👍👍 Beautiful area that has a couple of trails that are easy. One will take you alongside the Olentangy River. The parking area is decent size but not any restrooms or a playground. People often mention river, park, Beautiful, walk, trails, view, access, trail, short, area,

Beautiful place for a hike. There's a hill you have to climb back out, so take that into consideration

Nice walk down the Eagle View Trail to the Sycamore Trail and along the Olentangy River. One of my favorite trails to walk with my dog

I drive by it all the time and have never stopped until today. It’s a beautiful little spot with indigenous plants and bench swings to enjoy the view.

Nice, quaint secluded little metro park nature trail. Very short trails if you are looking for a short walk with some hills.

Beautiful. This is not connected to the rest of Highbanks Easr of the Olentangy River. There is a short path that takes you along the river and some meadow space. It is quiet and peaceful. I have seen several different birds including a wild turkey.

This park features a nice trail, great for kids, as it’s not too long in length. A small hill and then down by the river and back. Great walk that you can end up stretching into a mile.

This was my first time coming here. I thought I'd see how the fishing was. It's a beautiful walk to the river but it was real low. I waded a bit to try and find some fishable pools but didn't catch anything. Oh well... better than sitting home on the couch I guess!😉

A beautiful small park on the banks of the Olentangy River. Just North of the Hills Market you'll find a nice loop path to the river. A gravel path to the bottom of the hill leads to the grass Sycamore Trail that runs along the river. Probably under a mile in total but given the terrain it feels like a mile, especially when you have to go uphill at the end. Enjoy!

Made a trip here to view the fall foliage and was pleasantly surprised. There are a number of trails of different lengths to either hike or run on. Most of the trails are within forested areas. I would come here often if I didn't live over an hour away.

My wife and I I know new puppy Miss Molly, woke highbanks every morning 1 mile 7 days a week. We treat the park as a personal Garden. We watched it grow over the years, almost 40 years. I never cease to Marvel other quality the beauty iMac air with which the park is treated by the workers the Wardens and the people privileged to use the park.

Love this new area of high banks. We used to have to hike all the way down the river from the main park to get to this area

Easy access off SR315, beautiful views from ravine , quiet with nice finished walkway. Parking close by, short walk to path.

Beautiful vista, nice place to take a quick walk. I'm hopeful they will be able to expand this area. They have placed a canoe entry sign so I am excited to give that a shot too!

One of the trails was flooded today which others have mentioned... Didn't get to enjoy the near river portion today due to wanting to keep my shoes dry

Honestly just came for the view. And it did not disappoint! Didn't go deep into the park though.

Beautiful, as soon as I got down to the water I saw a Doe and her fawn crossing the river it was like a scene from the discovery Channel.

A narrow green trail along the river but surprisingly quiet and calm! Large wetland tall grass area mixed with young sycamore woods.

Perfect place for a short hike or to just sit on a swing at the top of the bluff. Beautiful

A short loop trail that leads down to a river with views of some woods and private homes. The park is off a major road, traffic is loud and often congested making it difficult to get in and out of this park. Usually very crowded like every other park in Columbus.

This park is listed by ODNR is having kayak/canoe access to the river. Technically, that is true, but the fairly lengthy, looping trail along the river, has only primitive mudslide access to the river. Great park to sit on the benches for a peaceful view, but not for river access.

ok food for the price but had to wait 45 minutes just to have food delivered to the table & had to ask for flatware to eat. my food was luke warm but by then I was so tired that I ate what I could & left the rest since it was cold by then.

Easy trails but closes earlier than the park on the other side of the river. Closes at 5:30 p.m.

Trail wasn't very long or too nice but the views of the river banks were absolutely worth it- an amazing view!

  • 5/5 Shane H. 3 years ago on Google
Beautiful trails. Access to the river when the water is low. Just relaxing and quiet. You forget there is a major highway close by.

Nice big sky and good place for bird watching. Trails by river are fairly boring and watch your step for big roots everywhere to trip you up.

Great views and limitless access to the river. I did not enjoy tripping on one of the dozens of tiny tree stumps in the middle of the Sycamore Trail. Those should be properly ground down for safety purposes.
