To be honest at the price to enter the place I do not believe it was worth what they charge. For five of us it was $146. The drive took nearly 2 hours to drive around and there were hardly any animals. It is well taken care of and the property is clean. They charge more to feed the birds and other things while walking around to see the animals.I honestly enjoyed Wonder World Cave and Adventure Park better, the kids said the same as well. Feeding the animals there was more entertaining at the Wonder World Cave.

The most fun I have ever had! Driving through to see the animals was made even more fun by having a bag of feed for them. The animals are used to people driving through and feeding them, so some will come right up to the car. I was so excited to see a zebra that close up! My husband and I had a good laugh when the zebra stuck his head in our car to get to the bag of feed, and watching the car in front of us as an ostrich stuck its head in their car. We enjoyed the walkabout area too. All the staff were helpful and friendly! Loved the whole trip! I will definitely come back!

Usually when I visit attractions, I’m happy going just once but this place makes me want to come back again! The best part? Where do I even start! First, if you’re tired from walking or have someone who can’t walk much, this place is perfect. You drive up to buy tickets which are $24.99 per adult. On their website, they have a link that will direct you the San Antonio coupon book and you can get a discount but it didn’t work for us for the month of March. Honestly though, the price was just fine, even without the small discount. At the ticket booth you can also purchase bags of food for $4.50 and we are so happy we did because it made the experience even better. We fed so many kinds of animals and took lovely photos and videos. At the ticket booth, they will also give you a brochure that explains the animals and facts about them, making it very educational. After that, you will then drive through the whole park in your vehicle. It’s a nice way to pass the time because we were there for about 1.5 hours. We had all our windows rolled down and had a blast. We came on a Friday at around 11:30am and it was not very busy. There is one main road with white dividers on it that splits into 2 paths. If you want to go quicker, you can pass the other cars or you can take your time. They want you to keep your speed at 5mph and you can feed all the animals except the giraffe’s and caged animals at the end of the safari. About half way, you will also find a spot where you can park. This area has a snack booth, very clean restrooms, a cute sign you can snap a picture at and you can walk up to get a better look at the giraffes. Once the drive is done, at the very end, you’ll pull into a parking lot. This area has more restrooms, benches to sit on, a restaurant and cute gift shop. It also has a walking area where you can see enclosed animals. You can pay an extra $3 per person to walk inside the enclosed bird cage. We weren’t able to because due to staffing shortages, no one was there to supervise but we could still see the birds from the outside. The worst part? It might not seem like it but you are given a lot of food pellets. At the beginning, we didn’t want to “waste” them because we were worried we’d run out by the end. I can not tell you how many people had leftovers at the end. We were trying to gift bags to people going in because we had so much left!! So, either use it up as much as you can or even before you enter, I don’t know if you could turn into the lot (to the right of the ticket booth) but if you do, you could probably get peoples leftovers and avoid paying. Also, some animals bite! The ostriches were hard to feed because they kept biting our fingers and hands. A tip would be to put food on something or cover your hand with a sweater or blanket. That way they can’t get your fingers. The ranch also has a lot of signs everywhere so make sure you read them. They give you good safety reminders and will mention when some animals, like zebras, might bite. We also chose to take 2 cars because if we had packed into our van, then the people in the back wouldn’t have their own windows to feed the animals. You’ll be happy you came! It’s wonderful and family friendly. Everyone will have a good time.

We went on a Saturday and it was my first ever visit. It’s hard to imagine the beautiful landscape and animals are so close to the SA area. The “trail” is about 6 miles long and takes about an hour. The views are beautiful and there are so many animals to see. With the exception of a few (cheetahs, hippos and giraffes) the animals roam free and will at times walk right up to your car window. Spend the little bit extra to get the bags of feed so you can feed them and some of the animals will eat straight from your hand. An adult ticket is close to $40, but so worth it when you see how well maintained the grounds are and how healthy the animals look. It’s a must see adventure.

We've lived in Austin for a while and never had the chance to visit this place. The safari was amazing and having such a close experience with wildlife was something surreal. We were able to feed a lot of animals in close quarters. My wife enjoyed feeding the zebras and we had one of our best weekends here. Place was well maintained and the gift shop had so much unique pieces. Would recommend 10/10. We would never miss a chance to come back again.

