NOT HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE! The room is nice and clean. However, there ISN'T any handicapped accessibility!!!!! There are a lot of steep steps and you have to climb them for room access and breakfast!!! It took 2 people to help me get up them to the room because I'm disabled. They do NOT have wheelchair accessibility on this property as the website says they do. It was extremely hard and I literally had to just stay in the room because of this. I had to have others get me breakfast because of all the steps. Just wanted to let everyone know since the site says there is handicapped accessibility. Again, the room was clean and very nice. There is a little patio table with a backdoor at the room which is nice to sit at. Staff to my understanding was quite friendly. My daughter checked us in. I DID request handicapped accessibility upon booking as site states it's available but it's not.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here! The receptionist was super nice and friendly and checking in was a breeze. The hotel lobby and hallways were very clean and well maintained, you can tell the hotel is a bit old because the doors stick and some minor damages throughout. Our room was very clean and nice with a few minor damages. It was extremely quite and peaceful. Plenty of parking, isn't too many people here tonight. The room AC wasn't on when I arrived so the room was like a sauna for about 30 minutes but the AC did work well after I turned it on. Overall, definitely a great hotel, my wife and I would stay here again!

PROS: Very nice employees at this hotel. Bed is super comfy. The breakfast has sausage/cheese biscuits and breakfast pastries. Room itself was very nice. Did not hear neighbors so I was able to sleep undisturbed. CONS: My bathroom sink could not drain. I reported it upon checking out and I am sure it will get addressed as the employee showed attention and concern about the issue. Overall…..really nice hotel for a low price of $64

Will give it to the saft they went above and beyond for me. I had booked a different hotel prior to taken this trip and well they over booked my reservation at the other hotel. I had been driving over 13hrs and was ready for bed I ended up booking this place they just couldn't get me in a room around 8am check in was at 3pm. I had a dog with me as well. They did everything they could to get me in asap. Was able to get in early. Lady up at the front desk truly couldn't thank her enough!!

Honestly, if you want a fancy hotel, this isn't it. However, if you want to be COMFORTABLE at a reasonable price... This is it! We were traveling with my almost 80 year old mother. So, we rented a suite for 3 adults and 2 teenage boys. This room had 3 queen beds... Yes, 3 beds, not an uncomfortable pull out couch. The beds are very tall, and my mother had a bit of trouble getting in and out at first, but she worked it out. The beds were amazing and so were the pillows. I'm so used to air conditioners not working well that I actually got cold because we set it lower than we thought we'd need (to compensate). I've never gotten cold in a hotel room before. Also, there was a sink in the room outside of the bathroom. This was great, because you had access to water while the bathroom was occupied (and if you've traveled with 2 teenaged boys, you know it's occupied a lot). The breakfast was a continental breakfast, but there was variety and we got enough to eat. I will stay there again.

Everything was just what you would expect from a budget hotel. The room was clean, check in was easy. Nothing really special here, except for the view. We rolled in at night, seeing nothing, and in the morning were greeted by the surrounding hills and mountains. Not bad for the price!

For the price, you can not beat it. The non-smoking room was very clean and had no smoker residue. The free breakfast was good considering the room cost. The staff were pleasant. We will stay there again!

A good place to stay for what you pay! That being said, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is good considering the hotel price point, and the beds are decent and clean. It is an older hotel and you can't really hold that against it. Being on the ground floor our room didn't have carpet, which was weird, but again, can't complain, it's cheap and an old building. The workers are very nice and helpful.

This hotel is on the outskirts of the city and it is a quiet place to stay. The views outside are amazing. For the money it's pretty nice. It's non smoking. There are balconies to the rooms. I recommend this hotel if you need somewhere to stay for a night or two in Cookeville.

Rooms were not that clean since there were lots of crumbs and mini stuff in the bed. Breakfast was okay and decent for the price but would rather eat something else then cereal, fridge foods, and a waffle maker. At least they had waffles 🧇 😃! The mini deck/balcony wasn’t that clean and the chairs were not comfortable. The tv guide was VERY dirty with like boogers and dirt? The desk chair was a bit dirty but okay to sit in. Overall 1/5 as in dumpy.

