complimentary breakfast" -- it is ONLY COMPLIMENTARY when/ if a certain package is booked. So if you want breakfast, get a loan, or bring some big bucks! WE HAD ZERO WATER PRESSURE. The A/C unit is set on a timer and cuts off at night, you awaken hot and room is stuffy. The staff were very pleasant to talk to when needed, but nothing done about any of these issues.

The staff were all great. Our loft room's AC was not working and took multiple tries to fix. The elevator in the loft section broke down and would not take us to the 3rd floor but brought us up to 5 and back down to 2 before we could get off. You have to request housekeeping each day including to replace used coffee pods and cups. Noisy on the front of the hotel because there is a firehouse around the corner. Finally even though it is across the street from the convention center it is quiet the walk to get the the large convention spaces (close to 3 city blocks) be prepared to walk.

My mom, sister and I were so excited to take a trip out of town to Columbus to see Stevie Nicks play at the stadium. Our last trip together just the 3 of us was 20 years ago. We had planned to have a nice dinner at Jeff Ruby’s before the show so we called the hotel to see if an early check-in was available. They said no, we could only check in at 4pm. Ok. When we arrived at the hotel at 3:45, there was a line of cars around the block simply to get parked in the parking garage. My mom ran in to go wait in the check-in line, which was about 200 people deep at that point. My sister and I waited in the valet line And when we finally are able to have our car parked, no one was there to help us with our bags, not even a cart. we had to unload literally everything ourselves and carry it to the lobby like pack mules. The lobby was complete chaos, no one directing anyone, no one organizing the line. I have never seen anything like this in my life. We realized at this point that dinner was absolutely out of the question and we would be lucky to even have time to change clothes to make it to the show in time. By the time we finally got checked in, well after 5 o’clock, everyone’s mood had soured considerably. We were starving but had no time to eat if we wanted to get to the Stadium to see Stevie. Ubers were surging, we had to take an $80 black car just to make it on time. Our room was tiny, I don’t know how a hotel like this is rated four stars. The ceilings were maybe 8 feet high, nothing about the room said luxury. It was a complete disappointment and absolutely ruined our trip. If I could give zero stars I would. I don’t know how a hotel that obviously depends on Stadium events for business was this completely unprepared on a Saturday. They ended up comping our valet fee to make up for the check-in mess, but nothing could make up for that. Do not stay here. I will be telling everyone I know until the end of time not to stay here.

Great location. Room was well appointed and clean. A little sparse for a mid range hotel, but the location is nice and the bed was super comfortable. Parking is a chore, expect to spend $20 a day for that in the closest garage, but the staff was extremely courteous and helpful at the desk. Check-in and out were quick and easy. They even offered to have my bike stored with the valet overnight since I was a little concerned about leaving it on the car rack in the garage.

This place sucks. Front desk personnel are clueless with a sour attitude and no sense of urgency. They don’t know the area or directions to anything. They don’t service your room after overnight unless you ask for it because they blame Covid shut down all those services so you have to ask for it formally. I’ve asked three times for fresh towels and coffee pods for my room and I still didn’t get them. I will never stay here again. This place is a dump.

Great room. Very clean. Great cable TV. Columbus is a dead city. It was Friday evening and absolutely nothing going on. No traffic, no people, no nothing. But we were just traveling through and got a 4 star Priceline surprise hotel for $90 so it was worth that for sure.

Room was in the "loft section". Huge Room and super comfy bed. The little convenience shop in the lobby was a nice touch to grab a snack and a drink. The only down side is the ridiculous parking charges. $20+/night self park and $42/night valet.

This hotel is great for the price. The bed was comfortable. It is connected via encosed walkways to the convention center. However, I reduced the rooms stars to 4 for the following reasons: No microwave in room Additional chairs needed for dining table. The only chair was for the desk. Hotel has no pool I reduced the Service stars since breakfast wasn't included and there is an extra charge for parking. Overall, a great stay though. The front desk staff was very helpful.