Great experience! It is a bit pricey (they do offer AAA discount) but it is a fun experience for everyone. I suggest you go through the route at least twice. On our first time through we didn’t see any zebras but on the second loop they were running by the road. Also on the second round one of the ostriches leaned his head into the car. On most of the path it’s wide enough to get around stopped cars if you feel the need to move on. There’s a snack area about 2/3 of the way through where you can park and grab a bite to eat. If I could make a suggestion to the owners, add an audio narration to each section to tell the guests about the types of animals. Animal food is $5/bag. Two bags was plenty for our two trips around.

We've been here several times and it's always fun. The kids love it and it's fun to watch them interact with the wildlife in a controlled environment. The zebra was a little much for our 2 year old this time around but it was a great laugh for the rest of us. The ostriches and giraffes were also high points as they are the ones we got the most up close with. You can go through as many times as you like. The wife and oldest also fed the birds and had them landing on them it was fun. I will say the prehistoric park part can be skipped. There's better things to do.

We enjoy seeing wild animals and after watching a few YouTube videos about it we decided to go. Based on advice from the reviews we made sure to go early to avoid the heat in the early afternoon that keeps most of the animals staying in the shade. It takes a little more than 90 minutes to drive the entire route if you don't stop at the break area roughly halfway through. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back with more of our family next time.

We loved it. My (new) wife says it was exciting and seeing exotic animals in texas is amazing - seeing the baby animals were favorites. We purchased the self tour with the extras to the bird aviary. We got there at noon, so we didn't have time to visit the dinosaurs. We paid the five smackaroos for the food to give the animals, but I think some people brought their own (corn). The wildlife drive was pretty fun, but I kept thinking of all the YouTube videos where the animals attack. That didn't happen, thankfully!! The animals you meet at the start of the tour, horned beasts, will come right up to your vehicle and eat out of your hand. Be sure to not let them ding your vehicle exterior with their horns. Right after were the zebras - so awesome. They are so calm and they bring their heads to the window and open their mouths so you can throw food in. We didn't get bitten. Fun and a little scary first time around. They don't like to be patted. Next were a bunch of gazelles and sables near the giraffes. These animals kept to themselves. The ostriches and rheas wouldn't approach until the second time we drove through. They eat out of your hands, too. But be careful, they are aggressive as hell and those huge beeks hurt. After, the cheetahs and rhinos. They are shielded by fencing but extremely cool to see. The donkeys will let you pet them from the window. They're sweet. The bird exhibit was my favorite. You go inside the aviary with all these parakeets and chickens. The parakeets will land on you to eat the treat you bring in. We got our feet attacked. They love sandals and shoelaces. It didn't hurt, it was so much fun when they bunched up on my feet. I would take steps and they stayed on my foot. There was a beautiful parrot who didn't greet visitors, but he interacted. It responded to whistles. The staff are a group of very nice folks. All smiles, positive people who were talkative and open. I enjoyed the site staff that shared with us. The gift shop has something for everyone.

Add this to the “can’t miss” list when visiting the area! Reasonable drive from Austin or San Antonio area and the up close and friendly animals make it all worth it. Price is reasonable and make sure you buy a couple of bags of food at the entrance. We took around 1.5-2 hours driving through and there’s a nice little gift shop and a few monkey to walk and see after the drive is over. They have plenty of attractions for kids too like the dinosaurs. Adults and kids alike will enjoy this experience!

This is a fun place for anyone who likes animals and wants some close up contact with some wild life. Is not too far from the city of San Antonio. The ranch is big and clean. It has a eatery and a lot of sitting areas. We came in during the weekday, so it was nice and quiet. The entrance fee is reasonable and you can buy a bag of food to feed the animals. The people who works there are very friendly. We had a great and fun experience and will for sure refer people to come visit! P.S. “love the chimpanzees, one of them is so entertaining that he/she does flip a lot in the play area. For sure keep my family entertained! The foods that they served are tasty and not too pricey. ❤️

We drove our own car, but you can also opt for an open tour bus. In your own car, you can choose to stop and feed certain animals for as long as desired and roll up your car windows with the A/C on in between! We purchased just one bag of feed for the 3 of us to share and it was just the right amount. It was really fun to see these animals up close. There are some primates and lemurs in the walk-around area. We walked around there first as it was the morning and cooler part of the day. Very enjoyable experience. We did not do the dinosaur park, so no comment on that.

