Man burst into my room after midnight and I screamed so he left. Phone to call front desk broken. Asked 4 times for money back. Got run around. Don't stay there, not safe

Beware of the manager! She's a skinny old lady with salt and pepper long hair and a great big attitude. She's rude, sarcastic, and condescending. She has absolutely NO business at all being in customer service. I watched her be rude to staff and visitors alike. The rest of the staff is very nice. Red Roof Corporate needs to come check this place out. The floors in the rooms are swept, but NEVER mopped. It took 2 minutes of walking around for my sock soles to turn jet black. They don't mop, don't wipe down the walls or furniture.

I called to ask if this motel was dog friendly and they said they were and did not mention any limitations. After I booked online and showed up they told me my dog was too big. Beware you might be turned away. I asked for a late check out because I was working remotely and they told me I could check out at noon. The next day I had housekeeping show up and interrupt my meeting at 11am. After I told them I was checking out at noon I immediately got a phone call from the front desk. Then, immediately after the phone call a front desk worker came and asked if I was checking out. 3 interruptions in less than 15 minutes BEFORE noon which I was told was fine. I also spent my stay with multiple of these bugs pictured in my room

I spent nearly three days and nights in a twin bedroom room. I counted no less than 15 restaurants within less than a mile from east to west, north to south--McDonald's--Canes chicken--Wendy's--Popeye's--Dunkin Donuts--Hardee's/Carl's, Jr.--Golden Corral--Chick-fil-A--Panera Bread--Texas Roadhouse--Logan Roadhouse--Red Lobster--Fazoli--Burger King--Kentucky Fried Chicken--Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and Restaurant--Nick's Restaurant and Lounge--Grace's Lumpia. My price for my stay was $75.00!!! I was given a military discount for my years in service to the United States Army.

We frequently stay at this hotel while working. The hotel and furnishings are run down but it usually appears to be clean. The location is great and they do have smoking rooms. We requested a smoking room and they were out. The front desk person said, “ It’s ok, you can smoke, everyone does”. When we got to the room we questioned it because you could definitely smell smoke. The next morning they kept our deposit due to smoking. The front desk person had a cigarette in her hand as she checked the room. We will not be returning.

The rooms smelled like cigarette smoke and we were in a non smoking room. 😬🤦🏾‍♂️ The bathroom roof was molding. We only stayed 2 nights out of the 3 nights. The location was great.

Me and my wife and dog were needing a place asap be cause of a house fire. We called around and called around and finally we found red roof inn. The staff was amazing and the manager (omg I'm terrible with names and hope she's not mad I forgot her name, I'm sure she won't be though she was very sweet) anyways she not only got us right in but offered us a discount and the staff was always asking if we need anything. Maintenance man was very nice and professional too. These people are amazing and I have zero complaints. Thank you red roof inn and staff for our stay.

The bathroom was dirty when we checked in. There was only one bath cloth furnished for us. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. We had reservations for two nights. The room wasn't cleaned on the first day. When I went to the lobby to inquire about it, they told me the rooms only get cleaned every four days. If I wanted fresh towels I should have put the old ones outside the room. No one informed me of any of this when I checked in. I will not stay at Red Roof ever again.

I was presently surprised, I normally do not stay at these hotels due to cleaning reasons, but this 1 was on point. Nice little fella at the desk, very friendly, the room was surprisingly very clean. Minus the big hair ball covering the bathtub drain, and it had good big truck parking as advertised. If I'm ever in this area again this will be the place. Didn't give the 5 stars cause of hairball and the floors were very noisy. But overall good place to stay.

Very sketchy motel. Did not feel safe. The towels were dirty & there was very few. The room smelled like cigarettes and it was super dirty. Super loud all around the motel, people banging on door and yelling. The bathtub was super gross as well as the bathroom. The floor was dirty enough to make your feet black. I also saw a cockroach go across the bathroom so there's that! I definitely will NOT be staying here again if i can help it. The only nice thing about this hotel was the staff person was decently nice when I called asking the wifi password. Besides that would not recommend.

This place is highly disgusting, we reserved online and the email we got with payment confirmation stated we didn’t have to pay any more fees and I understand putting a card on file for accidentals but the guy asked for a $100.00 cash deposit which was really odd to us but he waved it since we complained. Now when we got to our room we were hit with a super strong plug in or some kind of smelly thing. It was unbearable like they were trying to hide a smell. As soon as we sat on the bed it was nothing but springs. We stopped in because we got tired from driving and was trying to be safe and we were so tired we said screw it and slept on that uncomfortable mattress. We laid there about a hour and the springs on that mattress kept digging into our backs!we just couldn’t lay there any longer , they need to upgrade those mattresses. We went to the office and complained and he gave us our money back and we just decided to try to make it home to our nice comfy bed.

