Stayed here for several nights. It was a great experience. The rooms are well appointed with nice sectional sofas, big TVs, comfortable beds, and great lighting. The team provided excellent service. The amenities are nice. A standard gym and a big hot tub/pool with lots of space to lounge. Half of the hotel faces the horse tracks. You can wake up to see the horses being walked around the course and catch races during certain times of the year. Breakfast could be better. The team members who take care of breakfast do a great job with what they have but there could be more of a selection. Still 5 stars overall! Highly recommend!

I was going for a casino with slots. However ended up here. First and foremost. AMAZING food!!! And really well priced. Mine was only 11$ and came in delicious quantity! A big shout out to my friendly waitress who let my cook know I loved his food Next I want you to know. Jacob, John, Moua (Iโ€™m so sorry for misspelling your name) and the nice lady who had a Rainbow Sparkle gator mask on. (Blanking on name.) weโ€™re extremely funny, respectful, and helpful for blackjack. After telling them I was deaf in one ear. They all raised their voices to accommodate my needs. They were all super funny and you Truly got the feeling they enjoyed each otherโ€™s company. The way they interacted with each other in good humour in passing. So I will definitely be coming back!

Comfortable establishment for horse racing. Emphasis inside is on the poker and blackjack tables. Betting windows down to one with touchscreens replacing real people. Restaurant charges a $10 fee to use a table to eat. Menu is very very limited but their burger was quite good. Sunday racing seems to have a family/kid focus BUT with racing starting a 7pm and running until almost 11pm, itโ€™s not that family focused! Nor appropriate for a Sunday evening activity for any working people. Inside staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. Sunday schedule could be 1, 2, 3 or 4 pm rather easily.

I come for the races every race night. The bartenders and servers are above and beyond the best in the business! The feature nights benefit everything from kids, homeless to heroes! Family fun nights are the best, face painting, fishing and just fun for the kiddos. I highly recommend this for a really great date night or Family night. The hotel is just as good. Great rooms, amenities and staff.

We had a record show on the 11th of December and it's really a nice place! Had a steak and eggs for lunch and wow!! Unbelievable! Great GREAT food!! No races were going on because it was in the middle of winter but the casino was full and a poker game was going on and it looked like it would be a lot of fun. All the people who work there were unbelievably super kind to us and helped us in any way we needed!! Overall I gave this place five stars super clean super friendly great food great area for a record show hopefully we'll have more in the future for this is a great venue!!

Running Aces is a top notch casino, hotel, and racetrack just outside of Minneapolis with plenty of parking and friendly staff. Recently Lumenarius had the opportunity to install a permanent projection mapping system on the roof near the entrance and it was excellent to help light up the already gorgeous architecture. It was great to get to know the area and we look forward to seeing the place in the summer months. Thank you to the awesome team at Running Aces!

Small casino without slots. Seemed to be well run and clean. Poker room had good action for a week night along with a tournament. Casino had table games and off track wagering. The race track was live 3 nights per week and seating was adequate. Ate table side with limited menu, but food was good. I didn't like that Black Jack only paid 6/5 on table game.

Valentines' dinner and comedy. Dinner is served on the side of the bar, poor ambience. The comedies not good at all, also no one serving during the show nor are the tables set up so you can walk out and get something to drink.

I ll be back. Got a room for the family for the new yrs. The pool and the jacuzzi was awesome. Rooms, hallways outside lot was all clean. Reason for the 4 stars is their breakfast wasnโ€™t that good and limited food options compare to most hotels with a lot more breakfast options. Orange and apple juice was horrible. Other than that, it was grt

Nice place friendly staff and rooms are nice with big TVs, you can watch the horse races from the window and really get his view on the 5th floor. Kinda disappointing when checking in and giving the guy at the counter my Wyndham rewards and not even thanks or anything.

I've been to this place a few times and it's extremely under staffed. It's impossible to get help from anyone. Every employee I've dealt with was very rude and disrespectful. Will never go back. Canterbury is a much better place to visit. They have very friendly staff and a much nicer card area. This isn't a anger review, it's the truth. Check out both places and you'll see first hand what I mean. Customer service just isn't important anymore.

First time here, it was a good time. Nice/clean atmosphere and great/friendly staff.

My friend and I revived our old tradition of going to a casino after Thanksgiving dinner. I had not been to Running Aces for years and back then they didnโ€™t have much options for table games outside of poker and blackjack. The place is small in comparison to Mystic Lake casino but its proximity to St. Paul is a plus. It wasnโ€™t too busy when we went so the two of us easily found a seat for Pai Gow. Itโ€™s definitely worth a visit.

Booked it online and got a great price for the weekend. Very spacious room up on the 4th floor with king size bed, walk-in shower and great view of the racetrack. New hotel and rooms were clean and soundproof. Continental breakfast was fair and we were unaware that was part of the reservation when we booked our room. The pool, hot tub and exercise room were available for our use but we only used the hot tub. Casino adjoins the hotel and racetrack. All satisfactory. Clean rooms and pleasant staff.

