Stopped in about 10 am on a Saturday and the place was busy but not crowded. The decor could use some sprucing up - it was clean, but seemed like it had been there a while. I ordered a western omelette and got pancakes instead of toast, I also ordered corned beef hash with pancakes instead of toast. They were accommodating and friendly. It was a short time and they had my order ready to go. They included a good amount of ketchup, syrup, and butter. The omelette had nice big chunks of ham and veggies, a little more salty than I would make it. The home fries were delicious and the pancakes awesome. The corned beef hash was good, but I could have used a little more or had some onions and peppers in the mix. Overall a good spot.

Don’t go fancy - go tasty good! Great staff. You can sit at the diner stools and watch them cook or hang out with friendly locals. Huge great potions. I had French toast, home fries and sausage. And a Big mug of coffee! Will go back next time we’re in town.

When you come to a packed diner with run down decor you know you’ve found yourself a gem. Food was cooked PERFECTLY. Definitely recommend this place to anybody who is looking for rib-tickling good breakfast bites.

If you are anywhere near this place for breakfast, detour and go here. It is in a run down strip of stores, but the food is AWESOME. The place shows it age, but that's part of the charm. The grill is right out front, just like they used to be. I had the Jr. Biscuits and sausage gravy. I wanted the full size, but the waitress talked me out of it, and I'm glad she did. More than enough food. The biscuits are excellent, thick ,fluffy but solid enough to fill you up. The gravy is spot on with flavor and it's all on top of fried sliced potatoes. And they serve coffee in full sized mugs!! You've got to try this place.

Took off 3 stars for these reasons. They didnt have iced tea, they didn't have the heat on.....it was almost as cold inside as out and by the time we got our food my feet were freezing, when i placed my order (buffalo chicken tender sandwich) she asked what side I wanted, I looked at the sides and said chili cheese fries and she said nothing. Well upon getting the check there was an upcharge, I asked her about it and she said that's what they do. I mentioned there was nothing saying it was an upcharge and you didn't tell me and they would not take it off the bill. Other than that the food was good (except the chili had very little flavor) and the placed had a good atmosphere. I like the local art they had on the walls also.

Hello everyone, had lunch today at my favorite diner...Fitzy's on Shrock Road. I had the Club sandwich with potato and bacon soup. Then I broke down and had the chocolate dumplings with chocolate ice cream. Oh my was it awesome. Scott makes his own dessert and homemade ice creams. Ok, Scott just made a spicy chicken sandwich...OMG it was so good! You have got to stop in and try it!! Can you tell this is my favorite place to eat. I love watching them make the food. Today, I had the biscuits and gravy with a bowl of fruit. Scott just made some fresh potato bacon and cheddar soup! Had lunch at Fitzy's today. Great salad, grilled cheese, and Mac and cheese. Thanks, Kristine, James, and Scott, such great staff!! I just had French Toast with whipped cream and blueberries, scrambled eggs, and their chicken sausage. Yum Yum!! WOW! Try the cheeseburger w/ pepper jack cheese DLX and fresh made onion rings. And fresh made ice cream. AMAZING... Back again...trying the Club and Chicken Noodle soup. I ate a section before taking pictures. I couldn't wait! This place is awesome! New owner Scott has done wonders. And, the food is delicious. I just tried the chocolate cake...OMG!

A great local diner. Exactly what you expect from an establishment such as this. The pancakes were excellent as was the sausage and bacon. The breakfast sandwich was fine, unsure if I'd get it again. The eggs were cooked perfectly which is always a good sign! Will definitely come back!

Had to update my 4 star review from 6 years ago to give Fitzy's 5 stars, the new chef/owner has turned this into the best brunch place in Columbus! The food is outrageously good, I can't wait to bring friends here. My family's omelets and pancakes were excellent. I went with the BLT and it was THE best I have ever had, served alongside THE best onion rings I have ever had! Homemade, with an addictive seasoning. We were fans of the "old" Fitzy's, we are fanatics of the "new" Fitzy's!

