They say they can't go back to 24 hours because of staffing issues, but they keep firing people who *are* doing their jobs. Seems like this happens every three months or so. Day shift, with the exception of one or two people, act like you're bothering them every time you ask for something. Really frustrated and disappointed. Some people can't get an entire workout in unless we come in at 3 or 4 a.m., not even to mention the rudeness of other shifts. Get it together, Planet Fitness. _______________________________________ Update: The hours on Google have been changed back to 24 hours, but they are actually only open 24/5. New 3rd shift crew is really awesome! I really hope they go back to 24/7 soon... _______________________________________ Super frustrated about the sudden hour change. The sign says the new hours are temporary, but they've already been changed on Google. Hoping they go back to 24 hours. Otherwise I know I'll have to cancel my membership. I am curious as to what happened to the 3rd shift crew. They were awesome... Other shifts seem kind of rude and abrasive, or they just ignore the customer. The 3rd shift employees were always very pleasant. I am really disappointed to be changing my review from 5 stars to 3, but between the rude employees and the hour change, it is truly frustrating.

    Staff is great, friendly and always busy. Not anymore, sadly I have to change my review. Went to workout and walked from the counter to the elliptical, about 15feet, WITHOUT A MASK! I probably killed like 40 people. Not really, but that is what you’d think by the way I was treated by the staff here. A guy walks up to me two min into my workout after the guy at the desk told on me. This guy proceeded to berate me for walking, yes WITHOUT A MASK! Even telling me that he might cancel my membership for it! Sad how these kids act when you give them one ounce of power. Funny thing though, as I worked out I watched member after member walk all around the gym without a mask. For some reason the staff felt no urgency to tell them to put on a mask. Not sure why I was targeted but nevertheless the management of this gym better get their staff together and make sure they treat everyone equally. You either care that people are wearing masks or you don’t, and you don’t talk to people who’ve been a member for 5 years like that.

    I work a crazy schedule and always enjoyed coming to this location. However, apparently they can’t Can’t keep staff around to keep this “24 hour” gym open 24 hours. They Close at 10pm Maybe if they would pay people more to work there they would be able to keep staff.

    I have been to other Planet Fitness locations from Denver to Puerto Rico and have always had a great experience until I experienced the Staff at Planet Fitness on Sawmill Road in Columbus Ohio. The staff at this location is by far the most rude I’ve experienced at any gym. They are argumentative and create a sense of intimidation at the front desk by ganging up (3 staff members) to (1 customer) if you have a question regarding your account. My experience at this location has me questioning if I even want to be a planet fitness customer at any location ever again.

    Last year at this time, Planet Fitness opened the Sawmill club to free visits by high school students. This was a terrible idea and I learned from the GM that this will be done this summer as well. As a regular member this free invite spoils the atmosphere of the workout - it has the same atmosphere as a high school social event. PF is doing a dis-service to regular members. Often I go the Sawmill gym in the early afternoon to avoid the work/evening crowd and now at this time I will encounter "throngs" (literally) of high school students. What is the point of doing this? The paid members certainly don't gain anything. Please re-consider and discontinue this harmful idea.

    A few weeks ago I went on a Saturday (first time I've been on Saturday) and was lifting free weights. Suddenly an extremely loud alarm starts going off a few feet away from me. Luckily I was resting because if I was mid set I probably would have dropped weights onto myself. The alarm was extremely loud and I even had ear buds in. It's louder than a fire alarm and non stop for like 45 seconds. There are no pauses it's literally like an air horn for 45 seconds. I thought something malfunctioned or there was a crisis. No one seemed panicked but I saw a few people head to the door. So I looked on my phone and saw that they closed at 7pm (which I was unaware of). It's completely fine to close at 7pm or whenever they choose it's their business but to blast an alarm to kick people out while they are lifting weights is dangerous, rude, and completely unnecessary. How hard would it be to take a minute or 2 to walk around and tell people you are closing? Or make a few announcements over the intercom? I don't know if that's standard procedure to ring the alarm at closing or if someone did it because they were lazy but it needs to stop. There is no need to hurd people out like sheep. We are human beings and know how to communicate. And that alarm is extremely loud especially when you are right next to it. Save the alarm for a crisis and take down the lunk signs. You're trying to promote inclusivity while being exclusive. It's a gym not a library. And the loudest people there are you guys ringing that alarm for no reason. Other than that I love this gym, it's always clean, it gets busy but there are always machines open. Staff is nice. Have never had a problem with anything other than an anxiety attack from an unnecessary alarm going on.