Fun time. No slots. Table games only and dealer assisted electronic table games, those were fun as well. Something I've never done. Customer service at the players desk was amazing, Lacey Lynn registered us for players rewards and she was fabulous, knowledgeable and friendly and I hope your bosses realize what an amazing bright helpful person you are!

This casino is not as far as Canterbury is. This one is on the south side of Forest Lake. I played in their $90Splash Pot no-limit hold 'em tournament. The dealers know what they are doing. I say that even though I didn't do well, mainly due to getting dealt poor cards. Still, a fun experience and I will go back the next time I'm in Town.

Cool place to play blackjack poker pai gow... racetrack is open only May through September but you can bet on races from other racetracks there. Food is ok but affordable. Didnt stay here but I will try it next time I'm in Minnesota, room rates are comparable to other hotels in Saint paul

Disappointed that they don't have a regular restaurant that you can sit down and have a waitress or waiter come and take your order. The rooms have very good features like the bathroom/shower and then the chairs completely suck. The huge TV is awesome and didn't hear too much of the adjacent neighbors.

Worst concert venue I've ever experienced....Came hours early to get good seats for Josh Turner and do some slots....THIS CASINO DOES NOT HAVE ANY SLOTS. I came into the concert and sat down in a good spot , was later kicked out of my seat by security for not having a VIP pass, there were no signs, no one said anything to me when I sat down. People were later allowed to sit and stand in those areas without passes. Concert was super disorganized, nobody knew where to go to enter the event, QR codes didn't get you in, so we were told after waiting HOURS in line that we had to go leave the line to get the tickets from our QR codes. Merch Tent wasn't even set up. Sat through multiple performances only for the show to be cancelled due to the rain. I understand the weather factor not being controllable and the fact it was a fundraiser concert with Josh Turner, but we all paid to see Josh Turner and he should have at least came out to address us. Oh and no refund either. Would've at least liked to have SOME of my money back....

Haven't been back there like I should have been. I enjoy the atmosphere and pretty much all around the staff are cool. There's not a lot of places that I feel accepted and where they were willing to give my service dog another chance.

Nice hotel and casino. The horse racing was fun. Be aware, though, no slot machines!

Great food choices, generous portions! The staff at the food court is so helpful. We had so much fun playing baccarat for the first time, celebrating a 40th birthday.

My hubby and I visited on his birthday, and we enjoyed ourselves. Our blackjack dealer was super cool, helpful, and friendly, as I was inexperienced at blackjack. Another employee helped us sign up for their player card and was very kind and explained everything very well. Great views of the track from the main room. We'll be back!

Only saw the races, but an awesome experience that anyone can enjoy. Walk in, get a program for $1, and hang out near the track. Family friendly. Loved it!

Had good experience with table but 2 star rating came from bar tender. Bar tender must be having bad day or night and took it out on me and my other 10 friends. Service was bad ( sat for 10 mins without any service) than when service we got the wrong drink. Heineken is Green and Corona is yellow. Come on miss Bar tender. Anyway casino needs to really help their employees with customer service. I will not be coming to this casino any more, rather drive 1 hrs to mystic lake instead.

Absolutely love it. Manager comped me a king suite after I simply asked the front desk. Stayed for 3 nights along with other discounts. Won over $800 with $50 start at Texas hold em.

Plenty of parking, staff friendly, fellow customers all seemed to be having fun. The five adults and two children in my group all had a great time, ate at one of the food trucks, placed a couple $2 bets, watched the races and some of the card games. We will be going back to maybe fish in the stocked tank and perhaps go to the casino across the road. There is hotel near and adult beverages at running aces, plus a restaurant. Dress is casual but I did see a few with Kentucky derby style attire including the hats.

This place used to be pretty great. The lack of good promotions is what makes the rating lower. They need new $2chips. The staff is pretty down to earth and friendly. Most dealers are solid as well. The dealers that are not great are fairly terrible however. Make this place the place to be again.

Great spot to watch a game or horse racing and have something to drink. The food is good as well. We didn't play the table games but if you're feeling lucky there are several games to play if you want. Will return again for the atmosphere.

Nice room. Had a king with a bar over the entrance. Not the best view and I could hear loud guest standing out from. I couldn't figure out how to turn off the light embedded in the headboard. Breakfast might as well of been from a chain motel. I expected more. The staff who checked me in seemed annoyed. Needs some customer service training. Also not a very good pantry selection for a hotel not surrounded by anything.

Didn't do any gambling. 13 family members went there for dinner. Prices were reasonable. Food was great. Service was better! I felt like it was a lot to ask from a small staff and small kitchen. All the food came out hot and at the same time. They crushed it!