Such an amazing experience here. A little pricey to pay per person rather than per vehicle but worth the trip! We got to feed tons of animals including a big Ostrich. The animals were docile and calm to collect food. Park employees regularly patrolled the path to ensure the animal safety and make sure everyone was following the rules. Great place to check out if you’re in the area. The bird aviary was also an amazing experience to feed all the birds.

This place was so fun!! Its a great option if you have mobility issues and can't go to a traditional zoo, since you get to stay in your car! There are plenty of cool animals to see all along the way! Be sure to purchase the food they sell at the entrance as that will enhance your experience! Be aware that some animals don't like to follow the rules and may try to get food directly from your car (which is not advised/allowed)! Ahem, ostrich I'm talking to you! LOL 😆

Place is fun and all but it's very expensive since they charge per person and not per vehicle.. family of 5 and it was 130 dollars to pretty much drive around at 5mph. You have to be extremely lucky to go on a day when all the animals are out and willing to participate in the interaction.. otherwise, it can turn into a slow 5mph drive with very few animals to see up close and a very expensive tab behind.. when you add that I spent another 40 dollars in water and ice cream, that's almost 200 bucks for a 45 min drive in and out.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. My husband brought me here from Houston today for my 43rd birthday because I LOVE animals. I can’t even express the amount of fun I had. We went in the morning right after it opened and all of the animals seemed to be waiting for us. The giraffes and so many babies and even brought their babies to the fence to visit us. It was engaging and a lifetime memory. Best birthday ever!

We went on a Saturday morning, at the end of August, right when they opened at 9am. There were a few other cars, but no wait. Tickets were $30 pp and there is no senior citizen discount. We bought each child a bag of food ($5) and had a nice drive, with lots of animals awake and out and about. It was still cooler (85), so it was good time and temps for them to be active. We spent about an hour and half on the drive, taking our time and enjoying the animals and feeding them. We then parked and went to check out the bird sanctuary and dinosaur exhibit. Each were $3 pp to enter. The bird sanctuary had a lot of birds that you can feed with birdseed on a honey stick. The kids loved it. Then we walked over to the dinosaurs and walked through. Each took us about 10-15 min. By this time, it was midday and there’s no shade, so very hot. After our walk with the dinosaurs, we had lunch at the cafe. It was clean and cool. Had a big selection on their menu. The only thing I feel is that they nickel and dime you for every little thing. No meals came with drinks and refills cost extra. On a hot day, unlimited, cold beverages would’ve enticed us to stay on the grounds longer. The food was fresh and hot. We got burgers, pizza, hot dogs and a sides of okra, fries and tots. It hit the spot. After lunch, we walked over to the giraffes and took pictures before heading home. Overall, heads-up, it’s expensive and nothing is included or a package deal, you pay for everything individually. My advice is to pack a picnic, get there right when they open and go see the dinosaur and bird eco it’s first while it’s cooler and less crowded, but don’t spend a lot of time, because you want to see the animals active and they active before it gets hot. So then, go on the safari drive. My recommendation to the management is to get some more shade for the Dino section. All in all, we will be back. It’s great fun for the family of all ages!

When we first arrived a little after 12, we had quite a bit of a wait to get through the gate (around 20 minutes), so I would suggest to get there earlier if you can. I was happy about the AAA discount. It was $3, which is better than nothing! You can purchase food at the entrance, which was pretty reasonably priced (a little over $4). We got one bag, and we didn’t go through it all during our first round (we looped back again to use up the food). Overall, it was fantastic! The animals were awesome, sweet, and excited to get fed! Some people definitely didn’t get the memo about going a certain speed limit, but that’s on them, not the place. I got the chicken salad from their restaurant and a medium drink (which came in a reusable cup). Again, was pretty reasonably priced overall, for a place like this! (About $17 for both items). The salad was very good and filling! Also, the staff was friendly! Overall, we spent about three hours here and we would definitely visit this place again!

So much fun observing and interacting with the wildlife animals in the safari. All of the family greatly enjoyed our visit! Well worth the ticket and drive. However there are still some caged animals. I wish they could live in more open spaces more resembling their natural habitat.

Awesome experience. Animals were so friendly. They will eat out of your hand but they are very careful. I am glad the worker advised up to drive through twice. The second time we seen more animals and it was a different experience. The cost was high but it's worth it. Nice and clean area and restrooms!

