A lovely friendly lively pub. Great food and a a great menu. We stayed in the motor home over night on their car park free of charge. It is close to the castle and a lovely place for walking and very dog friendly 😊

Service with a smile. Stayed overnight using their campervan stopover scheme and had drinks and meals in the pub. From the moment you walked in the atmosphere was good and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A good selection of both beers and ales and a good selection of food on the menu. The food was well presented and perfectly cooked. Would I recommend Castle View? Yes and I'd happily go back again myself.

This is no longer pub food. The cook is so incredible good! Loved the food, drinks and atmosphere. Decent priced as well.

We are staying in a lovely Airbnb 100 yards from the Castle View Public House. The title doesn’t accurately describe this business. The quality of the food is superb and (as others have described) more like a restaurant. The staff are extremely welcoming and attentive going out of their way to ensure we had a great meal. There are options for vegetarians and vegans and special attention is paid to anyone with allergies. The ambiance is superb without the views but when you add the breathtaking scenery of the estuary it is the icing on the cake. We will definitely visit the Castle View before returning home to Desborough in Kettering.

Upon an arrival we felt instantly welcome and was greeted with a warm smile! We managed to get a table in the food area of the pub and had a server who was bang on the ball. The menu is extensive and has a good selection of different meals and light bites! I had the steak sandwich and upgraded to Parmesan truffle fries which were amazing! I asked for rare and was giving it perfectly! The serving was the right amount and was really tasty! The choice of beers on draft was spot on also! The bill at the end was very reasonable priced for the quality and service provided! Can’t recommend the place enough and will definitely be popping in again when in the area!!

Nice cosy pub with a view of Conwy Castle. Staff seemed very friendly and dogs are allowed in one half of the pub Drinks are well overpriced though. £5.30 for a pint of Heineken Silver and £3.65 for a large lemonade that was full of ice. Was going to eat but again very expensive so went elsewhere. Food going past looked decent enough though.

The beer at this pub is way over priced and is nearly always sour. You would be better choosing the queens head in the near by village or another pub in this town. Also the outside space is not very welcoming as it’s very cold and the canopy over the top is not fully functional as in it is going into disrepair also the outside heater does not work at all. A real big shame as they could make this into a fantastic pub if they tried a little harder.

Tried to book a table online but wasn’t clear how too. Tried to phone but no answer. Walked a 20 minute walk to the pub to find it completely empty, we asked for a table to be told there was none available. The younger boy at the bar was helpful and friendly. The other woman not so much.

Limited car parking around the building, on slopes, and a bit tight and angular in places. A great view from across the road to Conwy Castle across the estuary. This is a busy and active pub with a good menu set for different parts of the week. The menu is good and the good is well prepared and tasty. The staff are very polite, welcoming, helpful and friendly. Inside, there are various cozy areas where you don't feel bothered, in bay windows, little corners etc. The toilets down the side of the stairs are clean, fresh, tidy and equipped. There are themed nights here and special events advertised too. You can sit outside in cozy areas and get some of the views around and about. Our first time there - another find by family who live locally. It is easy to find. We'll be back! Thanks!

Really friendly staff, and great food. Busy on Tuesday with quiz night and though we left just before it began, had a great experience. Staff couldn’t have been nicer and couldn’t do more for you. Food was also very, very nice. Car park is good but when busy a little snug so get their early. Great views from the pub also. Throughly recommend.

Credit where credit is due, I’ve been coming to the Castle View every few weeks for a couple of years when I’m in the area - it sells my favourite beer but more importantly the food is excellent and has been consistently so over my many many visits. The team are welcoming and make you feel at home. On a summers eve you can sit out and gaze over the estuary and Castle and feel any stress or frustrations with the world just melt away.

Went here today for lunch in a rainy Deganwy . The bar is dog friendly. We ate in the bar with our dog and had a turkey, pig in blanket, bacon, and stuffing on ciabata bread. With chips and gravy! Tasted great with very friendly service. Would come back here again.

Overall the pub and restaurant is a very nice environment to eat and drink with a friendly welcoming feel. Bar staff are helpful and attentive despite possibly lacking a little thought when serving food , doing small things such as reaching over you rather than walking round the table when giving food. Food presentation was fantastic for the prices HOWEVER the food generally lacked seasoning and despite looking fantastic, very basic things like resting the steak (which was pretty expensive) where missed. This left my plate swimming in watery fatty blood, which ran into everything else.

Had a lovely meal tonight, celebration my daughter's birthday. Food was so good. The gluten free and vegetarian meals were delicious. My husband had the steak and pie and said it's the best he's ever had. Thank you for making her birthday so special

Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious. My fussy grandson ate all of his main meal and his dessert. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend a visit.

We arrived 10 minutes before they stopped serving food. They were still happy to take our order 2 minutes before the cut off. This place is perfect for what it sets out to be. Friendly staff, great music set to low in the background, fantastic views and a great decor. This is definitely somewhere to go if visiting Conwy.