    Some of the staff are rude and don't know what they're doing. The place has went down hill. The paper towels are missing from many cleaning stations, you have to tell them for replacement. They act as if you're bothering them and keeping them from texting on a cell phone. The bathrooms are nasty,black toilets to hide the filth. My husband and I have been harassed by a few particular girls when checking in. I have a pf black card that allows me to bring any guest. My only guest has been my husband for years, suddenly it's been a problem to give them my guest's phone number to check in. They tell us we have to have a guest card. One girl would not let us in, i had to tell her to get someone else to help just to get in. That girl just put in my husbands phone number and just like that , no problem. A select few are being nasty because I questioned them about a guest card. I have been going to this club many years and looking past the negatives because the membership is so cheap. I can no longer look past the few rude people when checking in. How does someone get a hold of the franchise owner of this particular club? Terrible management! Hire people that actually have people skills.

    They keep losing employees and the hours get more and more sporadic. Been this way for over a year now. The management needs to start paying more to retain employees because I’m on the verge of canceling my plan. The ONLY reason I got a planet fitness membership over a YMCA membership was the 24 hour access. I’ve been giving them grace since the pandemic started but this is absolutely ridiculous. HANDLE YOUR BUSINESS BETTER PF MANAGEMENT Update: spoke to the regional supervisor about their terrible employee retention and she was visibly angry and standoffish when I mentioned raising their wages. She admitted the pay was low but suggested I “see if I have any friends who need a job”. She also refused to connect me to anyone above her because “this was as high up as [i] was gonna get”. And “if I keep pushing things I’m gonna have to talk to her again”. She also stated that none of the planet fitnesses will go back to 24/7 until they’re all at at least 24/5. So honestly, they may as well scrape off the “24/7” decals from their windows because it’s blatant false advertising at this point.

    3 Stars. 1 good staff. 2 always clean. 3 good location. Although this gym has good enviorement, people are not gym weirdos, it's amazingly always clean, this gym is very small. Can't handle the amount of people going there. If you go to this gym. Be prepared to do lines, wait for machines, benches and all kind of stuff to use. While your muscles gets cold and lose all kind of progress done while you wait. You end up doing 2.5 hours in a 1.5 hour routine. It' just stupid. As of 06/23/2023 this is still happening and only gets worse.

    Well while I liked this gym and main reason why I and my son joined was it was 24/7 now it is no longer. We will be looking for another gym. Update since I can’t directly respond to owner: you took away the time that fits my schedule so no you won’t be seeing me until it goes back to 24 hours.

    Planet fitness sucks in general and this location is no exception. Their hours have been slashed and it’s impossible to workout late nights like I used to, especially on weekends. The gym is dirty and old. The staff is okay, but I’ve had some poor experiences with them In the pst. No major altercations though. Lastly, this gym is so crowded all the time. The only reason I’ve been a member is because I need to workout late nights and this is the only gym that has enough equipment and is open so late. I hope someone opens up a better gym and puts you out of business. Until then, I’m all yours ❤️

    This location was great when it first opened but for the last couple of years the staff have become progressively more rude for no understandable reason. Cancelled my membership, will look for a gym where basic human respect and some semblance of customer service exists.

    I'm gonna be honest here. The first time I came to the Dublin location I told my boyfriend I didn't want to come back. The staff was rude and I felt judged for only using my membership for tanning, total body fitness and massages. However I kept going back because they have the stand up bed for tanning AND the lady down beds. I went again tonight and 100% Rachael made sure that my ENTIRE EXPERIENCE was top tier. Not only that she took the time to explain answers to questions I asked at my first visit. She didn't give the generic answer "that's just what they tell us" or "that's just what we're allowed". She was more informative, kind, respectful and friendly than the first visit. There was another guy who was on his FIRST NIGHT OF TRAINING yesterday and he also was very kind and apologized for the rude service I had received when I thanked him for being so kind. He was also being trained by Rachael. The two of them are for sure going to be the reason I keep coming back to this location Update. The same guy who was rude the first time decided to play games. I went back to tan and he put me in a dirty bed, I said something, they put me in a stand up bed, I said at it for 9 minutes. It was on for 2 minuets and went off. They told me I could not tan because it register that I already tanned for the day. I have not been back to that location and only been to planet fitness ONCE in hilliard in the past month

    Rude staff who don’t know their job clearly! Terrible management! We were interested in one month of membership for the time we are visiting family in Columbus. One of the staff suggested us that we can sign up for the black membership, use its guest pass benefits, and then cancel the membership the next day. They said this way we can use our membership for the rest of the month. We didn’t even know there was such an option, they suggested us to do so! We did the same thing as we were told, and canceled our membership the next day. Then two days later when we were trying to check in, we were told that our membership has been canceled and we can’t use the gym. And when we told them that we did what exactly what they suggested us to do, then suddenly 2 managers appeared to the front, and they kept saying we are no longer a member and we need to leave! They insisted all the staff know their jobs and didn’t even acknowledge that we did exactly what was offered to us! They didn’t even listen to us! They acted like we were making a scene, while insulting us in a very calm manner, making us look the bad people there! The staff at this Planet Fitness center provided misleading information about the membership, leading to confusion and inconvenience. And all the managers had to say was we were making a scene, we needed to leave and that their staff know their job!