I was here for a conference, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Check-in was a bit rough. We checked in past midnight and it took almost 20 minutes due to some unexplained issue. I was a bit surprised to be put in the lofts across the way without warning, but they were actually very nice and spacious. My keycard deactivated once which was annoying, but they fixed it. The work out facility was really nice with lots of options. The restaurant was just so-so (good food, bad customer service). It had a convenient walkway to the conference center, which was great. The lofts are by far the quietest place I've ever stayed. I didn't need my sound machine for the first time in like 10 years!

First the lobby and staff in the actual hotel are lovely. The space was clean, nicely furnished. Beautiful light. (That light thing will come up soon, trust me) But I exited what looked like a lovely, modern, comfortable hotel and entered some sort of alternate film noir in the worst way version. First and foremost, do NOT accept a room in the Lofts. It is cavernous, strange, VERY separate from the rest of the hotel. You have to leave the hotel, cross the drop off zone and enter a totally unmarked, unbranded building. For all I knew I had entered an apartment building or an office. Why no sign? Also strange, The double set of entry doors are manual (not fun with luggage to open) and the lobby absolutely reeked of super strong perfume. And the room is the opposite of comfortable. Cavernous with very dark Carpet, no furniture and NO light. I am equipped with a single decent quality rolling office chair and a giant bed with lights on the end tables that shine up into your eyes. And it is SO SO dark. I could not work or read in this room. I know they might be going for cool and industrial chic but this is like a terribly lit old office The bathroom is strangely lovely. Clean, well lit (shocker) and nicely appointed. I travel a lot and I’m not trying to be mean, but I also feel like other women traveling alone should beware and be very clear that they are not in this little offshoot building, because it is poorly designed and unsettling. Note the photos have every light in the room on. Every. Single. One.

Really nice hotel, really nice location. Staff was very sweet and welcoming and also provided you all the information about the hotel if it was your first visit. The food was rather delicious at the restaurant which is located in the hotel oh, and they also have a market area with a lot of different snacks and options for food. The gym is very diverse and allows you to get a great workout in no matter what body part you're working on. Really nice hotel in Columbus formerly the Crowne Plaza now the Sonesta. If you're staying in Columbus this is the hotel you may want to take a look at for comfort convenience and rest.

We stayed at this Sonesta location for a convention at the Columbus Convention Center. It was a great location to the center and the sky bridge was easy to access day and night. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size. We had issues with some electrical outlets around the room not working at all. The parking for this location is the community parking garage behind the building. During our 4 day stay, our van was broken into and everything was pulled out of the glove box and consoles. Thankfully we had nothing valuable in the van. I shared this with the staff as we were leaving and the response was "sorry" and they told me if I valet parked the vehicle, I could have filled out a form. This is probably a normal occurrence because no one was surprised when I told them someone had been in our vehicle.

Pros are friendly staff, clean room, fitness center, comfortable lobby, and conveniently connected to convention center. Cons are many. The thicker curtains on our windows couldn't be drawn shut so the street light kept my light sensitive partner awake at night. Walls are thin so enjoy hearing your neighbors in the shower or their alarm at 5am. The wifi didn't work in our room. $23 breakfast buffet was the typical low quality food you'd find for free at a cheaper hotel with a continental breakfast. Half dining room was marked as reserve during a gaming convention removing prime table space but we never saw anyone use the space in four days.

