From the moment we entered the restaurant we felt welcomed and like we had known the two hostesses' forever. We were there on 9/21/23 for lunch. I didn't get their names, but wish I had the one girl had long braided hair with red in it. They were both so cute, friendly and helpful. We got fountain drinks and a Porch Punch...whoooohoooo that drink is strong and fantastically tasty! I got the sourdough patty melt with beer battered fries, my husband got the varsity burger, our daughter the buffalo chicken sandwich minus the buffalo and our son the salmon. Everything arrived promptly and delicious. Our drinks never emptied, and service was top notch. Loved the atmosphere and decor. Great experience! Second visit on 9/30/23 in the evening. Our server was Emelie. She disappeared for a while. Wasn't very friendly. Food was great! Service was not.

The only thing great about my first time trying this place was my server. Besides that, I'll never be back. I ordered the Cheesy Smashburger w.onions straws and a Prickly Pear Margarita. But I had to order an extra shot of top shelf tequila because it tasted more like a sour patch kids juicey juice w.all the artificial flavoring. My burger was very bland 🍔 and didn't come out HOTTTTT. Just luke warm like it was reheated versus fresh off the grill & it wasn't even crowded at all. But the onion 🧅 straws were crispy & came out hot. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed nor wow'd w.my meal. So disappointing...

A friend & I stopped by the Carolina Ale House after shopping at the mall nearby. Initially, it felt like one of the better options to catch the college basketball game & after dining in, the amount of TVs is perfect for any game day. The food overall was okay. For an appetizer, we ordered the cheese curds. The curd itself was good, but the batter was strange. It felt like it was more for seafood than cheese curds, but someone else may like that batter better. The sauce that came with the cheese curds was unique & seemed to be more like a cocktail sauce. We tried to order certain beers, but they were out of them. The waitress was kind enough to bring a list of what they had & it seemed like more than half of the draft beers weren't available, but we found beers that we were okay with getting. For dinner, I got the Philly cheesesteak. The flavor of the sandwich & fries overall was enjoyable, so I recommend it as an option. My friend who joined got the breakfast burger, which he enjoyed as well. The bathrooms could use a lot of work. They had a sewer odor, which was intense. The bathrooms looked outdated overall with the paper towel dispenser broken & the soap dispenser dirty. The toilets were in need of a cleaning as well. The staff was friendly & seemed very pleasant. Overall, I'd be open on coming back to watch live sporting events in hopes of a full draft selection.

such a great place to go either as a family or as a friends outing..drinks taste great and well priced. You definitely get what you paid for and the some as the portions are huge...there is also a great kids menu! ( including wings) will def come back. Only complaint was that it did take a while for our waiter to come to our table. But overall good place!

Perfect place for when you're wanting some good ol' American/Bar style food. The spinach dip should be award winning!

Food was brought quickly, staff was friendly and was a great atmosphere. Not too loud like some sports bars are.

I went with my wife and Sister in law. My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich and said it was good. That was a plus. My sister in law had a salad and French onion soup. The salad was good but the French onion soup was bad. It was luke warm. The cheese was not even melted. Really nobody saw that. I had 1/2 rack of ribs. Worst ribs I ever had. Extremely dry and very tough would not order them again. On the plus side the manager took the soup off our bill and the waiter we had was very good and attentive.