The staff was AWESOME, very friendly and polite! You could tell it was an older hotel. The bathroom was very small for a king size room. The bed was very comfortable and AC worked really well. The full breakfast was a disappointment. But overall for the price we paid the service and comfortable bed made it a good experience.

First, the hotel is settled on a hill with a sharp right turn coming from 40 W. Check-in took long (about 10 mins) compared to another Baymont I stayed at in VA. The clerk asked for so much info, where the Baymont in VA didn’t. I guess it’s also because I didn’t use Expedia like I did in VA. Instead I booked through a Military travel site. Cookeville Baymont charged me an extra $20 for my small Havanese dog where the Baymont in VA didn’t. I was given a room on the 2nd floor Mountain View (no elevator). Not good for me (had to carry a lot of luggage upstairs). The room was clean and had a balcony to view the mountains. Again only cable TV, no streaming service. The AC was not cold enough during the day, even though it was set at 61°F. I think it’s old and could be upgraded. The shower was not strong (trickle spray only). There are snacks and beverage vending machines on site and a washing machine. There’s also a pool but we didn’t try it out. There is a Mexican restaurant just down the hill but it was closed on the 4th of July…what a bummer. No other restaurant nearby so you’ll need to buy before coming here. Hot continental breakfast is served from 6am-9am. Overall, it’s ok for a one night stay. But I will not stay again.

I had a good experience. The CMA awards are in Nashville and this was as close to that nonsense as I wanted to get. Besides the price here was pretty good. Staff was nice, room is old but clean and very spacious. Shower has good water pressure and was clean. Certainly not a 3-4 or 5 star but a good place to stop for the night. For the most part you get what you pay for…..

The experience was perfect! Everyone was super nice and helpful. The hotel is older and there is no doubt could do with a future update but our room was clean and stocked with towels and soaps/lotions. Housekeeping manager was very helpful and one of the housekeepers was super sweet. There was one housekeeper that didn't want to deal with my towel exchange request because the bath towels I was given in exchange for mine was literally half the size. Instead she called her manager who was super nice and gave me the regular sized bath towels. The bathroom always had hot water, internet did not have a password I felt a little uncomfortable with that as anyone could have access to your info. It was also not the fastest. Seems to have been working faster when the hotel was busy. Beds and sheets were all clean upon arrival. Breakfast was good. The only thing that I think needs to change if it is left this way is fix the electric so someone can make a waffle while someone else toasts a bagel. Especially since it did get busy on the weekend. The other thing I would love to see if sugar free stuff. They did have sugar free syrup, which was great. The waffles were delicious. I love that this hotel allows dogs but really wish that people would learn to clean up after their pets. This is why we cannot have nice things people. If you don't have doggy poop bags please ask for a couple of bags from the staff that they use for the ice bucket or trash cans. Its really not that difficult. I had 2 pets and my service dog with me and managed to pick up after all three. I literally watched pet owners allow their dog to poop in the general area and just walk away. Come on not everyone has pets and the hotel should not have to pick up after your pet. News flash pet stores sell little rolls of bags, even walmart does. If worse comes to worse use a shopping bag. Overall a super nice and friendly hotel. I want to thank the entire staff for making us feel welcomed!

They have a huge pool. I loved my room. Beds were comfy. I had a patio facing the pool. I slept past breakfast. The price was very reasonable. I will definitely stay here again.

Besides the rooms needing a fresh coat of paint and some new carpet. Our stay here has been very comfortable. The pool here is very nice, especially since it is a salt water pool. The people at the front desk have been very accommodating.

This is one of the oldest hotels in Cookeville but the setting is the most beautiful. The view of the mountains is one of a kind. What needs to be improved: there’s mold that needs to be addressed in the older sections. The furniture especially what is on the patio is in bad shape. The common areas need more regular cleaning and maintenance. What’s good: The Pool! In particular the woman who works at the pool all day long is very helpful. She makes sure towels are always stocked any bugs, leaves or debris that falls in the pool she is on top of and the deck is continually cleaned throughout the day. It’s definitely hard to find hardworking people nowadays and this lady is. It worth getting a room just to have a pool day.