  • 2/5 Michelle M. 2 years ago on Google
When we first arrived it seemed nice, but after a few days of staying there, it started to feel shoddy underneath the shiny exterior. The water pressure in the shower was SUPER low, it made showers take much longer than usual. And the bodywash/shampoo/conditioner was... weird. They had larger, refillable bottles affixed to the shower wall, and I don't know what was in those bottles, but it felt super watered down and poor quality. The temperature in the room was really weird too. We were a little cold, so we turned the heat on (just by a couple of degrees) and then the heater kicked on way too hard and you could smell that kind of hot-dusty-smell and it got too hot... basically it was just never the right temperature in the room. The beds were fine. Not terrible, but not very comfortable. The blankets given were pretty thin, which was a bit of an issue because the room temperature was also weird. Also the walls felt pretty thin, I could hear my next-door people more often than I feel like I ever have in other hotel experiences. Also the cost of parking was $35 a night. We were trying to stay close to the convention center to avoid parking costs, but when we return next year we're just going to do an Airbnb further away and pay the cheaper parking fee in the convention garage every day. It'll be much more cost effective and comfortable. Oh, and did I mention the hotel's breakfast was like $25!? For what looked like a basic breakfast. Ridiculous.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is perfect. The mattresses are so comfortable. And I would literally put any of one of their pieces of furniture (i.e. desk, headboard) in my own home.

I thought it was a very nice and clean hotel. The staff was amazing and in a great location. Upon packing and minutes from checking out I saw a bed bug crawling on the sheets in room 403. They ended up taking a day off of our stay but still a very nasty sight.

We were very shocked at the lack of service and hospitality that was displayed this evening. My wife and I came here to relax and enjoy what we thought would be a good hotel stay. We arrived at 7pm. Checked in. Tried to get dinner at the restaurant inside Sonesta Hotel. We stood around confused with no direction from the hostess, eventually we were seated and 30 mins had gone by and no one came over. At this point it’s late and we are still looking for dinner. With paying $200 a night, we should not have to walk multiple blocks to attempt to find a restaurant. We came back and talked with Norma at the desk. Her lack of compassion was visibly noticeable. She gave off the impression that we , the customer, were an inconvenience. We explained the unfortunate events that took place at the restaurant and she said , her words exactly “we cannot refund you. You checked in at 7.” (At this point it is 9pm) and you should have stood up and said “hey, can we get service!” As someone who works with customers every day, that is no where near the experience I would want to offer my customers.” As a result of such a disappointing evening, I am requesting a refund. We were there for 2 hours and met with this most unprofessional customer service experience.

Nice hotel but not worth the money. The rooms were updated and clean but they charge $23 a person for basic hotel continental breakfast. Charging $23 for a mini bowl of pre packaged cereal and liquid eggs is a slap in the face to guests. Stay at a Holiday Inn or Hilton instead, get the same type of rooms and better amenities included.

This hotel was all over the place. Called ahead to request early check in, was told no promise but shouldn't be an issue. Arrived approx 1 hour before regular check in time to be told they had 0 rooms clean and to come back at 3pm, that my room would be ready. Came back close to 4, same story. No rooms ready check back at 5 or 6. I asked if they were SURE i'd have a room ready because I wouldn't be back until almost 11, my event started at 4. I went to my event, returned and was told AGAIN they didn't have a room for me. Exhausted and tired I waited in the lobby until magically a room popped up and was ready for me. Was given a voucher for 2 free drinks as an inconvenience. I'll probably look to stay elsewhere if and when I return to the city. Rooms were EXTREMELY small for a double queen room, felt very tight and confined.

The service was wonderful. The heat didn't work but they got right on fixing it. Room sort of small but cozy. The only bad thing is the parking but we found out they valet park so.

  • 4/5 Martin D. 2 years ago on Google
The rooms were clean and well lit. Even the remotes were sanitized and put in plastic bags for reassurance. The only complaint was the sofa with bed had issues with the seat cushions not fitting properly and making it hard to get comfortable and getting up with the hard edges of the frame exposed. Minor but enough to write about. Otherwise a good location to everything we wanted to go to.

Had a good stay. A bit of a walk to the convention center. Found street parking and the rooms were quiet. The button on the shower kept flying out when we turned off the water but all else was working fine.

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was so friendly and always ready to help. Great downtown location. You can use valet service or public parking right behind the hotel. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and we highly recommend Sonesta Columbus Downtown for your next visit.

I stayed here during the Ohio Pharmacists Association conference. I stayed in the 2 queen, deluxe room on the loft side. The room was very clean and I was very satisfied with my stay. I would definitely recommend staying here, it is in a great location, has a public parking garage right outside and most eating places are within walking distance. 5/5 stars!