    Well looks like the entire 3rd shift has been fired AGAIN! Which they were AWESOME, ALWAYS helpful, never acted annoyed like the afternoon staff does whenever you ask to use the amenities you PAY extra for….. I don’t understand why this is such a problem! Well I guess I’ll be looking for another gym & def letting people know about this particular facility! Do better Planet Fitness!!!

    Would give it 0 stars if possible. I joined planet fitness and then immediately canceled when I found out my son was too young to join with me. Stan working there told me okay, he will take care of the cancellation and I won't be charged anything. Planet Fitness goes on to charge me $10 the first month and over $50 the second month (where did that amount come from?). I call and the manager Gabby confirms Stan was supposed to have me complete a paper cancellation form or complete it online with me. I advise he never did, there were people there to witness. The business finally responded to the BBB complaint, but only after I posted this google review, and they have refunded my money. Unfortunately, my experience was with incompetent, dishonest, and unprofessional employees.

    The facility is very clean, not too busy if you go at the right time, and they have a good selection of machines to use. They also have a stretching/abs section, and a 30-minute workout room where you just go from machine to machine when the red light changes do you can get in a rounded workout quickly. The locker rooms are spacious and again, very clean.

    I'd love to give a higher rating but frankly the hours are asinine. After two years of gym restrictions not one planet fitness in central Ohio is open 24/7, and as someone who has to work odd hours and can only go late in the evening it's beyond frustrating to deal with. I'm genuinely considering cancelling my membership after five years because despite having a black card it's impossible for me to find an open gym during the hours I need half of the time.

    The staff and facilities are excellent for people with disabilities! Its best to go late at night, as you can take more time going from machine to machine but from the machines, to the locker rooms to space available for and genuine welcome of service dogs, planet fitness is most ADA compliant and safe for people with disabilities. Highly recommend.

    This is a joke of a gym. If you want to go to a gym that opens on time you are better off finding some place else. I have tried to go 30 minutes after they open only to find out they are closed. When I called later in the day I was told the manager was late and that happens sometimes. Save your money and go somewhere else!

    Drove all of the way to PF and realized when I got there that I forgot my mask. Hoping that they would have one for me to wear inside, I went in. Upon entering, I was asked if I had one to which I replied “no, I was going to see if you did”. They did not. Not a SOUL in the gym was wearing their masks while walking around or while exercising. I was turned away and asked to leave. This is not the first experience of poor customer service I have experienced at this location. Do better. Especially for a loyal Black Card Member.

    Just today, a handle of one of the jacked up power rack failed in my hand because of a cut cable. It seems that no inspection has been done on their equipments for along time, or whoever done the inspection did not know what he was doing. I was lucky enough to not get injured or killed.

    Facilities are fine, but management and some of the staff are rude. I've had very positive experiences with some of the staff, but the management talked down to me the entire time I was trying to change my membership plan. I understand they have company policies they can't work around and it's not their faults. I apologized for being difficult, but I made it clear to them from yhe start I was simply trying to avoid the least amount of payments because the rules around when you can change memberships and with the start up fees changing randomly without them knowing anything about it. When trying to have simple conversation with staff I was completely ignored by staff. There is miscommunication from staff as I've been able to get a membership through a staff member the first time, but the second time I was pushed away and when asked why I couldn't apply through a person and had to use the app, I was simply told I had to without any logical reasoning. I'll happily come and get my workout in cause it's planet fitness and it's the cheapest gym around. But the staff needs to do better.

