Dr. Vernekar is the best pediatrician I have found in Columbus. She is very detailed and will answer all of your questions. On our first visit she found a heart murmur in my 3 year old that his previous doctors overlooked for quite some time. She pays attention to details. But probably one of the best things about Dr. Vernekar is that she is so personable. When I come in with one of my 3 kids she asks about my other two by name and remembers small details that you mention in passing. I've never had any doctor be that involved with my kids. She's very kind and understanding when I come in with 1000 questions. If I could give her 100 five star reviews I absolutely would. Best pediatrician in Columbus Georgia hands down.

We’ve loved our time with Dr. Vernerkar! We switched after a poor experience at another pediatrician. She’s seen both of our children for the last year! We are now moving overseas & sad to be leaving her and the rest of her team!

She doesn't ignore symptoms and persisted with me to find the source of my daughter's health issues even when it took more then one doctor to diagnose.

The best pediatrician in town for sure. My children have been seeing Dr. Vernekar for over 10 years, we followed her to this practice from when she was in Phenix City because her care for the kids is above and beyond anything else I have received. She remembers my kids even when it's been some time. She listens to the issues we have and helps find the answers or referrs out to who she trusts.

I love Dr.Vernekar and so do my children! She has been my children’s pediatrician since they were babies and I have not been disappointed yet. I love how she gets to know her patients and their family on a personal level. Very knowledgeable, patient and sweet. She is one of the best pediatricians and always so helpful. Here in Columbus Children’s Clinic we feel comfortable for various reasons, They speak Spanish and English Dr. Shilpa Vernekar is my children pediatrician and we love the special attention that she brings to our kids every time we visit, and she is tremendously patient with kids. Michelle the manager is very nice and very helpful the nurses also very simpatic. We like the location of the clinic since is 5 mins away from the piedmont hospital and is very convenient.

We have been seeing Dr. Vernekar since my child was a newborn. He is now one year old. From the very beginning, Dr. Vernekar has been kind, patient, and most importantly, thorough. I’m a first time parent, and also a nurse, so I’ve had numerous questions. She always takes time to answer them all. She was also willing to take my call and come in to see my child on her day off. The staff is truly amazing! They’re all so kind and patient and it’s obvious how they genuinely care for my child! It’s going to be a sad day when we have to leave Georgia and move to the next duty station!

I absolutely love Dr. Vernekar. My kids have been going here for 4 1/2 years. I have referred everyone with children to go here. I have a child with an illness and she is so caring and understanding. The staff is also wonderful. Remember all of my kids when I bring them in.

Dr Vernekar is Very sweet understanding kind and caring with her patients and their parents. She has a great memory is extremely knowledgeable and remembers her patients details because she cares so much with many years of experience with her patients and parents. The staff is friendly and non-judgemental. The office is very clean and inviting. We always feel welcome and my 2 children have been patients since their birth and the oldest since we moved here in 2017. We are very happy.

Dr Vernekar and the entire staff is absolutely wonderful! We have been seeing her now for 5 years, and never a bad visit!. She is great with the kiddos, my daughter is excited everytime I mention going to the doctor for her checkups. I could not ask for a better place to tale my babies to.

Dr.Vernekar is an awesome gentle doctor. She takes her time with my child. She had never brushed off any of my concerns or questions. Always has an upbeat spirit. Such a sweet lady. The nurses are amazing as well. The facility is always nice and clean I highly recommend ❗️

We have been very impressed with Dr. Vernekar. She always follows up and genuinely remembers your child. I have zero complaints with the care she provides our boy. My complaint is with the cleanliness of the clinic. In the multiple times we have been in an exam room, the rooms are cringing with how dirty they are. The floors, baseboards, walls, and exam tables look as if they have not been wiped down or mopped in ages.

We have had nothing but positive interactions at this clinic. Dr. Vernekar has been nothing but professional and more than willing to set aside time to explain things more indepth should you request it.

Dr Vernekar and the entire staff at the clinic have been outstanding with both my daughters. My oldest has seen Dr Vernekar since she was 20 months old and is now almost 4 and my other one has seen her since the day she was born. The clinic is always prompt and make sure we are seen as quickly as possible. Dr Vernekar takes the time with us and always listens to my concerns and questions that I have. She gives very through information and always makes sure we know that we should not hesitate to reach out if we have any questions. Dr.Venekar has been absolutely amazing! Dealing with my newborn who turned out to have a disorder, it has been an emotional roller coaster but she has been so empathetic with me and you can tell she truly cares about your child like they are her own children. I’ve been coming here for 2 almost 3 years with both of my boys and we love Dr. Vernekar. She’s sweet and we always feel really comfortable with asking questions & getting information, the staff is amazing just like her as well! We’ve only had good experiences so far, & I definitely recommend.

My 8 month old son WAS a patient here but no longer is. That is because when I called to get him seen on a Monday for a problem we had on a Friday night they told me to take him to the ER, the ER couldn't do anything due to him needing a referral because he's having seizures. I call to try to get him seen that day. They tell me they can't see him because he went to the ER. Refused to let us pay out of pocket and told us insurance wouldn't allow 2 visits. Had his insurance tell them that he could be seen, they said they were wrong and he can't. Later they day there women who works with the insurance calls me and I forms me he could have been seen out of pocket we would have just had to sign a welaver for the insurance. Go into his appointments the next day and they don't talk to me about my son. N9 they talk to me about a review his father left on them and told me it was wrong and he needed to change it. Absolutely ridiculous how we were treated and will not be back every and will never recommend to anyone

I have been seeing Dr. Vernekar for as long as I can remember. She’s the kindest, sweetest, most helpful person I know. I’m going to miss her and the rest of the staff very much now that I am graduating to a regular doctor. I 100% recommend her to anyone. She’s the best!

Dr. Vernekar is an amazing Doctor. She always answers all of my questions and provides very good care for my 13 year old. Before having her as our pediatrician my son wouldn’t even talk to to the doctor. Now he’s so comfortable with her that he shares everything with her. I absolutely love the Columbus Children's Clinic. My sister and I were patients growing up and we loved coming to the doctor here. So of course now all of my kids have been patients (until they turned 18) or are currently patients. The staff always listen, are caring, and go above and beyond. Kid gets sick during the day.. there is no problem getting same day appointment. I 1000% recommend the Columbus Children's Clinic for your children!