Hands down a unique experience in San Antonio. The animals were extremely active and we went on a weekday, so lower traffic. Buy the feed, buy the feed, and buy extra feed. You will want the feed. The cafe was fantastic, plan to stay for lunch! The bird feeding is the best I have ever experienced. Just watch your feet! I cannot write how amazing the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch in a post that people would read so just go check it out yourself. It is within 30 minutes of downtown and well worth ANY drive time! We did the self-guided tour.

Great way to see animals and get up close. Staff is amazing. This a great for all ages. Even without fed some will get quite close. With the pandemic in full swing staying in the car was a perfect way to experience the park.

100% worth the money. There were so many animals out and they just walk up to your car. Your tickets let you go through the safari as many times as you want and there’s a really cute walking area with even more animals, gift shop, and cafe. This was our favorite thing on the trip!

Recommended saving time and purchasing your admission tickets online and scanning the barcode at the entrance. You will be able to buy animal feed upon entry at the gate. Definitely areas to stop for the restroom inside the safari park. Friendly staff is onsite to make sure animals and humans are safe at all times. Some areas have two lanes should you want to go at your own pace or take a guided safari tour. You also have the option for an up and personal time with the giraffe family. Overall, fun for all ages.

It's a bit expensive but reasonable since the profits go to fund the conservation and you can go through the safari route multiple times.. The animals were amazing and the staff were really nice. The kids loved the bird cage and it cost $3 per person to get in and you can buy treats for the birds to have the whole experience...

Kids really enjoyed it! Mostly prey of course, just a few predators who are isolated behind fencing. I especially appreciate that this place provides a refuge for some critically endangered species. The animatronic dinosaur and dragon exhibit is going to be a big hit with visitors assuming it doesn't jump too high above the $5 entry fee when it opens fully. The bird feeding enclosure was loads of fun as well! Very clean facilities. Clear and easy to follow signs and traffic paths that almost make it idiot proof. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Amazing place to spend the day with family, friends or a date. It’s well maintained and there are tons of animals. All animals look healthy and well cared for. Fun way to spend the day. The best part is you can do the safari as many times as you wish once you enter the ranch! Don’t miss the bird house! It closes a bit earlier than the park so make sure you ask at the gate

Epic!!! My children were squeally balls of excitement the entire time. You purchase drive thru tickets and the animal pellet food at the entry gate. Then later on when you’re walking around, you can purchase $3 tickets to feed the Budgies and $10 tickets to the Prehistoric Exhibit—which is very impressive! I suggest going in the morning when the animals are more active and hungry. Plus to beat the heat for summer since you’ll be driving around with your windows down.

The best part here is parrots. You need to buy extra ticket for parrots along with safari ticket. You can feed parrots directly and you can play with them. There are some life size dinosaurs 🦕 here. Coming to main safari there are several animals like ostriches, deers, antelopes, black bucks, gaurs, bulls, cheetah, zebras and giraffes etc. You can buy the feed for animals at the entrance. It takes around 1.5 hours to complete the safari. No pets allowed inside safari.

A nice place for everyone who love nature and its creation. Specially for kids, they are enjoining here and know about animals. Appreciate to management and all team associates who maintain a large area. and take care 🦒 animals like their food, health and other need. I feel, if extend some area of monkeys, birds and loin so it is good. Overall my whole family was enjoying here.

The best safari ride I’ve taken my son on! He enjoyed it so much. I did see a couple posts where it’s mentioned that the animals were not visible, but that might be the case if it’s quite sunny outside. We went around 10:30am and throughout our ride there was so much to see. I would highly recommend this place!

This was a fun experience. I have to say, when I think of a drive through African safari, Texas is not the first place that comes to mind. The drive is pleasant and there are a bunch of animals to see. There were quite a few that would come right up to the car window. We didn't buy any food when we came in, so all we could do was wave at the critters and tell them sorry. There were a couple of spots where they swarmed pretty densely though. We had to creep forward real slowly and sort of weave around them. Definitely a neat thing to do. And it pairs well with the caverns next door.

  • 5/5 Sandria C. 1 year ago on Google
We really enjoyed the visit. Purchased food to feed the animals along the drive through. It was a long way and we had enough food with just bags. A lot of deer in the beginning. They have a resturant, monkeys, places to sit outside, and a place to stop half way before the ride ends to get snacks if you like. The animals will come up to your window if you drop the food close to the ground by your door. Saw a vehicle in front of us who had a deer eating out of his hand (Against Rules) but it was cute to see and glad he wasn't hurt. Great Visit 🙂

Fun experience, the zebras were my favorite. Most animals were in the shade with this heat trying to stay cool. Overall the kids enjoyed up up close and personal with the animals who were available for a snack. The drive was a decent distance nothing to disappoint.

