Nice enough garden to walk around. Could use some maintenance though in front of the building. However, it's free to roam the grounds, plus dogs are welcome, which is quite nice. Parking is closely, need to pay. There is a beach next to the gardens and a small place to get some snacks and drink. Located between the villa and Como is a lovely promenade, taking about 15 minutes by foot.

This villa is beautyfull on the outside and inside. Impressive rooms with great seillings. When we visited the vila today the first floor was accessable to view a contemporary art exhibition. The works displayed where fun to watch, but the vila made a bigger impression on me. I would have loved to be able to see more of the building like the second floor and basement as well.

It’s not really a welcoming place once you get there, while from afar it looks majestic. The lawns in front of the villa are quite crowded. There’s a small public „beach“ where you can enter the lake but it’s not really inviting actually.

Large villa on the promenade around the bottom of Lake Como, an easy walk out of the town. The gardens are well established and pleasantly laid out. A good place to go to find shade and a little exercise when it is too hot down by the lake.

It's such a beautiful location to visit. I haven't visited inside the villa, but we often go for a little walk around the grounds, and this weekend, we enjoyed a picnic in their gardens. The gardens are well looked after, a lot of space and shade under their beautiful trees, a place to relax, and it just has a peaceful atmosphere.

We were told we could only enter if we bought a ticket to the exhibition and even then we could only see the exhibition, not wander the ground floor as everyone else seems to suggest. Restoration work going on out front. Not the place to visit at the moment it seems.

The Villa is nice but because of renovations we were only able to see the first floor which was nice but not so special in my opinion The gardens are nice to walk for a bit If you have extra time in como The walk there isn’t so long and the view is beautiful

This place is free park, everyone can come to visit this park. I do not know about visiting the building. Villa Olmo is really nice to come to walk and rest. It has street parking near by but you need to pay. At night in summer time it has the event for example some music night. I really recommend to come to see.

If you come across this villa on your stroll along Lake Como, don't hesitate to enter and let the murals in all the different rooms & hallways amaze you. It's free of charge and worth the visit.

You can see Villa Olmo from the promenade of the town Como and have a short but pleasant walk towards it. If the weather is nice, have a coffee on a bar of Lido di Villa Olmo and visit the villa's gardens. If it's not Monday (because the villa is closed on this day), don't miss to enter Villa Olmo and see its interiors (open from 10 am till 6 pm), the entrance is free. Today it's a good location fro private or public events, you can easily rent it if it's available on a day that you ask.

Beautiful rooms of a restored villa, only first floor is open to visiting (for free!) Parc is open too, but the attraction is the architecture. The first floor is vacant (no furniture or decorations) but full of frescos murals etc

Great gardens and a perfect location, but unfortunately the Villa was closed. It is the Monday before eastern 2022.

Love to come for a picnic or reading and lay down on the grass but also visiting the palace at least once is a must! Beauty everywhere in the decor and structure! Shapes, materials, textures, colours and day dreaming #art #architecture #design

Magnificent Villa by the Lake in Como. It seems to be the in place to go to relax - Lots of people having Picnics and playing games. The Villa is Free to walk around - the staff were very welcoming. You visit the downstairs rooms which are incredible to see. The gardens are full of shady trees and seating areas. It is a beautiful setting and the views are amazing. Mi piace - I loved it.

Beautiful place to visit. We used to go there for the exhibitions, art and performances. The villa itself is also cool. Took there a lot of pictures. Must see if you are in Como

Great view from the villa to the lake, the park is not something spectacular but it's nice.

This grand Villa by the lake is in a great location with a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding mountains.

Nice little town on the South shore of Lake Como. Quite a few shops open on the off season, Guide provided some good history of the town. The main church was impressive showing the three stages of its construction. Some nice boutiques and designer shops. Lots of the interiors are left bare showing the original stone structures. In November it is pretty cold so wrap up warm and expect rain.

It is free to walk around the villa, the surroundings are beautiful. It is worth to visit. However, I think the building, especially the walls, deserve a better maintenance.

Beautiful Italian villa direct on the Como lake and surrounded by the mountains. The garden and the fountain are the perfect place to relax during sunny days.

Free to walk around the ground floor. It is great to see this old architecture and frescos. But no furniture in rooms and virtually no descriptions of the rooms history.

5/5 for the villa. 1/5 for the contemporary art that pollutes the ground floor. Why choose to display contemporary art in a beautiful 18th century Italian villa? All it does is highlight the lack of craftsmanship in modern art. Judge for yourself: see the photos in my review. To add insult to injury, the art show makes a 7-euro charge mandatory.

The Villa Olmo grounds are very beautiful and welcoming. This Villa overlooks the lake of Como and is absolutely wonderful! You can see planes landing and taking off from the lake as you walk around the grounds and actually walk down to the water. It was a great place to stop and take in the beauty of lake Como.

Giant villa on the lake side with a Medicare garden. They need to maintain it better. It is very epic. The back garden has a tree from fairy tale.

I love love love this place. It is beautiful inside and outside. Especially the little theatre they have. So intimate and exquisite. They have a beautiful green area for picnic, tanning and hangout. I come here every day while in Como Lake.
