👍👍 Nice big library. Well staffed. Security guards patrolled. Surprisingly clean and very welcoming despite the homeless hanging out at the entrance. Open concept with lots of natural light coming in. Feels like a large shopping store, like a Macy. There’s an area for everyone, all ages, and interest... Nice big library. Well staffed. Security guards patrolled. Surprisingly clean and very welcoming despite the homeless hanging out at the entrance. Open concept with lots of natural light coming in. Feels like a large shopping store, like a Macy. There’s an area for everyone, all ages, and interests. Great children area. Lots of sitting area throughout the three floor. You can reserve meeting rooms. Sign up for a library card in person or online. Process was quick and simple.

We love the main library! I have wonderful memories of coming here as a kid, and now I get to create those memories with my daughter. Love how warmly we are always greeted (“Hi, friends!”). The building itself is just absolutely beautiful. My daughter likes to walk the stairs to the 3rd floor so that she can look down at everything. And, of course, she also loves the children’s section. When we were there this past weekend, they had some eggs that were getting ready to hatch and one of the librarians took the time to talk to my daughter about what was going to happen. There is a big school bus for the kids to play on, as well as some blocks and coloring materials. After we pick out our books, she loves to go for a walk around the topiary garden. Overall, just a great way to spend part of a day!

What an INCREDIBLE library. I was already extremely jealous of how widespread and established the Columbus library branches were, but this place really just floored me. Expansive, open, closed study spaces, extensive genealogy and local history section, easy access, simple parking ,everything that you would hope for and more from a main branch is here. Puts libraries at other larger cities (fort worth, for example) absolutely to shame. 10/10

Always a fantastic place to bring kids. The library staff are so kind and friendly. There's no shortage of kiddo book recs and the interactive play spaces for kids are just fantastic. You feel like you don't have to constantly shush when in the kid space. Great space for meeting rooms and individual study. Beautiful view of the topiary garden next door. Great cafe. Such a wonderful place to go in Columbus.

This is a very nice library, especially in the winter! The trains are very nice, it’s lots of fun to watch them go around the track. There is an incredible collection of books for you to choose from. The library has a very nice aesthetic that kids and adults can both appreciate.

The main library in downtown Columbus has expanded so much through the years. The building and park area in front of the library are still well maintained and a pleasure to visit.

This place is great. There is a great kids area where they have story time and activities for the little ones. There is a parking garage attached to the library. Use it. It’s 50¢ an hour. If you know park across the street it’s around $10.

I love visiting the main branch of the CML. It's beautiful and bright, with lots of space to wander or read. Their regular collection isn't much larger than other smaller branches. But there's tons of study rooms and meetings spaces, as well as computers and other technology. The staff is always willing to answer questions, too. I will say that the dinosaurs they have on display right now are very annoying. The sounds echo throughout the library and it's very disruptive.

I have been here dozens of times over and over. From a little girl, up to post graduate research and study. The most quaint, resourceful place to get knowledge and inspiration downtown! I would love to see the CML host more events to support learning and development. Hopefully after all the health risks and restrictions are lifted, we'll see more of it

The main library is awesome. Beautiful space and so much for kids and adults! This time of year is the best because they have the Huntington train set up. Staff is extremely nice and eager to help.

I went to the library to see an art exhibit. The staff was extremely welcoming. I did notice quite a few security and police around. The art was awesome and the building was very clean.

Great place to study or read. Really nice pavilion to sit out in the summer. Food trucks and live music on sundays!

The main Columbus library is one of the most big and beautiful libraries I’ve ever seen! The architecture alone is breathtaking. They also have most books you probably won’t be able to find in the smaller branches. Even if you don’t read, come for the beauty of the building! 😍

The security be harassing you honestly. They follow you around and treat you as if you like some kind of criminal. It's a library. The books are free to check out... But they never seem to have a problem with all the high school kids from next door that come over running around, screaming yelling obscenities and fighting. Honestly, it's not as ghetto as the one on high Street but it's not too far off either.

I LOVE this library. There is always so much to do while there. 3 stories of beautifully maintained workspaces, study rooms, and rows and rows up on books. A separate children's area with a toddler play place among many other activities. You can absolutely spend all day here and for free! The holidays are always so fun because their displays are beautiful 😍

I had not been to the main library yet and it absolutely exceeded expectations! The giant windows were everything, there were plenty of spaces to sit and work and you had plenty of space to spread yourself out. A beautiful library I will be back to!

This is incredible. Such beauty in the building. The library offers a tremendous about of media. From Hotspots to room reservations to children art classes. Also discount tickets for the zoo and Clippers. I've had my library card for years but I've never been to this one downtown. Matthew (and his coworkers, I didn't catch their names) were so kind to me and explained the history behind the building as well as the benefits of my card. There's a cafe' available and outside pavilion. I don't want the word to get out, I want it all to myself. Well done Columbus!
