You are Panera BREAD and the bakers at this locale are OVER BAKING the baguettes! My family gets food here often because they love the salads and soups. Please, please, please, start taking your baguettes out about 5 minutes earlier they should be GOLDEN not BROWN. It makes them bitter. I have attached photos - you see the center part of the split? That is the color the WHOLE thing should be. Now look at the bottom - that is CLEARLY burned! Please note this is consistently happening, it’s not a one time thing. I hope you review your comments and address this. Edit Sept 14,2021 please see additional pictures you are still burning the baguettes! Edit Dec 13,2021 - added more pictures and I'm please to state that the most recent trip resulted in fantastic baguettes. Thank you Panera for listening. If this remains consistent I will update my star count! Update: 21Feb2021 - We ordered food here again and the baguettes were PERFECT even the pieces in the bag given to us with our group soup! Thanks again for fixing it - I have adjusted my star rating to 5 stars, keep it up!!!

I was very excited to finally get a Panera in our town so I was very disappointed when I went in and saw the layout and the kiosks for food ordering. However I figured that placing my order this way would ensure 100% accuracy as I have food allergies and can’t eat certain things. My husband placed our order with special instructions for leaving off certain things on my sandwich and adding mayo. Not only did they not add what he asked but they also did not remove the things I wanted left off. The soup was wonderful as always but for the price the servings are small and the place just feels very cold and empty inside. Cutting out human contact does not enhance eating out for me, very disappointed in our hometown store. The topper to that was the kiosk asking if I wanted to add a tip, I had no human interaction at all during my entire visit so who would be getting the tip, the Kiosk??? Just plain ridiculous!!!!

Even though the food tasted good I got very little food for the money. The bread was too hard for me to chew and it felt like I would lose a tooth chewing it. The soup was too spicy also. I didn't get everything I ordered either and they got both orders wrong for my wife and I. We've been to other restaurants in the area and they are far better. When I go out to eat again I won't be eating at Panera Bread.

I only ever go for blueberry muffins. I have been going periodically since they opened. They never have blueberry muffins! In fact they are always low on pastries. Even the water tasted like mildew. I wish things were different here.

Delicious Flatbread pizza. Staff was great! Mason was a super star customer friendly worker who deserves a praise and raise

Pleasantly surprised. We had soup and bowls (Mediterranean and Baja). The sodium levels were a bit high, but what do you expect with chain restaurants. We will definitely add them to our mix.

For almost $11, I expect a sandwich fully covered with meat, not 1/3 of the way. This isn’t ok. The taste is great, minus the layer of salt on the bread which is WAY too much. Definitely needs some work.

Got the new pizza mozzarella melt and broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl on the pick 2.

This is our 3rd time ordering bagels from the Cookeville location. Ordered and paid for yet when we show up to get them they don't have a single one for my order. We were told they needed picked up by 12. Each time we were there well before the time given. If this locations management and team can't figure this simple process out then they obviously have other issues. If needed I'll gladly give some very easy remedies to help. Put a name on them, designate a location to keep pre-orders, write do not sell on them. This isn't that hard to figure out people. Come on

Pretty sad about this experience since I go there all the time and have NEVER had this happen. Got up early to get something before work. When the lady at the window took my card to pay I could hear the manager and an employee “making fun” of me and what I ordered. So when she opened the window back up to hand my card back I informed her that she should tell the two guys behind her that maybe they should wait to talk about people until they drove off and I could hear them talking about me. Her mouth dropped open and she looked embarrassed. She covered her mic on the headset since she thought that’s where I heard it. I told her no, I could hear them talking through the drive thru window. Literally ruined my morning. This has been one of my favorite places for a long time but as long as that manager and employee work there I will not be going back.

Some good breakfast sandwiches the sip club is a great bargain if you drink coffee every day or even a few times a week. You pay a monthly fee... around $13 for free coffee or other drinks up to three times a day.

Ordered 2 Chicken Cesar Salads. Opened them up at home No Chicken. Called the manager they took my name and gave us 2 entrees on our next visit. They made up for it so kudos Panera. Thank You Andrew

The staff is usually nice but the last couple weeks there’s been some guys that are rude in the drive through. I just want my coffee, not to be pestered

If I could give zero stars, I would. They not only didn't do their job, they lied to my face! At 6am this morning, I placed an order online for a dozen everything bagels. Six hours later, I went to their store to pick up my order. When it wasn't waiting for me, I inquired what happened to the order I already paid for. I was told they were out of everything bagels so they had cancelled my order earlier that day. I told them I placed the order at 6am online and the item wasn't grayed out (which meant the item was available at the time I ordered it) and it was obvious someone didn't do their job and pull the bagels I had ordered from the shelves at the time I ordered them so they would be available when I came to pick them up. I also told them I had not received any notice the order had been cancelled, or I would never have made the 2 hour round trip to pick them up! As soon as I got back to my car, I opened my email... and, sure enough, they had NOT cancelled my order earlier that day as they said. They cancelled it the moment I walked out the store...and the time stamp on the email proves that fact. I am furious they wasted 2 hours of my time (not to mention the gas!) driving to their store and back for nothing. I will NEVER do it again!