I visited for the first time since 2016! It changed a lot! I loved it! I wish they had goats still but the birds are fun too! They should add signs about how far till the end of safari drive so you can plan how much food you should give out to animals.

Great well maintained place. The drive through safari will last for about 60 mins. It’s totally worth it, considering the amount of fun kids will have. A very well maintained facility. Also has a dinosaur park with large dino figures that can move and cry like one. Will visit again!

This is a good place to have a different experience. You get to go around your car or if you want to take one of their tours. The giraffes and monkeys were our favorite. I think it would be better to go during cooler months when the animals are more active. Otherwise it’s a lot of deer/gazelle type animals. It went by quicker than expected. Also you only need one feed bag for a car

I haven't been on this Wildlife adventure in 20 years and it was a wonderful experience. It was my son and husband's first time and they greatly enjoyed their visit. We do wish the other attractions (bird and dinosaur adventure) were offered separately even if the price is higher then when bundled. Overall, 5 stars! We would recommend! We will definitely be back for Christmas in the caverns!

So we were trying to figure out what to do today with my 96 year old father in law. He can’t walk for long distances anymore and the weather didn’t really warrant being outside for too long. We wanted to do something that just allowed us to drive. My wife came up with the idea of driving through the wildlife park. It was the perfect day for it. We had a great time and saw lots of animals. Topped it off with dinner at Longhorn steak house.

Must visit place if you're anywhere close! It was a cloudy day with a slight drizzle throughout the morning. We got there around 10 am and there was no wait to enter. We got our tickets and food bags and started our self guided tour. Most animals know to expect food from cars and will come to you. Lots of goats, different types of deer, zebras, ostriches, rheas, giraffes, cheetahs, emu, rhino and of course all the birds! We would definitely go back when we visit again! Many more pics on the camera.

We finally went here after living nearby for years. I wish we had visited sooner because we loved it! It was just my husband and myself, but we are already planning to bring our young grandchildren to the ranch. Cost is $29.95 per adult, children are a little less. No pets are allowed. You need to make a reservation for entry time, which seems to be every hour on the hour. We arrived early, mid-week and did not have to wait. We drove our own car so that we could go at our own pace. The park is in a beautiful setting, with lots of open spaces for the animals. The area seems to be a natural habitat for the animals at the ranch. We enjoyed them wandering across the roads and loved it when the ostriches came up to the windows of the car. There was also a walk about area with an aviary, wallabies, monkeys and more. We didn't go into the dinosaur area, but it looked pretty cool from what we could see. There are public restrooms, a cafe and gift shop. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Such a cool experience and memorable time! Definitely a must see. You get to drive in your own car and go at your own pace. I’m not the biggest fan of the ostriches so I kept my windows up for them, they will stick their heads in your car! 😂

Well this place is worth the admission price. We had a wonderful time and the animals really come to the vehicles. We got there early just to make sure we got some good interaction with the animals. We figured if we get there later in the day the animals might not be as hungry as to all the vehicles coming through and feeding them during the day. Well we made the right choice we had all types of amazing animals come right up to the car and keep an eye out for them Ostriches they will put their heads inside your vehicle to get their food. This is one of them places that you have to visit. It will forever be in your memories. Thank you NBWR!

I have been wanting to check this place out since I had gone to one like it in Florida a long time ago. It did not disappoint! It was nice to be able to feed the animals while we cruised along. Some were more interested than others. The animals all looked very content and healthy. At the end, we were able to go in and feed the budgies. We were like magnets to them. They certainly were not shy, but it was fun! My only complaint is the other guests, which is no fault of the Ranch at all. They have rules that are posted everywhere, and it seemed like everyone around us was just so entitled that they couldn't manage to even follow one of them.

Best time ever! We enjoyed driving through the safari and getting to feed the animals and watching their interactions with each other and the vehicles going through. We enjoyed going in with the birds even though some of them will give you tint love bites, lol. Really enjoyed our time there.

Loved the journey, fun and heart warming to see animals free to roam instead of cooped up ❤️ We spent about 2hrs overall, could of been a little longer if you stopped for lunch, did more walking or even circled back to drive through again at no cost. Added a few of my favorite pics!
