Midtown Medical Center Emergency Room

Emergency room Emergency care service

😠 Been sitting in waiting room for 2 hours and 23 mins. Have not been called back. Not told a wait time? This is absolutely absurd. This hospital needed to get it together. Workers are playing around and not getting new patients in system fast enough. To many guess what I did yesterday conversations... People often mention told, room, emergency, care, treated, waiting, time, medical, staff,

This review is solely based off of my initial contact with this particular hospital. I was in dire need of some medical attention in which I was denied service in the entire city of eufaula 🤦🏽‍♂️. So I made the decision to drive myself to Columbus which was about 50 miles away just to get seen for an urgent emergency. These guys treated me well and was very responsive to my needs big or small. They finally gave the news that something actually was wrong so shame on eufaula Alabama emergency room for denying service. If you ever if need or help I would recommend this place to anyone

Only one nurse on the floor and a waiting room full of sick or injured people. Staff was rude, and I left before I could get treated. I would rather be in poor health than wait in this facility. They’re obviously understaffed, which is likely a result of their lack of respect for the personal medical decisions of their staff and an adherence to unconstitutional government mandates. Radiating pain from lower back and down to the foot with uncontrolled bowel movements apparently wasn’t that big of an issue. Go anywhere but here.

We were there for a while in emergency waiting. I can understand severe cases take precedence. Smbulanxe, emergency procedures, etc., are occurring, although we are waiting and becoming frustrated. So, I will honestly state we did have a few hour wait. However, at check-in, we were met with an excellent staff who made us feel at home. They mentioned biting the spider back and were super kind and helpful. Then the nurse we were blessed with showed us absolute graceful, truly genuine concern, went the extra mile, and made us feel like we were concierge patients. You do not get that often anymore. The provider was a great listener and made an extra effort to check to be sure our concerns about what it was weren’t the concern although I could tell he was indifferent and knew otherwise); he wanted us to be secure in his prognosis and feel we were well cared for. I am thankful for Piedmont today. My girl was cared for like I would care for her and she was treated like people should be. Sometimes the wait is worth it guys! Thanks to Nurse Nick, the provider who treated us, and the front desk staff working 11-4pm est on 7/14/23.

Very kind people, quick service, but apparently sent me a bill for the visit because they didn’t process my insurance. The reason the young man told me the person didn’t process the paper work is because they “has so many patients”. Completely unacceptable! Really liked my doctor though..

I don’t care what any dr or nurse says, you 🙌know🙌your🙌 child🙌!!!! They do not! When I say he will not take oral Tylenol especially if he doesn’t feel well HE WILL NOT take it! I watched 3 nurses hold my child down and try to force liquid Tylenol down, I am mad at myself for allowing that to happen and I will do better next time, but in the end My son threw it up all over them so maybe they understand now. My son can’t have suppositories Bc of leukemia. Our local pediatric Er doesn’t have iv Tylenol anymore. Also I HATE when a doctor asks if he has anything else medical going on besides leukemia. I say Autism and they always say well yah but I mean medical illness. I get what they mean, but Autism is a medical diagnosis and if they took it seriously they would know how to help people on the spectrum. They would know you cannot hold them down and force meds in their mouth! It is a miracle I get him to take his chemo, it took weeks to months to get a medicine routine down and now Bc they did that he probably will not take it tonight and I’m back at square 1. I am beyond disappointed in this hospital and unless it’s life, limb, or eye sight, we will never come back here. Not usually the one to rant especially about medical professionals on line but I am beyond mad and then some. Oh and My son will still be discharged with a fever, pray I can hide the powder in something🙏 Do better........

I would give zero stars if possible. Been here 5 hours just to be told we don't have enough staff to get to everybody. You obviously have to come in with at least 9 bullet wounds in your body to be seen in less than a week.

This is the slowest place every. They get you checked in and triage is quick but you better have time on your hands and not really be sick or hurt because you will be here for a minute. #onlyhereforearache

Been sitting out in the waiting area after seeing a triage nurse and having blood work, x-rays, etc.. for over 6hours. And still haven't been called back to a room. Absolutely ridiculous.

Christmas came twice. This place is beyond slow. Don't waste your time. Go to St. Francis. And it's according to how important THEY think your condition is. Not how bad you really are. Dispicable. My doc told me to come in immediately, I've been here 6 hours. Lovely.

I wish I could remember the name of the light-skinned woman with glasses at the receptionist desk because she is fantastic! I came in with a delicate situation and she treated me with the utmost respect and kindness. I truly appreciated her.

Came to the emergency room for my child and was seen fairly quickly. The nurses, doctor and staff were all friendly and efficient.

NP tried telling me a resting pulse of 108 with confusion and brain fog was normal and probably just anxiety and sent me home even after I told her I have a history of tachycardia and was not currently on meds to keep my heart rate down, that I am supposed to go to the ER when that happens.

The pediatric emergency room is absolutely ridiculous!!! My daughter (17months old) was misdiagnosed two times. Once with RSV which they refused to test and claimed it was just an upper respiratory infection. Then she had a 103.1 fever, refused to test for covid (she was in contact with someone positive) and we just got a positive test today (2 days after being refused). The pediatrician also told me that I shouldn’t give my daughter Tylenol even if she has a high fever and told me that I should let it get to about 106-107 before taking her anywhere. Then she made this big deal about me being a first time mom and how I should have never even brought her in.( I wanted to go to an urgent care but they were all closed) She was surprised when I told her that my daughter had a heart condition so she never even looked at the chart. It was absolutely ridiculous!! The hospital part is amazing! I had my daughter there and they were amazing. I have always used Piedmont for everything. But the pediatric ER definitely just pushes you out the door as fast as possible and could care less about the kids they’re treating. It’s honestly sad. All of the nurses in the ER were great but the doctors are all a joke who are out to try and make moms look dumb for knowing something is wrong with their children.

Very dissatisfied with the way I was treated as well as how I saw others treated. Very sad. Exam room had blood on the door and was very dirty. Not a place to go if you're sick . Long wait time and the staff has no sympathy at all. They laughed and poked fun at people who were moaning in pain in the waiting room. Absolutely the worst facility i have been to in my life.
