Mixed but pretty good.... Went for dinner. First the critique. My wife like her mushroom, I thought it tasted good but a little mushy. The quail poppers were disappointing. Flavorless... German Chocolate Cake was tasty but dry. Now the praise. Bison burger actually tasted like bison and was cooked perfectly to order. Bun was amazing and loved how it tasted all together. Fries were great. Gelato was awesome. Place was clean, service was good, staff was nice. Gonna go back for breakfast and try some other burgers, maybe the steak, at a later date. Definitely worth trying.

Great staff, they were so friendly. For breakfast, the lattes were huge and delicious. Biscuits and gravy do have nice sausage chunks in it, but I felt lacked flavor. I added salt and pepper to help. I really loved the hash browns and both the turkey sausage and pork patties. The veggie breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage was amazing. The bread was perfectly fluffy!! Can't wait to come back for lunch!

Tried to go once, but the line was out the door, and there was a 45-minute wait. Came back the next day and got a table. Found out why they had such a long line the day before. The food was awesome. Everything was made fresh and delicious. There were 6 of us, and not a single one of us had a bad thing to say about our meal. We got dessert to-go. I ordered the last slice of strawberry cake. The waitress came to me before we checked out and informed me that when she packed my slice, she noticed the cake was pretty dry. She asked if I'd like a replacement, and I said sure and to just give me whatever she recommends instead. She gave me Italian cream, and it was like a slice of Heaven. I highly recommend this place. HIGHLY. I will be back and so will my friends that were with me. We only come up to Canyon Lake occasionally, but from now on, we'll have a breakfast tradition!

We spent a solid seven days in New Braunfels and San Antonio areas and Wildflour was hands down our favorite meal of the trip! The food was delicious, with fresh tasting ingredients cooked just right! And my vanilla latte was a creamy perfection! If you have the opportunity to go during the week, do that! We had no wait time during the week but a 45 min wait on Saturday.

Came here from a recommendation. Arrived about 15 minutes before closing, and they welcomed us with open arms. I got the filet mignon, baked potatoes, and steak fries. The taste of all of it was excellent. The steak was a little chewy but good. We're going to stop by in the morning for breakfast and try it out. The waitstaff was awesome. We ordered desert, but took it to go. My daughter said the rainbow cake was yummy. Overall, we were pleased. Edit: We came back for breakfast and glad we did. If I've had better biscuits and gravy, I can't remember when. My wife ordered a specialty coffee from the bar and was impressed. Our server (Autumn) was awesome as well.

Great place for breakfast. I had a slice of red velvet cake as an appetizer ๐Ÿ˜‰ and the garden omelet for breakfast. My husband got the croissant. Everything was delicious. I wish I had saved room to try a muffin. Definitely recommend !

So happy to have found this restaurant! I came for dinner, had the grilled salmon, and it was delicious! Honestly, I had a difficult time choosing what to order because the menu was filled with so many yummy options like chicken fried steak, shrimp and grits, bison burgers, and some awesome looking salads. They also do catering, have a dessert bar, and are open for breakfast. Iโ€™ll be back for sure! Iโ€™ve got to try some more stuff!

The food was a bit slow, but worth the wait. Service was top notch. The flexibility with indoor/outdoor seating was nice. I have to mention there was an overwhelming FOUL smell outside that smelled of pure sewer. I can't dock them for that because it's out of their control. Bottom line: I recommend and will come back again but sit inside next time.

I used to go to Happy Fatz in Houston and was so devastated when they closed four years ago. I did some research a few years back and realized that the owners here were the same for Happy Fatz and saw that they had the clucker dog on the Menu! I finally got the chance to come and try it again and it tasted just as amazing! Super happy and canโ€™t wait to be back in the area again so I can get my hands on it again. I also bought some of the coffee beans they sold and Iโ€™m excited to try those too :)

Short version: complete chaos, food was above average. Long version: If it wasn't for hosts / greeter that place would be a dumpster fire. Sunday brunch expect a long wait, which absolutely to be expected. Placed a coffee order while waiting and somehow I got lost in the in the shuffle, no big deal. So asked for our drinks again, and received them . Took over an hour to be seated so kitchen could catch up. Finally seated and waitress took another 10 minutes (then blamed not knowing it was our table) We placed our order, and received a our soup cold 20 minutes later. Then our meal warm another 20 minutes later, and had to ask for our check. Never had a refill of water. Chicken and waffles were very tasty, love the chipotle sauce. Egg Benedict were good, not great. Hash browns needed a bit more time to cook. The white cheese poblano soup was really good.

Great menu with good food and drinks. Indoor and outdoor seating. Likely to wait 20-30mins during busy times. Clean and nicely decorated with polite and attentive staff. Parking can be tricky in unpaved parking lot with minimal signs for spaces but room in the verge.

We got the avocado toast, chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict, pancakes and mimosas. The food was amazing! We sat outside and our kids kicked around the soccer ball while we waited for food. Plan on at least a 20-30 minutes because itโ€™s that good. Nom. Ask for Jessica to be your waitress. Sheโ€™ll make you feel at home and not like a burden when your kids ask for extra ketchup, syrup, and the like!