Staying here was a wonderful experience. The rooms were nice and clean. The bed was AH-MAZING! All three nights I slept the entire night…comfortably. It was an easy walk on street level over to the convention center—much quicker than the skywalk. And the restaurant, although service was slower, the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, I can highly recommend.

I purchased four nights at this hotel because it listed as being connected to the Greater Columbus Convention center and I knew I would be doing late night convention events. I wanted to avoid walks outside in the dark in an unfamiliar city. The first night, I came back from the convention around 10pm, took a break in my room, then attempted to go back to the convention by sky-walk at 1am. It was locked. The hotel desk told me the sky-walk was closed between 10:30p and 5:30am, and that they were not in control of its hours. I wish this had been more prominently advertised on both the convention center information website and the hotel's website because for me, that defeated the purpose of having chosen a connected hotel. Rather than going an outside route that night, I went to bed disappointed. The next three nights, I made sure to pack up anything I needed from my room by 10pm, and planned ahead for not leaving the convention between 10pm and 5:30am. Because of the hours I was keeping, I realized I was going to be too tired to make the checkout time on the last day, so I got online and booked an additional night. I called the hotel, and advised the night manager that I wanted to link the two stays, and she was very helpful in getting my additional night linked to the room I was in so that I would not have to check out at 11am. I instead checked out at 7pm, and the front desk attendant was surprised and concerned as to why I hadn't stayed the entire night. When I explained, he called the manager on duty, and they reduced my extra hotel night to a late checkout fee - about half the cost of the extra night. I travel a lot, and have generally found hotels not to be agreeable to requests for half-day stays or checkouts later than about an hour or so extra, which is why I booked a full night without discussion. I was pleasantly surprised that this hotel did this for me without my asking. It made my night. This level of service is why I am giving a 5-star rating, despite the lack of sky-walk access. During check out, the hotel did note that the sky-walk had been locked in the night due to security concerns.

I stayed here on business. I stayed on the loft side. My room was easily the LARGEST hotel room that I ever stayed in stateside. It was like a small apartment. Very spacious. Super clean. All the amenities. Nice bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows. The restaurant made good breakfast. The gym was awesome. Good location near the vibrant Short North area and not too far from the Capitol. The service was top notch including the valet. This was easily my best hotel stay in the country. Good job Sonesta!

The valet service was awesome! It was the first time my partner and I have ever done valet, and the gentlemen who helped us were amazing! The staff inside the hotel were incredibly helpful when there was a little mixup with the room we booked. I would rate it five stars, but my only complaint was that one of the towels, along with the shower, were dirty upon arrival. It didn’t bother me too much, and I’m sure if I would’ve said something the front desk staff they would’ve resolved the issue. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Columbus.

Exceptional cleanliness, great customer service! We were very thankful for valet parking due to the heavy rain. The restaurant and bar inside was very cozy and nice. Close to everything downtown, walking distance from everything!

Have stayed at this beautiful hotel a couple times. Always clean and prompt, friendly service. LOVE the hotel bar & restaurant - Vine & Forge. Have been there for both breakfast & happy hour. Valet is always quick. Love that it's walking distance to Nationwide Arena, and Clippers stadium and Kemba Live. Thanks Sonesta for a great stay.

The hotel itself was fine, if you are going to a convention or conference downtown it is very close and even has a walkway to the convention center. However, I wish I wouldn't have had to waste so much money staying at this hotel. My #1 issue is the parking. You can either pay for valet which is $40/day or you have to pay hourly parking which would probably be more. You already have to pay over $200/night for a room I can't believe parking is not included in that. #2 No free breakfast (booooo) I understand this is supposedly a "fancy" hotel, so they only have a restaurant in the lobby you can eat at, but it is very overpriced. I mean at other cheaper hotels they at least have free coffee or tea in the lobby...lol #3 It was clean-ish. The beds were comfy, but the exhaust fan didn't work in the bathroom and there wasn't a microwave in the room. Overall, if you don't have to stay here then don't. It's not worth the money, they just get away with charging more because of location -not because it's actually that nice of a place.