Fitzy's is one of those places that seems generational - parents bringing their kids here because their parents brought them. And with good reason - service is great with friendly and helpful staff, the line cooks are outstanding with no wasted motion. Forget hibachi restaurants - this diner has a show for anyone paying attention to how their food is prepared. Prices are reasonable and everything we tried was good - the BLT was excellent with fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce and massive amounts of bacon. The pork loin sandwich was delicious with an almost schnitzel-like crust and the Works omelette was reportedly fantastic, too.

We stopped here for a breakfast and it was awesome. The food was freshly cooked and so very tasty. I can see why it gets such good reviews. The staff were really friendly and we loved the diner decor. Definitely coming again if we pass this way in the future.

Old fashioned, indeed! This diner harkens back to a different era, an era of affordability and overabundance. Large portions, friendly service, reasonable prices and pleasant atmosphere. There should be more joints like this but unfortunately, there isn't.

As most places, not the same as before the pandemic, but this one is disheartening, as we loved this joint I'm not sure if there was a manager there, I should have asked, but it felt like they wouldn't have mattered. Food was good as always, but I feel that someone might need to do closer audits of sales, especially since they couldn't run credit cards, but didn't mention this until after you had eaten your food. I'm not saying there is definitely anything shady going on, but I think that there needs to be a bit more oversight with the cash register. Also, if there is a "computer problem", mention this to customers before they order.

Food was really good! Sad they were out of the Ruben when we arrived, but the cheesesteak was delicious. Highly recommend!

Have been wanting to try Fitzy’s for years. finally, we were on that side of town so we decided to give it a try. Don’t let the looks of the place turn you off it looks like down old fashion diner, but the food is amazing. So many things to choose from. I decided to try the Reuben with fresh fruit and my husband chose the biscuits and gravy served on top of hashbrowns and eggs. So often Reubens are greasy messy falling apart. This with not the case with this one. Perfectly cooked not greasy part not too much sauerkraut not too much sauce just perfect. It was served with a substantial serving of fresh fruit, blueberries, honeydew, cantaloupe, and pineapple. I had debated between that and the chili with cornbread but was afraid that it would be too soupy But I prefer thick. I saw somebody else with the chili and it was nice and thick so it would definitely be worth a trip back. My husband enjoyed his meal, but just couldn’t finish it and I only ate half of my sandwich. Looking at the floor, we were just wondering whether it was just very very old or dirty and just hoping and praying that it was just Old and Warren not really that dirty but you be the judge.

Great breakfast and superb service. Furniture looking a little shabby and in need of some TLC. At the end of the morning not so clean. Easy parking outside.

Don’t trust the low reviews about this place. If you enjoy good food, good atmosphere, and good vibes this place is for you.

Food was pretty good. Staff was super nice, but super slow. Atmosphere was great though. Music wasn't too loud, you can watch them cook the food, and the tables are nice.

Fitzy's has evolved into a more upscale diner. It still has a little of the old vibe to it while evolving into a little more modern decor. The menu is simple, but the food is fantastic and worth the price.

Probably the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. The hot sauces they have are also ridiculously good. Just an old fashion style breakfast place with good service and a comfortable atmosphere. Been here twice and will continue to come back!

Excellent breakfast! Hubby had the all meat omelette and I had a western omelette, both full of flavor, pancakes that were fluffy and lived up to their name, and plenty of bacon, without the price being sky high. If your breakfast is between a chain restaurant, staying home to cook, and Fitzy’s, go to Fitzy’s!!!

Absolutely loved the food. I had the western omelette and hash browns they were amazing. The omelette had huge chunks of ham. My husband had the French toast he said it was delicious. The food came fast and the service was great. I will 100% be coming back with the entire family for breakfast after every football game.

My first experience here in maybe 20 years. Inedible Biscuits and Gravy with hard, burnt biscuits. Had to ask FOUR people to get my to go order. Cook whining at me that they only had two waitresses, etc. What a hot mess.

We love going to Fitzy's Diner!! Food is great, service is great, & atmosphere reminds us of the 1950s when living life was most enjoyable. The prices are more than reasonable & the portions are more than enough!