Good food -very popular place for breakfast. Came in on a Saturday around 10 AM. Only took them 5 or so minutes seat me. About a 25 minute wait for food. Meal was quite good. Nice selections. - 7 Oct. UPDATE: Came back for Chicken & waffles. Sat at the same table - next to the swinging doors to the kitchen (little busy area to sit for a quiet breakfast). Next visit - Iโ€™ll request a seat outside or upfront near the windows. Again, meal was nice.

Iโ€™ve passed by this place many times and finally went in for lunch. I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was phenomenal. They have a smoker and smoke all their own meats. Also all their baked goods are scratch. Menu has some comfort foods but itโ€™s definitely gourmet as well.

Great breakfast spot. Had the Hill Country Omelette, which had venison sausage and duck (!) bacon. Good biscuit. Kinda wish they had grits, and the hash browns has bites that were super salty for some reason. But the chocolate cake โ€œslapped,โ€ and it was overall a great find. Will be back.

So happy to have found this place as everything was delicious. We got here a few minutes before 8 in case there was a wait but luckily no need as they had plenty of seating available. We split the Wildflour Breakfast plate which was perfect as we added an extra biscuit with gravy & a morning glory muffin. It may sound silly/odd to say but they had some of the best fluffy eggs as it's not always the case with easy peasy scrambled eggs. The biscuits were on point, especially the homemade berry jam. I'm more of a tea drinker & enjoyed the Earl Grey but couldn't pass up a chance to try the Lavender latte, which was so good & loved the little design. The house brew was great as well so we picked up a bag. We didn't have much in the way of a cooler, which was probably a good thing as we were eyeing all of the beautiful dessert options. Can't wait to stop here again!

Even after waiting a good while for an available table once we were seated we did another long wait to order and be served. Cool thing is they have self-serve coffee you can drink while you wait! Food was good.

Great little place with excellent bakery items and a great menu with lots of choices. We had the Philly cheese steak and a burger, and in general, food was great and flavorful. It came out hot and way more than one person can eat. Service is exceptional, and you definitely will want to come back for a second trip. Only negative is burger was ordered medium, and it came out well, and Philly bread was toasted well, but kitchen corrected the Philly bread issue and it's hard to cook a burger medium without it going to well easily. Overall great place

We really enjoyed this restaurant! We loved the cozy atmosphere. The professionalism of the staff was refreshing. Evelyn and McKenzie were awesome and explained further on the best way to book a reservation. Our server was excellent. She took very good care of us while there, even though she was busy with a couple large parties. And the food!! My goodness it was good. You donโ€™t go to many places and think, โ€œIf dinner is this good then I need to come back tomorrow morning and try breakfast!!โ€ We will definitely be back, not tomorrow, but probably the next day!!

We finally made our way to Wildflour today and WOW! It was an awesome experience ALL AROUND. Dallas was an incredible host and was so kind and remained very poise and accommodating throughout our wait. She even brought tray after tray of ice cold waters for all of us. Rose was a fabulous server and took such good care of us. She didnโ€™t miss a beat! She was there to refill my coffee as soon as I felt I would like a top-off! The wait was well worth it and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time together and food! โœจ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผโ˜•๏ธ I had Geraldineโ€™s Tomato Pie (added spinach and avocado) with white cheddar poblano soup on the side. ๐Ÿ˜ It was just heavenly. So thankful for delicious vegetarian options. Cannot wait to come back and try the veggie burger. As a local, Iโ€™ll be bringing all of our guests here to eat when they come into town to visit! Hospitality and service was awesome. Will be back! 5+ STARS! โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

The food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. The waffles were a huge hit with everyone at the table, as were the hashbrowns, breads, and bakery items. Our server, DeeDee, was great, very friendly, and attentive. EDIT: We came back on our way out of town and got DeeDee as our server again! We were glad to see her and thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts! Very highly recommend Wildflour to everyone and will definitely stop in again if we're ever in the area. ๐Ÿ‘

Staying around Canyon Lake, we looked around and decided to try this place out. We came a little closer to closing time but the service was fantastic! We were seated promptly within about 15 minutes and it did not take long at all to get our food. The plating of the food was so professional and it tasted great! I got the chicken fried chicken with a jalapeรฑo beschamel gravy and it was phenomenal! Their beer-battered fries were delicious! I also nibbled on the mashed potatoes and they were not just mashed potatoes--they had green onions and cheese with the skin mixed in--fantastic! My husband got their ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and green beans and he loved it! They had red onion and bacon mixed in with incredible seasoning! We also could not help ourselves and got some dessert from the bakery. I got a coffee cupcake and my husband got a brownie, which were both plated with powdered sugar and it added an additional layer to the desserts. Both were fantastic! Would recommend to anyone visiting Canyon Lake!!!

Good restaurant. Wasn't the best experience though. We had to wait for 40 mins for our table, then when we finally got seated. We had to wait again another 40 mins for our food. But great tasting food though. Definitely will give this restaurant another shot if I'm ever in the area again.
