Classically decorated with monarchy appeal. The Southern Theatre welcomes all types of concerts. The sounds that repel from the walls you will be able to hear and feel the entertainment. Nicely carpeted that compliments the theatre. Nice and friendly staff. Meter parking and nearby by parking garages.

Neat Victorian style theater built in the 1890s. We attended a performance of Handles Messiah here and it was amazing! The Lancaster Choir is very talented and performed a masterpiece!

Absolutely beautiful theater! Big, not as big as it looks in photos but still a really nice size. Everything inside is beautiful and rhe attention to detail is stunning. I saw a comedy show here and it was great! Wonderful entertainer and wonderful sound system and acoustics.

Cozy theater with renovated bathrooms. Theater seats are original and very thin for width with almost no leg room. I am 6'4" and ended up sitting in the aisle on the step so I could stretch my legs. Acoustics were very good. Small snack stand with basic drinks and candy.

This theater is small but very cute. Perfect for an affordable date night that still provides an excuse to get dressed up.

We went there to Justin Heyward and the acoustics there were awesome. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful old theatre and you should definitely go there .

What a great intimate venue for music or plays. Beautiful old architecture and excellent acoustics. Much nicer than the uncomfortable Ohio Theater.

Beautiful theater! We enjoyed being able to see Charlie Berens there. Only issue we ran into was that my Husband is 6' 4" and was scrunched. Either they were just shorter back when the theater was built, or they didn't really care how uncomfortable they were. I'm a foot shorter and I was a bit uncomfortable. Other than that it was absolutely beautiful inside.

Had an amazing time seeing Tig Notaro, who put on an incredible show, but was equally impressed with this 125 year old historical theatre.

Visited the Southern Theatre for a performance by the Columbus Children's Theater. Any visit to the Southern Theatre is a good visit. It's a beautiful venue with a rich history. And the performance this visit was wonderful -- the live musicians in the orchestra pit added so much to the experience!

My wife and I were here for a show on 9/22/22 and had an amazing experience. She had just found out that her knee was fractured the morning of the concert. I myself am also legally blind and as such rely on her to help me get around in crowded areas. We had seats way up in the second balcony, and her knee made it quite difficult for us to get all the way up there. Even worse, once we got up to our seats, she was unable to sit properly due to there not being enough room for her fully extended leg in a leg brace. Lucky I thought to ask if there was anything that could be done. This was when James saved the day. He said he would see if there was anything he could do, and he managed to find us two seats that not only had enough room to accommodate my wife's leg brace, but also put us much closer so that i was able to see the show better. James really went above and beyond for us and helped make the concert a truly memorable one. Thank you again James!

This is a great place to see shows. It isn't too big so every seat is decent. Maybe don't sit in the upper balcony as it is downright scary near the edge, and there is no room to get in and out once people are seated, but hey, if the price is right... Also, there is a parking garage right across the street that is easy to get in and out of. There is even a "crossing guard" that holds up traffic so people can cross the road. The staff here also seems to be top notch. They are friendly and hold the doors open. There was even someone posted in the garage to take the prepaid tickets and put them in the machine which helps speed up the process of getting out of the garage. Really, the little things add up.

Beautiful theater. I had a wonderful time when I visited this weekend. The chairs were comfortable, but a little low, and it could be difficult for some to sit and stand. The acoustics were good, and the staff was helpful and friendly. They sell refreshments, but the selection is very limited and costly. Overall a good experience, and will purchase tickets again in the future.

This is a beautiful venue. The concert Jorma Kaukonen and Tommy Emmanuel was fantastic. Two masters of the guitar!

We went to see the opera Carmen. The Southern is gorgeous! Seats were in the top of the center mezzanine and we could see and hear well.