    I hope this finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern about an incident that occurred recently at sawmill Road gym location, which has left me feeling disheartened and disappointed with the current state of affairs. As a member who was a part of the Planet Fitness community for years, I have always appreciated the welcoming environment and the professionalism displayed by your staff, especially during Stan's tenure. Under his management, the gym ran seamlessly, and incidents were minimal. However, in the past three months, I have witnessed a significant decline in customer service, cleanliness, and professionalism at the gym. The incident on 1-1-24 between 12:30 and 1 pm involving a minor disagreement between two guests was mishandled and blown severely out of proportion by not only the manager but also by two new employees, whose conduct was concerning. (The video needs to be reviewed when the manager screams out does anybody else have anything to say and threatens to trespass people just watching the seen she has created) I had nothing to do with the situation simply looked at one person and said they’ve been here two weeks they’ll be gone by February! The lack of effective customer service has been evident, notably with the cleanliness standards in the massage room, gym area, and tanning beds. Dust accumulation and overall filth have become noticeable, which is distressing given the high standards I have come to expect from Planet Fitness the last few years. What concerns me most is the discriminatory behavior displayed by some staff members. I have witnessed paying guests being targeted, spoken about disrespectfully, and threatened with trespassing simply for expressing valid concerns about the management of the incident. This not only tarnishes the reputation of your establishment but also amounts to defamation of character for loyal patrons. I am writing this letter not to criticize but to express my genuine concern and disappointment. The environment that was once inclusive and accommodating has now become hostile and uninviting. As a long-term member who values the Planet Fitness community, I implore you to address these issues promptly and restore the standards of excellence and professionalism that once defined this gym. I believe that with the right actions, including retraining staff on customer service and hygiene protocols, implementing stricter cleanliness standards, and fostering a more inclusive and respectful atmosphere, we can restore Planet Fitness to its former glory. I appreciate your attention to these matters and sincerely hope for positive changes that will benefit all members of the gym community. After writing this letter, I was told I was siding with the aggressor, funny the only aggressors in this situation was the employees gabby and the manager lacy as well as The main aggressor, screaming at the top of her lungs was Makiya. I was banned from the gym and not followed up with management. Customer service And management training is subliminal. Do not expect to be treated in any kind of professional manner. This is the McDonald’s of gyms and they are living up to their name. All in all go to crunch or Esporta much better gyms That truly don’t judge!!!

    The gym itself is great and so is the staff but covid is long over and it still isn't 24/7. The gym closes at 10pm on Fridays and at 7 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, however on their doors they still have it advertised as 24/7. it is very frustrating especially as someone who works nights.

    I am here on a regular basis. This is a very good place to get a workout. It is up to you because they have everything you need. Fun atmosphere and a great staff of team members that meet and greet you often. Bathrooms could be cleaner at times. I like that they are open 24 hours a day seven days a week. But it is very busy between 6 and seven most days.

    It's a gym. You go there to work out and then you leave. Don't make a scene and people will not bother you. It's pretty simple. They have a good variety of equipment, but half of it is a cardio area (usually never in full capacity). The weight training area can get busy though, so you might have to time your workout accordingly because someone might be on a machine you need to use.

    I haven’t even stepped foot in the club and I am canceling the membership. 2weeks after I signed up their third party billing company charged me $2,693 instead of 26.93. When I called to talk to someone they told me I had to leave a message and someone would get back to me. No one got back to me. Now I’m out of the state and trying to cancel my membership and I have to now mail in a certified letter to cancel. Never one used the club and it has caused me more problems than any other gym I have belonged to. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

    Genuinely love this gym. One of the main reasons why I keep going to this one in particular is the staff (the ones who usually are there around 10AM /11AMish). They’re always so kind and willing to help with whatever. The gym is very well maintained and there’s always something to do even at their peak times. You guys are amazing :)

    Anyone who is looking to get healthy in the New Year, no matter your fitness goal, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND looking into Planet Fitness!! They have plenty of cardio machines ranging from ellipticals, treadmills, bikes, etc to free weights and weight machines, and separated areas for ab workouts and "express 30min workouts". The reason I switched to this location was the organization of the machines/exercises, the very clean locker rooms, the massaging chairs, friendly staff and all of the machines were in working order (can't say that about LA Fitness).. starting at $10, or $25 for the premium membership which pays for itself in added benefits!

    The gym is great and so are people who work there. My problem is that they replaced all the old TV's with new ones, but 5 of them are not on. I asked if they can put the NFL on or other games. these stations are the local ones. rumor has it that the upper management has done this and the staff can't do anything about it. Pretty sad for such a nice place that i enjoy going to. I'm tired od cooking shows, rehab houses and NASA channels. . .

    Lost my keys last week and I knew they were somewhere inside the gym. I asked the employees to check the lost and found on 3 separate occasions, to which they did graciously. Lindsay even offered to help me go through the trash! I found them a few days later down in the guide well on the seated leg press. Everyone there is always pleasant and helpful and the location is kept very clean.