This is a pretty standard business hotel. Not clear why Google thinks it's a 4-star hotel. The rooms are OK. The bed is fine, nothing special. The blankets are very light, so you may want to turn up the temp. The pillows are thick and firm. They fall in the awkward category of not thick enough to just use one, but too thick to use 2. The bathrooms are also just adequate. The shower is fine, but the shower head doesn't have a lot of power. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are in large bottles bolted to the shower wall. It's nice to not have to deal with the tiny, environmentally unfriendly bottles. Unfortunately, that was all there was. If you are expecting lotion, cotton balls, or anything else, you'll have to bring your own. I wasn't thrilled about the cleanliness of the room. One of my towels was really ratty and had a stain of some sort on it. They brought another towel when I called, but that shouldn't have been necessary.

Whatever you do, do not let them put you in a room ending in "26", or any near the elevator. We paid top dollar for a supposed four star hotel only to be woke up by a loud thud every 3-10 minutes, all night long. Absolutely horrific.

Staff and valet parking are wonderful. The hotel is clean and the rooms are big. Anything we needed, they accommodated us! We will stay here again if in the area.

Was very disappointed with my stay. I got a deluxe loft room that was definitely a lot smaller than the pictures showed online. The Loft rooms of the hotel were in a separate building that smelled like s#^t. At one point they had the doors to the entrance just open to air it out. The only thing bad with that is it was 28° outside with high winds. There was no mention of any issues from the staff at check in, to say there was a smell or anything. There was no ice machines on my floor. The elevator got stuck at our floor a few times and the doors would not open. So we had to use the stairs to go down that put you out into the ally. The room looked ok at least.

I arrived at 6:45pm on Sunday, January 8, 2023 to be told they did not have a room for me. I made the reservation in mid-November and received an email 24 hours prior to arrival welcoming me for my 3 night stay. The two staff at the front desk were non-apologetic and stated I received an email in the morning letting me know. Unfortunately that was not true for I received an email at 6:35pm stating they were moving me to a near by hotel. I asked if I could to be moved a similar star rated hotel and they told me not possible. To say they were rude and not helpful is understatement. Given that I ubered to the hotel with colleagues from the airport and were able to check in even though they made their reservations after me is even more disappointing. I will never book at a Sonesta or at Sonesta Columbus Downtown ever again. Poor customer service and attitude.

The old crowne hotel This place is not worth the $254/ night before tax and fees. The room I was given was dark and depressing. See pictures The faux leather chair is peeling off , the of the lamp was not working , it was extremely dark compared to all the hotels I have been over the last 20 years. Had to ask for a table lamp to work in the room! The bedside “tables” are made of steel , makes me feel like it is prison furniture. The working @ table “is table top with 6 posts. Ugly. The bathroom is like motel six. . The liquid soap and shampoo are clamped down. It is a a joke. The water pressure is like take a shower using a make shift camping water bag. A small bottle of water you can get at the store for $0.50, the hotel retail for $4.00; 8x the cost with no sales person. Food menu is limited and overhead the bartender saying they are out of a lot of ingredients to make most cocktails. There is no room service. For $250 a night in Columbus OH??? Staff are great and nice people. Excellent staff service. Avoid.

I just had a terrible experience at your hotel last weekend. First, upon arrival to the hotel, there was a really long line to valet and pull in, however, the valet worker was apologetic and kind. Second, when I arrived in the room it was dirty. The floors had not been vacuumed and there were hairs all over the bathroom. Then, I called down four separate times on three separate days because there were no tissues. No one ever brought them. Then, I called for towels and a pillow twice, but no one ever came. The service was poor and the room condition was dirty. To top it off the power went out and there were no generators. We stay there every year, but this stay was our last. I would not recommend. Stay next door at the Canopy, the rooms are so much nicer!