The room doesn’t smell clean. It smells really gross. The sheets smell almost like smoke in a non-smoking room. The internet wouldn’t connect. There’s a reason it’s cheaper than others. I am worried whether or not things are being cleaned. The desk staff was very nice and the location is great, but I regret not canceling and getting a different hotel even if it would be more expensive just to be somewhere where it seemed cleaner. I think I would have been happier if it just smelled like everything was clean. I sprayed everything with my deodorant and body spray just so I could sleep,

The employees are very nice, the rooms however are not. The first room had leftovers in the fridge and trash in the can also hair all over. The second room had used soap in the shower and hair all over. Also there was no security latch on the door, it has been broken and was never replaced.

We had a king room. The rooms are very clean, the bed was comfortable. Full size coffee maker in the room. Front desk folks were very nice and welcoming. I think it has newer owners as the first time we stayed there a couple months ago the doors all had peeling paint and the grounds were not kept up well. This last couple of stays there were flowers planted and some cute Halloween decor in the office and out in the flower beds. This is now our go to place to stay on our way to Roanoke, VA.

Room was clean. Felt safe. They allow pets. Thermostat on the AC didn't work well, had to power off and on to get it to work several times at night. Didn't service the room. Ice machine is broken. Staff was friendly. Served its basic purpose, a bed and shower. I did get a surprise on my credit card. I only stayed there Friday 8/18 and Saturday 8/19. To my chagrin, I was charged for an additional 2 days, Sunday Night and Monday night even though I never returned. Management claims I called both Sunday and Monday and asked for additional nights. I was already back in Georgia and did not such thing. I challenged this with the local manager and Red Roof Corporate, both basically stiffed for the extra nights room so I spent double for my weekend stay. I provided evidence that I was not in Cookeville to no avail. So if you stay there, watch your credit card bill. I am trying to resolve with Visa. I won't be staying there again. Someone got 2 nights on my dime. Be careful.

No pool, no coffee maker, hole in bathroom door, bathroom door didn't close, no back to remote,...clerk and manager were rude...never heard back from guest services after 2 official complaints! Never stay at Red Roof again!

Immaculate room. Ac works like a charm, I had it nice and cold in there on a warm humid night. I'd come again.

On the economy end of the scale. Rooms were clean. Employees were friendly. Do get noise from I40 but it is well muted in the rooms. The 1 Ice machine was broken and no provisions were made to provide ice.

The location is awesome. Near food and shopping. The hotel itself could use a paint job on the outside. The pool was being fixed (pump issues). The room was clean and updated. There is no carpet in the room (awesome).

The room was very pleasant and clean. The beds are very hard, though. The pillows are hard, too. If you can sleep on a hard bed, you'll love this place cuz everything else is great!

The only positive things that I can write are that there was ample RV and truck parking. The exterior needed so much attention. The vinyl plank flooring was so nasty. I understand that they welcome pets, but I would let my dogs sleep on the floor because they were so dirty. The A/C was very loud. Lots of traffic noise from the road in front of the building. The tub has cigarette burns.

I stayed here one night. Front desk was very friendly and accommodating. I stayed in a pet friendly room with 2 kittens and a cat that I was delivering till my grandchildren. The room was great. No odor from previous guests and previous pet damage was barely noticeable!

Fantastic location with tons of food options within walking distance. It's not a 5 star place - the shower has seen better days and there's noticeable wear and tear. However, after 3 days of driving and car problems, it was heaven and I felt safe (solo female). Dog friendly (no hidden fees) is a huge plus!

Staff is very friendly and the property is nice. Will definitely be back most likely because of the friendly woman that checked us in. She was so kind to us and our pets. Great place to stay if you have a smaller dog. Giving three stars because I don’t think housekeeping is changing the linens like they’re supposed to. One of our pillow cases had smudged makeup on it… didn’t matter in our case since we brought our own pillows but made me concerned for the rest of the linens in the room. I would also recommend changing the heat filters or giving them a good clean. The smell was terrible when we turned on the heat. Bed was pretty comfortable and I brought my own pillow due to a neck injury so I can’t speak for that. Definitely a good place to stay if you just need a place to sleep that is pet friendly. Also a plus that there is a pretty good restaurant across the street.

We stayed here while traveling with our children and pets. Check in was easy and the overall stay wasn't bad for the price. The room was nice and the beds were clean. I liked that there wasn't carpet but the floors were sooo dirty. After taking my shoes off and walking around for 20mins my feet had turned black from the dirt. Other than the dirty floors and the pool being closed, the stay was nice and the convenience of food and other necessities nearby was helpful