I placed an order on their iPad on the way in. I had no contact with anyone other than when I picked up our food. All the tables that did not have people at them were dirty and had plates from prior customers. The floor had a fair amount of garbage on it. I have seen it in the past, where it was spotless, but today, it wasn't that way.

Two decades ago, Panera was the bee's knees as it were. The bagels were always crazy good, the food was healthier than fast food and of reasonable portion and price. Oh, and the coffee was above average for taste and quality. Fast forward to 2022-23... Oh, how time has not been kind. Price has increased quite a bit. That would be okay if quality kept up. Unfortunately, there's been a quality creep in food that most recently results in less than half a bowl of rice and humus when a Mediterranean bowl is ordered for $11 plus tax. Coffee is almost $3, and at least half the time, one or both carafes are mostly empty. The seats have torn upholstery, and the tables usually are in need of cleaning, but no such cleaning available. Also, once upon a time, Panera recycled. Not anymore, at least not at our local site here in Cookeville. And then there is the seemingly lackluster energy of many of the employees. I just don't get it. It's hard to spend money at an establishment that shows many signs of attrition and fatigue. I enjoy Panera for meetings over coffee, but I no longer enjoy spending money there because I find myself grumbling and grumpy too often from consistently underwhelming experiences.

Food was Delicious! Service was Great and the Store was clean!

I literally treat myself to Panera Bread and this is what I got..BURNT!!!. wont be back here again.

The turkey bacon bravo is great, the tomato soup is all ways good and we get bagels to go for the next day

I never go to panera but I dropped my wife off at her work and decided to try out their spicy chicken sandwich. The sandwich came with chips. The chips were just normal potato chips. The sandwich was OVER $10 which is ridiculously over priced but I knew panera is expensive. What I didn't know is that their spicy chicken sandwich would have ABSOLUTELY ZERO flavor at all. No spice, no heat, no salt, pepper. NOTHING. It was the most bland flavorless sandwich I've ever eaten. There is literally more flavor in a piece of American cheese on cheap white bread. A cold old French fry from McDonald's has more flavor. There was NOTHING. I tried. No seasonings AT ALL. Just dry cooked chicken with some lettuce and some mayo looking stuff that had no flavor either. I neve leave reviews but this is just absolutely LUDICROUS.

never in my 15 years of life have I experienced such love, warmth and kindness as I did upon visitation to Cookeville Panera, I was immediately greeted with a warm smile from the tall brunette manager. He immediately gave me a warm face, and then took my order. I ordered the chipotle chicken all sandwich with avocado avocado is harder than I would’ve liked, but still delicious. Welcome to Panera. They where so diverse and all employees looked extremely happy to be there. I also got a side of mac and cheese and a baguette and they both brought a beaming grin to my face. The day i paid PANERA BREAD a visit was quite cold and chilly, so the cheeses warmth of the max and cheese paired with the love the employees gifted me maid my day. ❤️🥜🍑🍆😻i will be returning. FIVE STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Small but mighty, this place has a great atmosphere for food or hunching over a laptop for hours. Coffee club keeps my caffeine addiction going strong and the staff are very chill 😎

Came in with a group of 6 around 11 am on a rainy Saturday. There were only 4 to 5 other people in at that time. We were served rather quickly and enjoyed our differing brews, teas, and drinks, as well as short breads, muffins, and bagels. We enjoyed our visit and will return again!! Perfect time to come as they just switched out the coffees...nothing like a fresh brew!!

Just love their tomato soup & french baguette. Always fresh, hot & don't have to wait forever. So much better than an average burger with cold fries. Always clean. Their turkey club is awesome also.

Ordered a full Asian crunch chicken salad and my wife's half salad was larger as well as there were only 2 small chuncks of chicken in it. If I wanted a half salad I would of ordered one

Fantastic stop for lunch and supper. The flatbread pizza a lot for one person, but it was delicious. The Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt is one of the best sandwiches I've had, the chips left much to be desired though (consider replacing them). Finish it off with a chocolate croissant and you won't regret it. Prices are little high for semi-fast food, but I'll be back.

Restaurant was clean and everyone was friendly. We did have to have a sandwich remade because it came with cheese when we asked for no cheese but they quickly and happily fixed a new sandwich. Amber was super helpful and friendly, would go back again.