    Incompetent management, not to mention scummy/predatory company policies. I don’t live near a planet fitness anymore, and tried to cancel which included transferring home gyms. Of course there’s a waiting period so they’ll hope you’ll forget and they can continue you charging money. Go to literally any other gym before a planet fitness.

    I used to frequent the Sawmill PF till about September when I decided to phase out of using that gym when some ladies named Lydia and Gabby became more prominent at the location both always dodged what their titles actually were but they were managers of some sort, within weeks I started noticing the employees who were very personable for a long time start to become distant and frustrated, no matter what shift I came in on the staff always had foul moods based on something that Lydia said. Two very cheerful and friendly guys on third shift who are sadly no longer employed with the company would entertain my questions about the working environment the younger of the two who worked on third shift told me of them making an effort to fire him because he left early so he could get some sleep because Planet Fitness doesn't pay their employees and living wage and it saddened me to hear some went to food banks because they had to choose to pay their bills or eat. Before I stopped going there was an employee named Caelyn who was getting promoted and she was an absolute doll she was inspirational and friendly even days I came in with minimal drive to accomplish what I wanted she made me feel like I belonged, I wish there were more people like her at Planet Fitness and I hope that she's being treated well along with the very few others who worked at this location that made going to the gym more tolerable

    I have been a Planet Fitness member for 3 years. Today, i was in my way out of the gym when an employee approached me making some outrageous allegation. she warned me if that will happen again she will ban me from the gym. When i expressed my frustration and asked for a manager she redirected me to an other teenager who start yelling at me asking me to leave his establishment or calling the police. Congratulation Planet Fitness you reached the bottom.

    Sadly, this PF location has take a serious nosedive over the past 6 months! - weights not returned by members - people hoarding multiple sets of dumbbells or machines for extended amounts of time while other members wait - people walking around in “slides” (open toe flip-flops) as if they are at the beach - people talking on or staring at their phones while sitting on equipment while others wait…even video chatting while walking around the place - cable accessories in disarray and laying all over the place, cluttering the areas around the cable machines - machines have moved with use and are out of place and not positioned correctly These are just a few observations myself and others routinely witness and discuss. I have politely brought all the above up to the staff and have seen no change or positive results! The members should be held accountable by the staff to get off their phones, dress appropriately, put equipment away and be courteous to other members by not monopolizing/hoarding multiple dumbbells and equipment!     I visit some time ago and got a membership I haven't yet to visit but I was impressed about the equipment and also a manager at the desk very nice he showed us around I will talk more on this later

    Your basic Planet Fitness. Lots of mirror gazing, teenage stock brokers and money managers glued to market trends and critical financial moves by staring at their phones 📱 (or so I assume) More disinfectant spray and soggy wipe downs than the Chernobyl clean up.

    Do they offer spray tanning? I saw on Tiktok some PF locations offer spray tanning with the black membership. I would love to sign up if they offer spray tan . Also would like to know if they're truly open 24/7 or not

    I love how some locations are 24 hrs. All the latest equipment and lots of machines so you never have to wait. Shower room and locker room/restrooms are always clean.

    Love it here! It’s come so far! I cannot tell you how blessed Planet Fitness is to have the new manager Racheal! She’s always hyping up the members as they come in and sends out every member with positivity! Oh, and when I tell you she’s building a reliable and strong staff, I LOVE IT and other members do too. We notice! PF GIVE THIS WOMAN A RAISE AND KEEP HER! Double minority really dedicating her life to her role. I can’t imagine the time she’s missed from her kiddos and the irony of it all, I can only guess it’s ALL for them in the end! PF, your competition is hearing a lot about her, you’ve heard it from the grapevine! Love it here! Thank you Racheal for EVERYTHING. You are appreciated!

    The staff are friendly but let you do your own thing. There are plenty of machines and decent free weight section. There are no problems in the parking lot either.

    Great place to work out, love the New staff! They’re very nice and they’re always cleaning. Only one thing i wish that they should put in punching bag or speed bag that would be great!

    Excellent Gym. New equipment. Never crowded. Cleanest Gym I have ever been too. Friendly employees, very knowledgeable. No pressure gym. Great lockroom.

    This place worth more than LifeTime fitness. Very clean and professional staff. I love everything about this gym. It has enough equipment for high volume of people.

    Overall a pretty good gym with a well laid out floor plan. I went later in the evening so it wasn't too busy but everything was clean including the bathrooms. Also the showers had very good water pressure. Would definitely go back again.

    Well, we took the plunge and got a black membership at PF. Rachel is the best. She helped us out from beginning to end. Nice clean environment. Glade we joined!