Baymont By Wyndham Cookeville TN The room was clean and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised since it was such a good price. We slept great. I loved the patio availability to our room. Breakfast was pretty decent also. They have liquid creamer which I was thankful for and great coffee too. I will use them again when traveling. It was just me and my granddaughter & I felt pretty safe. 😍

The hotel was in awful condition with the carpet being dirty throughout the hallways, and torn in different places. Our room was the worst we've ever stayed in, mildew on the walls and blanket, the floor was wet from the humidity, all the blankets and pillows were damp, the fridge has mold growing on the racks, there was moldy food in the corner, with a spider and cobwebs on the ceiling. The only reason we stayed was because there was a storm outside. The hotel is about 10m away from the city center where everything is, but it's right off the freeway which is nice. The staff there was very kind and friendly to speak with, which I appreciated that and they had a positive attitude.

Polite professional staff. Clean comfortable bed. Nicely furnished room. Poor water pressure. Decent TV offerings and good WiFi. Breakfast was microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, fruit, cereal, and muffins. Coffee and apple juice. Still a better breakfast than some places are offering.

HOTEL IS NOT AS EXPECTED! Online photos are not an honest interpretation of this property. The hallways and general areas are in poor repair with half-hearted improvements. Our room was not clean. There were long hairs in my bed and spills on the floor. Had to place covering over bed and sleep with my travel blanket. Room smelled like mold/musty. Pool seemed to be closed. Continental breakfast was pr-packed microwave biscuits and pastries (little Debbie style). Definately would not stay again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I will say check-in was painless. This is not intended to reflect the two women at the front desk. They were fantastic. My issues began after check-in. Twice while I was in unpacking my door was opened without warning by the maids. I didn't understand why until after driving all day I hoped to take a shower, imagine my surprise when there was no soap, no shampoo, and no towels. My door was opening because my room was not ready. I called down front desk, asked nicely for these things. I got towels. That was it. It was fine, I brought my own stuff, I let it roll off my back. The next morning before checking out I pulled back the blanket to ensure I hadn't left anything behind. Imagine my horror when I found the foot of my bed coated with DOG HAIR. This is disgusting and unacceptable. It's a 2 star motel, so I'm not expecting a ton, but clean sheets would have been the bare minimum of my expectations. They cant even do that right. Completely unacceptable, you guys have heard of Covid-19 correct?

My family has been staying at this hotel possibly 50 something years. The hotel has changed owners which is very sad. Of course the view was always beautiful because you could see the mountains. Myself my mom and two other adults we went down around the end of April and we always go back for Memorial Day. When we were there last time we always check our room before we take anything in and there was a bed bug... so we took it in a cup down to the front desk and they switched us to a different room. We went in that room to check it before we did anything else and air conditioner was broke and the toilet didn't work so I called down to the desk and said you know this room isn't it needs stuff done to it so they moved as to what they called a honeymoon suite which was a joke but at least the room was clean. The next day that we decided to check out they said we're only going to charge you for one night okay that was fine. I didn't ask for it. So we were going to go down here in June 3rd. The lady was very nasty to me on the phone so when I tried to talk to her she said I had been banned from the hotel. I don't know if it's because of the bed bug situation. But I had never said anything bad about the place because we stayed there for years. The pool is nice but the people that run the place don't care because that room that we had found a bed bug in they rented that room back out to an older gentleman that night. So we told the gentleman before we left to make sure he checks his stuff real well when he gets home because he was an older man sad that you can't trust a place you're staying. We had been staying there a long time blocked off a whole unit of rooms except for the whole family it was like a reunions every year so I hope they're happy they've lost a lot of money and I just hope that somebody takes it over because it really used to be a wonderful place I've had wonderful memories there but not anymore so stay clear if you're smart.
